"Preemptive" Self Defense
American troops are in Iraq by congressional authority, and with the permission of the Iraqi government.

Soleimani is the leader of the forces that have been attacking Americans in Iraq and elsewhere, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries to Americans. Soleimani was in Iraq to direct even more attacks on Americans.

Yes, it's self defense, but only in the sense that shooting a murderer who's stalking you is self defense. Pre-emptive? In the last half year, Iran has shot down a US drone, attacked US-allied vessels in the Straight of Hormuz, struck a Saudi refinery, attacked US positions in Iraq, killing American soldiers and contractors, and finally, attacked the US embassy in Baghdad. Any one of those incidents is an act of war, and a legitimate cause for retaliation against Iran.

For your people, everything is a good excuse to attack another country, and if there is not a good excuse, your people invent It.

You're a lying fraud. The drone was above Iranian airspace. Every single event you listed is unsubstantiated. There's no proof of Iranian responsibility in any of it, especially the embassy. You're a shill for the US State Dept. and the billionaire news agencies you link.

While 10's of millions have been murdered, countless more displaced, trillions wasted on wars the last 20 years... you have the nerve to run to VC to share zio propaganda, celebrating illegal operations aimed at pushing Iran into conflict. It's disgusting to talk with someone who allies themselves with such evil entities.

Then why is Arab media full of pictures of Iranian-backed militia at the US embassy, under graffiti that declares Soleimani their leader?

On Tuesday, Iraqi protesters stormed the gates of the American embassy inside the Green Zone, prompting security forces to launch gas bombs.
While sources with the Popular Mobilization reported that gunfire was fired by the security forces, a number of people were wounded.
Pictures of several expressions staged by the intruders showed on the walls of the American embassy, including "Qasim Soleimani Qaidi".
Everyone knows these militias are owned and operated by Soleimani, and it's no coincidence that he was travelling with a leader of Hezbollah when he was plugged.

That's a good one, considering you're the one who's linking to Tucker Carlson. If I turned on CNN right now, who's opinion do you think they'd more closely reflect? Yours, or mine?

Is this not an act.of self defence then? Considering how many people have been killed by drone strikes.

Yes, it's self defense, but only in the sense that shooting a murderer who's stalking you is self defense
But not if it's a drone that's stalking you?

Lol at you.

Says “It’s a good thing we have trump, if we had Hilary we’d be at war with Iran”

Then cheers for trumps actions that are very likely to cause war with Iran...

For someone who wants to “get out of the Middle East” he sure has a funny way of showing it

Iranians are reportedly cheering, too, by the way, but the regime in Tehran has shut down or restricted the internet again, in preparation for reprisals against those citizens who were protesting them recently. Unlike fantasies about reprisals for anti-Trump activities, thousands of Iranians (and Iraqis) have been murdered by the regime in Iran for protesting against it, and Soleimani is one of those responsible for their murders. It's no wonder the people are celebrating, but it's a mystery why people like @DavidSon defend the people who have killed so many of them.
Yeah my net is so blocked right now! Go donate brown pants and military diapers to your army, they'll need it.

Sovereign governments are allowed to associate with anyone they choose moron. Lol graffiti and a flag. PMU/Hezbollah were a former US ally that were aided by Iran back when they helped take down Saddam. Hezbollah was the most involved force eradicating ISIS/Daesh- they are heroes. It's perverse the US employed their anti-ISIS unit to bomb the actual people fighting terrorism. There's been no intelligence as proof that they attacked the US base, just like nothing other than empty accusations over the Saudi oil field attack.

The silly video from your man Pompeo of like 50 Iraqis running in the streets, shows you know nothing other than what the puppet-masters tell you.

By committing what will be condemned as an illegal assassination, the rest of the world will turn even harder on the US. Iran should restrain themselves and not retaliate. Gather support to confront the US with international consensus.

In the last half year, Iran has...struck a Saudi refinery,
Iam not going to say “I can’t believe you said this” but when exactly did this happen? The Houthis clearly came out and took responsibility for the refinery attacks. I know, just like establishment media, you are going to say “Iran did it” because the Houthis used Iranian weaponry. We can stay rational. The Saudis are currently buying French weaponry that they are using in the war in Yemen. Would you rationally claim that the French are waging war in Yemen and should be sanctioned? Inotherwords, France is to be blamed for every single dead Yemeni in this war.

I know!!! The inconsistency is always baffling.

This happened the last time your internet was shut down. Curious that we don't see the same steady efforts towards the Kashmiris under Indian-enforced internet shutdown.

If Hillary had been elected, the US and Iran would already be at war. Iran is behind multiple attacks on US forces in Iraq, including the attack on the US embassy in Baghdad, and the rocket attacks on American troops at the Baghdad airport that just happened, so if Trump really wanted to go to war, he would have no problem justifying it. The fact that the US and Iran are not at war yet says something.
Why dont you get off America's jock-strap. For real, show some concern for your own country.......
