Which is an entirely ridiculous comparison to the objective of determining a historical civilization based on their physical fingerprint on the land. The fact that you even used this to clarify your position reminds me to not take a whole lot you say on the subject seriously. You are also promoting dumbing down the next generation of Christians.

I mean seriously, if you were to die and your family was to go through your things, there could, in theory, be some form of evidence from this time. If there wasn't some form of evidence, there would be someone who remembered you from this time even if this information wasn't posted for the general public.

Persepolis was an ancient city that was literally burned to the ground and there are still remains that allow archeologists to reconstruct some kind of history.

Zoroastrianism is referenced by many ancient writers external to this faith so that we know that this actually existed in antiquity.

No one knew Solomon. No one external to Israel knew David. Not even the people who supposedly took them captive in Babylon apparently.

Your comment is absurd to the point of being insulting.

Books are being written on the history of Palestine and it is only a matter of time before this information becomes dominant.

This book was written in 2018. This book and numerous other books like it like have been released within the last few years, have the potential to be the future if the powers that be aren't able to implement their religious blending program before this because so many people are so stubborn about opening their eyes to the reality of history they need a babysitter to mediate. Then, they will complain about this babysitter as though they were victims when they could have chosen to pursue becoming educated in a way that would retain their own independence. Just sad really.

Palestine was always Palestine. It was never Israel. The historical fingerprint on the physical land shows that this is the reality as disappointing as this may be to many.
Opinion does not unanimously support the above stated position:-

Description
The book that shook a large part of the world 20 years ago has finally been updated and brought back into print (read the revues of the original book on Amazon). Philistine is truly an explosive blockbuster—it will shock you; it will grip you; it will inform you; until you read it you will never understand the Middle East—the world’s most volatile region.

As the book progresses the learned author unfolds the fascinating history of Israel and Palestine that every Western politician would do well to both read and to absorb. And the author initiates readers into the appalling, deceitful practices of the Western news media as well as the anti-Semitism and anti-Israel bias that permeates the United Nations. The author also documents the shocking truth about the Palestinian Refugee issue.

The PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization) peace deal with Israel is not a peace deal at all, it is only a deceitful Islamic truce, a copy of the one used by Mohammed against the Kuraish people and the one used by Saladin against the Crusaders—both times the truces ended in Islamic victories. There can never be peace with Israel, only eventual victory for Islam. The Arab-Israeli conflict is not over land per se, it is a 1,400-year-long spiritual conflict that will end only when one side is vanquished, or when the Jewish Messiah stands on the Mount of Olives.

Over 1,500 quotations and references document the devastating broadsides the author courageously fires in this updated version of the 1995 runaway international bestseller that was published in 11 languages. As the Editor has said: “This book is a ‘must’ on the reading list of both the informed and uninformed.”

So you respond with a book that is basically political propaganda rather anything that could be considered an archeological counterargument. This is what I would expect from you at this point I guess.

Vixy, it would be a good idea to not jump on bandwagons when you haven't read this book and I'm guessing you have never actually read the Bible all the way through either. When you have done even one of these things, then it would be a better time to have a discussion about these things.
It says Israel should never be divided. How are you opposing that? Explain instead of calling me ignorant, pls miss. I'm thinking "A great falling away in those times" fits here bc thats not christian thinking. "Those who bless Israel also blesses himself and those who curse Israel also curses themselves"

If you believe Satan is the father of lies, you might want to think about the claim of an ancient Israel when there is no evidence of such a thing because this is being revealed to be a lie in and of itself.
John‬ ‭8:44‬ ‭
You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Would satan...the father of lies want to lie to people? ‭‭What’s in it for him? Hurting God and hurting the people that God made who he thinks needs to bow down to him perhaps? If he can convince you or anyone through lies that the Bible isn’t the truth and that God isn’t real..his battle is over. Anyone he convinces and he will both be in the lake of fire where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Salvation comes through faith in believing God..if you don’t believe God then...

I simply responded in kind. Revisionist Palestinian history is part of the Islamic narrative with the UN, which is obviously the strategy that became the chosen option after military means to wipe out Israel proved unsuccessful.

There sure is reason to believe that the book of revelation will happen...God said it will. You seem to have trust issues with God..but then I don’t think you actually believe God in what He says and how you can say you’re a Christian is beyond me at this point. You don’t believe the Bible, don’t believe the trinity, you need proof to believe anything. Don’t believe Jesus is God...how can you be saved? I have heard that seminary’s are a good way to lose your faith..
I actually don't have trust issues with God because I have complete trust that He cares about these questions that I have and is not going to leave me or forsake me. He cares, while you don't seem to care and seem to think I should be satisfied to live within the same cage of insufficient reasoning.

