Next time use your OWN thoughts for a better grade. Constructive criticism there. :)
I don't want to be high handed but our classically trained friend is more interested in a 'bat and ball' opportunity to post up emotive and innacurate anti-Christian material.

Sadly, none of that will count for much when @eriunios meets the Lord Jesus Christ personally one day...

Well I clicked on the thread hoping to read some interesting posts but the several pages of memes have disappointed me.

This eriunous character has been a member since Sunday (according to their profile) and is probably just a troll.

One of my 'favourite' anti-God memes comes from Ricky Gervais, but what it says tells me more about Ricky than God ;-)

I think one of the worst parts of Hell will be to remember the numerous times you had the truth right under your nose and chose to reject it...

One thing the Greeks had a very good hold of was the quality of debate and the use and abuse of rhetorical devices.

As someone keen on the Classics, you may find this outline of logical debating fallacies as interesting as I did ;-)

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies

One paragraph stood out to me...

"The conscious or habitual use of fallacies as rhetorical devices are prevalent in the desire to persuade, when the focus is more on communication and eliciting common agreement rather than the correctness of the reasoning. One may consider the effective use of a fallacy by an orator as clever but by the same token the reasoning of that orator should be recognized as unsound, and thus the orator's claim, supported by an unsound argument, will be regarded as unfounded and dismissed."

Then I noticed this one ..

"Fallacy of many questions (complex question, fallacy of presupposition, loaded question, plurium interrogationum) – someone asks a question that presupposes something that has not been proven or accepted by all the people involved. This fallacy is often used rhetorically, so that the question limits direct replies to those that serve the questioner's agenda."

Then I saw this and it all became clear...

"Shotgun argumentation – the arguer offers such a large number of arguments for a position that the opponent can't possibly respond to all of them."

The portrait of the Christian "God"
in the Book of Revelation
"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer...
For thou hast said in thine heart...
I will make myself like the Most High!"
Isa.14:12-14

I assume you're pointing out the evil appearance of these artists' interpretations of scripture. I think they're certainly a good representation of what Satan's imitation of the Lamb might look like-- because that's what he does. He imitates God. Never would have put this particular one together, though. Thanks!

I hope you don't feel personally attacked. It is the demonic spirits behind the marble faces of the gods I'm not so fond of!

I would rather have had a more text based discussion, with considered responses but I am aware different age groups have different communication patterns and debating experience.
Interesting topic, but yes, it's kind of a drag to wade through the flooding. Did anyone bring up the book of Enoch? Or Gen 6? Correlates to the gods/demigods, mythology, etc imo.

I read "Forbidden Secrets of the Labyrinth" by Mark A Flynn a couple of years ago. He is very well read in Greek and Roman Mythology as well as the sources you mentioned.
