They are the Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito, or Lemieux and Gretzky, of our times. Remarkable players...
With some recent trades I believe the Rangers are on the rise (I think there is a curse or something over NYC sports teams, especially the Knicks...yikes!!!)
What brings you/back to VC? I followed the articles for about 6 years now. I was looking for evidence from the various forms of media of mind control/manipulation. This site seemed to fit the bill. I recently discovered the Forum section looking for good conversation about the state of things in the world and US. I posted mostly under religion/spirituality and was attacked and insulted for my adherence to Catholicism (not by everyone). I merely tried to dispel some of the misunderstandings that people have about the Catholic Church. It wasn't bringing me peace - too many trips around the sun to be bothered. I think people (maybe even me) believe what they want to believe and have a hard time breaking out of old habits of thinking. So, I stay away from that section and just check in to forum once in a while. I do speak with a wonderful person privately, I think, who helped me weather the storm.
I was a long time lurker of VC. I never had an account under the previous message board. My sophmore year in college when I was taking socialism 101 as an elective, then my next class wasn’t until 4 hours later, so I’d study for that class then wound up stumbling across VC.
2017 I was sitting at home one morning and decided to make an account. I try to put input my personal experiences here and show more real life and also show my perspective on subjects.
I think we all have a different perspective. It’s my belief that even though we look at the same facts our brains process that information differently so our agreements/disagreements on the surface may or may not look the same. Even if we jump to the same conclusion. Especially now with so much information at our disposal, I always encourage the posters here to jump to their own conclusions and think critically.
I shy away from religion for the most part. I believe in God only and look at Jesus as an example on how to carry yourself as a citiizen, servant of God. I’m not perfect by any means, but I also give people benefit of the doubt when we argue or whatever. I’m pretty easy to get along with and will have any ones back on here because I never feel the need to attack their beliefs
And yeah, Sid and Malkin are generational is players.
Always feel spoiled as a Pens fan knowing they had those two. They’ve provided some great hockey for the fans.
NY is young now. Rebuild time. Seems like they’ll be fine in net when Lundqvist retires. Still liked Alain Vigneault as a coach. Thought he’d be around until Hank retired. But hockey is a constantly changing roster turnover.
