Really annoying seeing all the tweets making jokes about WW3...americans are so out of touch with reality that they think a third world war would be "funny."

But I don't think it is going to happen. People thought the Iraq war would lead to WW3 too but it didn't happen.

That military commander they killed will just be replaced and exchange of attacks will continue on a small scale. There is just nothing to gain from escalating this, for any country.

Soleimani is directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in Syria, Iraq, and throughout the Middle East, not to mention the recent deadly suppression of anti-Iran protesters in Iran and Iraq. Can one of you guys please explain why you’re mourning his death?

Probably because..the man was set up by either Israel or the US to later be killed by the US later..poor man.

Soleimani was also a deadly enemy of Sunni Muslims, but I’m sure that’s of no interest to anyone on this board.

That doesn’t mean you unilaterally decide to assisnate him without congressional approval or the will of the people you were elected to serve, essentially starting a war no one agreed to engage in.

This is strange. Although, i strongly believe a war with Iran would hurt Trump's re-election chances so the controllers intend to wait until after November. To me, his comments seem to indicate that there could be a domestic false flag to be blamed on Iran and he is saying it so that you expect it or emotionally blame Iran.

But not too long ago...
"Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) introduced legislation to prevent Trump from launching an unconstitutional war with Iran. “The administration’s approach to Iran is ripped straight out of the same playbook that launched us into the failed invasion of Iraq, and Congress needs to assert its constitutional authority and halt the march to war,”

So we'll wait and see how the whole thing plays out.

If no one cared when Obama droned several thousand people, including US citizens, why all the pearl-clutching now? Soleimani was in a war zone, travelling with the same men who have been aiding in his attacks on US servicemen and civilians. Don’t you wonder what he was doing there?

Soleimani was a murderous thug, responsible for so much misery and death, and openly threatening more violence against US forces. Since when does the White House need special authorization to delete a threat to Americans?

I was very vocally against the Iraq war and most things George W. Bush did — and this was on a Christian Zionist message board, no less — so understand who you are talking to. I’m not one of those people.

But only the most clueless think the path to peace in the Middle East lies through letting Iran take it over. Soleimani was the architect of much of the death and destruction in Syria and Iraq, and there is very good reason why people in both those countries are celebrating his death. His death will bring less war, not more.

FurthermoreIran is in no position to wage full-scale war against the US right now, and there is no way the US will invade. There will be more attacks on US forces, and more retaliation against Iran and her proxies, but there will be no full scale war.

Finally, you say Zionists never want peace and dialogue? Is that why people like you refuse to talk reasonably to people like me about a solution to the Palestinian situation, and instead just repeat the same old lies about Israel? Is that why people like you crap all over any discussion between Israel and her Arab neighbors of ways to improve the lives of everyone in the Middle East? Be serious. You won’t even have a decent dialogue with ME, but Christian Zionists are to blame for the lack of conversation about peace? Based on our interactions here, which anyone can look through and read for themselves, who would believe that?

Yes, it's self defense, but only in the sense that shooting a murderer who's stalking you is self defense. Pre-emptive? In the last half year, Iran has shot down a US drone, attacked US-allied vessels in the Straight of Hormuz, struck a Saudi refinery, attacked US positions in Iraq, killing American soldiers and contractors, and finally, attacked the US embassy in Baghdad. Any one of those incidents is an act of war, and a legitimate cause for retaliation against Iran.