I have complete faith and trust that God wants more than what you are saying I should be satisfied with. I have complete trust that God does not have the same limitations you are trying to impose.

However, I also realize that some may see this as a change in perspective, but it is not really. It is just an example of people hearing what they want to hear or evidence of this phenomenon. You were always hearing what you wanted to hear even though I have posts where I have been commenting that I didn't think people were not Christian all along even though people were telling them all sorts of things because they didn't say something inline with an acceptable narrative.

I even told AspiringSoul he was a Christian one time because my definition of who is saved was always more informal than the one that has been inherited by the Catholic church within the Protestant churches.

I have never really considered gnostic teachings to be the Devil's heresy like some have said throughout the years. Quite frankly, I think most of what is said about Gnostics is church gossip and they don't have the opportunity to defend themselves, so I keep an open mind. I have made comments like this all along.

So I have always been more of a fringe Christian with a classic church experience. I have been to all the traditional classes. I know all the traditional lessons. I just choose to trust that God doesn't want me to waste my intelligence becoming a puppet for this information. Remember, He is good.

Did you read the book? It is not a political narrative. You were being presumptuous. You weren't responding in kind.

The world will be a better place when your kind of Christian is replaced. There is a reason why your church numbers will continue to go down and it has nothing to do with people rejecting God. They are more than likely rejecting you and your representation of God.

I responded in with a personal example - there is a tendency to under-report or simply not report bad news. To dig deeper, I commend the website you disliked (well, I commend it to others if not yourself).

I pray the Lord removes the scales from your eyes. Don’t forget, John 14:6 is true or it is not. There is no softly defined middle ground.

More than likely they had their ears tickled and fell away from the true faith...the Bible says that will happen too. And when you fall away from the faith..the true faith you are indeed rejecting God for another gospel.

You don’t actually have any trust in God and have left Him..if you ever even believed..for untruths and myths.

Yes, God does care for you..but there is a right way and a wrong way...you are firmly in the wrong way category...you can’t even see who is a true Christian and call people that aren’t even close like Aspiring Soul a Christian..really? He’s a muslim. You can have an informal definition..but God has a formal definition...one must believe in Jesus to be saved..which means one must believe that He is also God. You can’t be saved by a man alone though He needed to also be man to save us..He is God and if you reject that you do reject Jesus.

Yes, God cares about you and wants you to be saved..but you come to God on His terms, not yours.

That Kieth Green song popped up on my phone again. The lyrics are profound:-

Lord, the feelings are not the same,
I guess I'm older, I guess I've changed.
And how I wish it had been explained, that as you're growing you must remember,
That nothing lasts, except the grace of God, by which I stand, in Jesus.
I know that I would surely fall away, except for grace, by which I'm saved.
Lord, I remember that special way,
I vowed to serve you, when it was brand new.
But like Peter, I can't even watch and pray, one hour with you,
And I bet, I could deny you too.
But nothing lasts, except the grace of God, by which I stand, in Jesus.
I'm sure that my whole life would waste away, except for grace, by which I'm saved.
But nothing lasts, except the grace of God, by which I stand, in Jesus.
I know that I would surely fall away, except for grace, by which I'm saved.

Nope, I never left him.
That I can believe..I don’t think you really ever knew Him...you think you did because you read the Bible and went to a Bible college...but if you didn’t believe Jesus is God..you can’t have known God..which is why you are having so much trouble with real theology..it doesn’t fit what you think Christianity should be.

So you would ask the Lord to reveal to me that the Bible is an inaccurate record of His word and that Jesus is not quite the Messiah Christians believe Him to be? Seriously?!
Yup, I sure do hope that you get rid of the superstitions you are holding on to that are preventing you from seeing the true landscape of the history concerning the Bible according to the Bible and according to the physical fingerprint of the land.

Believing that the Bible or any book is perfected is superstitious, to begin with. If this were true, there would be no competition over this claim after many centuries. You are supporting ecumenism when you hold on superstitions like this.

It is also hypocritical to assume some magical seal exists on the Bible and not have a reason or explanation for why there are no observable healings that happen in the church with any sort of consistency. You are picking and choosing when to believe in some sort of magical reality instead of looking for when a belief or a statute of truth bears evidence for itself that it is true.

I sure am hoping the scales that are causing this confusion will be removed from your eyes.

I think you can stop calling yourself a Christian now....
