Right because privatizing the police was a Karl Marx dream. I would have thought you might be fine letting the free market decide who should be a cop.

Your clearly fine with socialism, as long as the police work for the oppressors.
I'm not saying Chaz is identical to the Paris Commune. I said it's in the same spirit. Rebelling against the national government and claiming the center of Seattle / Paris for themselves.

I'm not against socialism or capitalism. I'm a Christian, I favour the Third Way of Pope Leo XIII.

Yeah I'm just wondering how policing and education would look under a distributism type of government.

It sounds like you would reform these sections of society as well.

I dont think any system or law can be more favorable to the average persons pursuit of liberty, peace, and justice than the U.S constitution. Ideally its about as close to perfect as it gets in terms of ensuring and upholding individual freedom. It has the perfect checks and balances so for Chaz or anyone else to think they can establish something more beneficial to live under is naive. If this nation with the constitution can fall and be overrun by evil then it just proves in a definitive sense that man in all his vain attempts cannot establish any real lasting peace on earth. Evil will overcome, because man in his fallen state has an evil heart. A bad tree cannot produce good fruit. We toil with our hands to do something that man cannot do which is establish sustainable world peace.

I'm all for decentralisation of the police. I'm not against a strong state with a strong defense that protects its citizens from outside threats either. But police used to be a more local institution with the friendly neighbourhood cop who practically knew every resident by name. I'm not in favour of a militarized police force at all - militarization is for the military - but it requires a high-trust society to go back to that way of community politics and you can't have it with open-border policies facilitating the continuous change of these communities' makeup.

Same goes for education. You could argue for a partly federal education curriculum, for instance when it comes to the fundamentals, eg. math and writing. Perhaps some national history and philosophy. The rest of education material taught in schools could then be decided on a more local level. I'm not saying this is the way, I'm just brainstorming.

But decentralization is the crux of the solution, according to me. But can't go around the fact that in order to reverse this globalist, centralizing trend, nationalism is the first step in that direction, nationalism in the sense that political and economic autonomy are returned from transnational or supranational institutions to national democracies. However, it doesn't mean nationalism is therefore the final step.

They also brutalized some people before they deported them. The same individuals who decried police brutality and thuggish cops outstanding their bounds.
And none of this seems just a little too perfect to you? Nothing seems “off” ? You really think all it would take for civilization to turn into a crime ridden cesspool is a couple of days without cops? Come on man.:

Is there a reason you and Tuesday afternoon or whatever his name is are following me around all of a sudden? Never interacted with you in the past and now here you both are continuously popping up making up arguments I never made to argue against and being nasty to me even when I’m Agreeing with you. It’s getting old quick.

CHOP is the perfect opportunity for those who are already criminally inclined.
So then it doesn’t seem off to you. Ok.

When something seems too good to be true, it usually is. You have a perfect little play town where all your worst nightmares are coming true and confirming all your deeply held fears and beliefs. In less then a week. I’ll just leave it at that.

I’ve used it once. With a real life stalker. Get over yourself. What argument would that be exactly? Since you’ve attributed a good half a dozen arguments to me over the last two weeks that I didn’t even make. I’ll wait.

Yeah it could all be a psychological operation, but it still doesnt mean that criminally inclined individuals wont still embrace the idea of chop and carry out their operations there

The leadership and instigators of what has transpired could be controlled. I dont know, but of course it could be compartmentalized where the individuals who hop on the bandwagon are just commoners. I wouldnt completely rule it out.

If I had to make a prediction though if CHOP is to remain it will eventually be overrun by criminal elements and weed out naive, but well meaning citizens and become a haven for legal illegal activity with no police force around. It will become a condensed version of the purge where all unlawful activity is acceptable unless Trump does something...

Seems like a big ole’ festival by day.
A drug dealers den by night.

I mean if a community doesn’t want a police force let them have that wish. I have no problems with communities wanting to police themselves. Just don’t bite the hand that feeds if it turns into a ghetto then people start complaining about gang activities, etc.

People are never going to be happy no matter which side of the spectrum you see things. I’ve given up hope on society
