No! Monday is the first day. Sunday is the 7th, according to Christianity, because on the 7th day he rested.
Satan didn't name the days of the week. I think it was actually a combination of Roman and Anglo Saxon paganism.
I don't have a god, so obeying or disobeying doesn't really factor into it for me.
These are just linguistic curiosities that are interesting.
I just wonder how many christians know they are calling on Odin every time they say god. Because it seems quite ironic to me.
Not according to the Bible and I am a Christian who believes in the Bible. In the Bible Friday (Good Friday) was preparation day, the day Jesus died, then Saturday was the Sabbath which was the Seventh day and Sunday the first day of the Week Jesus rose from the dead. Catholics who changed the Sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday claim they changed the day of worship because Jesus rose on Sunday. No! Monday is the first day. Sunday – fulfillment of the Sabbath. Sunday is expressly distinguished from the Sabbath which it follows chronologically every week; for Christians its ceremonial observance replaces that of the Sabbath...
The Sabbath, which represented the completion of the first creation, has been replaced by Sunday which recalls the new creation, has been replaced by Sunday which recalls the new creation inaugurated by the Resurrection of Christ...
In respecting religious liberty and the common good of all, Christians should seek recognition of Sundays and the Church’s holy days as legal holidays. The Catechism of the Catholic Church Section 2 Article 3 (1994):
No one has the right to change God's law. Not even Christ (who is God) changed the law including the fourth commandment about the Sabbath. He said in Matthew 5:17-20, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven."
Anything to do with paganism comes from Satan. That is what I meant. Even the change of day of worship from the Saturday to Sunday comes from Satan through his human agents.Satan didn't name the days of the week. I think it was actually a combination of Roman and Anglo Saxon paganism.
Well I worship God who created the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them. Obeying Him is important not what one calls the days of the week.I don't have a god, so obeying or disobeying doesn't really factor into it for me.

They are not calling on odin or whoever that god is every time they call the fourth day of the week Wednesday. To them its just a day. Certainly it is to me.just wonder how many christians know they are calling on Odin every time they say god. Because it seems quite ironic to me.
