Hell is located in the heart.

Sorry to have to drop this bomb, but it's true. I'm saying that the differences between "love" and "devilry" are slim to none. At least in the eye of the beholder anyway.

I’m admitting that there are less accurate Bibles.
Agreed, the NASB is considered one of the most accurate popular English translations. However it doesn't mean it's perfect. Translators are still biased by tradition and church dogma.

And @Colonel Valerio said hell was in the mind. Your average person brushes off statement's like these but they're valid answers.

Humans aren't given the faculties to perceive the afterlife. All we're able to know is this moment. Belief in the afterlife is an area of personal vision. Different cultures have their own vision of what is logically the opposite of "heaven", possibly a place of punishment. As we've learned the Greeks believed in Hades or an underworld while the Israelites only had a word for death.

For me heaven and hell are concepts; devices to communicate our belief systems. When Jesus uses the idea of hell in a teaching, it wasn't to specify some literal dimension of death and torture. He was using the common concept of a miserable existence to drive across a message. The synonyms of hell are misery, agony, anguish. It's just another word to describe living in sin, cut off from our God given purity and connection to the divine.

"Jesus said, 'If those who lead you say to you, "See, the kingdom is in the sky," then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, "It is in the sea," then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."- Gospel of Thomas

Instead using the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas, how about you find a verse/ passage from the New Testament of the actual Bible that supports your position?

John's Gospel is highly Gnostic (so are Paul's epistles and the Apocalypse of St John of Patmos)

The pagan idea of eternal torment has many Christians believe not only in a natural immortality of the soul, but a hellfire burning forever and forever where the lost are constantly being cooked by their sins. Thankfully the Bible shows us that our loving God would never do that. The wicked/unrighteous will die in hellfire forever. They will never exist ever again.

The word “eternal” (Heb. ’olam; Greek aion, aionios) carries different meanings, depending on the immediate context. For example, when associated with God (Deuteronomy 33:27, ”everlasting”), the word expresses His eternity. When related to human beings (Exodus 21:6, “forever”), the word is limited by their life span. When qualifying fire (Matthew 18:8, Matthew 25:41, “everlasting”), it implies that the fire will not go out until it fully consumes what is being burned. This means that the “eternal fire” will be eternal in the sense that it will consume the wicked completely and irreversibly, leaving them “neither root nor branch” (Malachi 4:1).

The theory of an everlasting punishment of the wicked has serious implications. If the wicked are punished forever, then evil will never be eradicated. Also, all human life derives from God (Deuteronomy 32:39, Psalm 36:9), who has “no pleasure in the death of the wicked” (Ezekiel 33:11). Why then would He continue to grant life to the wicked to suffer in endless torment? Would it not be much more reasonable for Him just to end their existence? If the wicked will be punished “according to their works” (Revelation 20:12), why then should a short human life be punished endlessly?

Ezekiel 33:11

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Psalm 16:10 For Thou wilt not leave my soul in hell (planet Earth); neither wilt Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption.

Isaiah 14:9-15
14:9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, [even] all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
14:10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? Art thou become like unto us?
14:11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, [and] the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the Morning (Star)! [How] art thou cut down to the earth, which didst weaken the nations!
14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the North:
14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like (take the Place of) The Most High.
14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world (Lucifer/Satan) be cast out.

John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world (Lucifer/Satan) cometh, and hath NOTHING in me (no influence).

John 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world (Lucifer/Satan) is judged.

Revelation 12:7-9
12:7 And there WAS war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon (Lucifer); and the dragon fought and his angels,
12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out TO THE EARTH, and his angels (you - Luke 9:55) were cast out with him (Matthew 25:41).

We are repeatedly told throughout Scripture that planet Earth -- where Lucifer/Satan was cast and is temporarily running the world through his worldly institutions (including church and state) -- IS hell.

We have experienced 6000 years of Satan's MISrule, and it is worse now than it has ever been, and yet people STILL don't see this place for what it really is: a maximum security prison reform school for the criminally insane.

The flames (The Fire ) are reserved for the Last Day, when ALL of us are due to be judged by Christ (
John 5:22).

Only those who read, study and digest, i.e. put into practice
The Way home or face The Fire by JAH have any hope of surviving Judgment Day, and experiencing the Sabbath Millennium, i.e. the 1000-year reign of Christ (The One Whom God appointed and anointed to be our King) here on Earth.

How Many are Being Punished in Hell Today?

How many lost souls are being punished in hell today according to the Bible? Answer, 2 Peter 2:9, "... the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation, godly are delivered, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished." Where are the unjust? Reserved. Any of you ever made a reservation? It's something that is held for you. You don't want this reservation. The unjust are-- there being reserved, they're being held for this day of punishment.

Again, John 12:48, "... the word that I have spoken", Jesus said, "will judge them in the last day." We read a lot about that in John Chapter 6. When are they going to be punished, rewarded, judged? The last day. How many people are burning in hell now? Nobody.

Nobody's burning in hell yet, according to the Bible, because the Lord says, they are reserved, haven't been judged yet, resurrection hasn't taken place, even the resurrection of damnation hasn't taken place yet.

A sobering thought for those that don't realize that this is hell (planet Earth), and we have been here for thousands of earth years:

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of Man which is from heaven.

All Bible references to the “eternal fire” should be seen as allusions to the post-millennium “lake of fire” of Revelation 20. Thus, it is unbiblical to speak of an already-present, ever-burning hell.

Malachi 4
4:1 For, behold, the Day cometh, that shall burn like an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the "I AM" Lord of hosts, that it shall leave of them neither root nor branch (nothing).
4:2 But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in The Day that I shall do [this], saith the "I AM" Lord of hosts.
4:4 Remember ye and return to The Law of Moses My servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, [with] the Statutes and Judgments.
4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the "I AM" (Sura 43:61):
4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Compare with:

Revelation 14:10-12
14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the Wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and its image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of its name.
14:12 Here is the patience of the holy ones: here [are] they that KEEP the Commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Revelation 20:12-15
20:12 And I saw the "Dead", small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another Book was opened, which is [the Book] of Life: and the "Dead" were judged out of those things which were written in the Books, according to their works.
20:13 And the "sea" gave up the "Dead" which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their WORKS.
20:14 And death and hell were cast into the "Lake of Fire". This is the second death.
20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the "Lake of Fire".

Anyone who falsely claims that we will not all face Judgment Day, the Day where most of Earth's inhabitants are cast into The Fire, aka the "Lake of Fire", the Lake of Fire burning with brimstone (sulfur), etc., either doesn't know what they're talking about or is intentionally lying to themselves and to others. And ALL who continue to arrogantly do such wicked things SHALL BURN, regardless of whether they believe it or not.

We have all been LOVINGLY, PATIENTLY and MERCIFULLY given 6000 years to come to our senses, and learn to obey God and His Christ ONLY. Those who are still in open rebellion against our Creator and His Messenger (The Word) on the Last Day will NOT survive.

Get rid of ALL of your religious superstitions and traditions, and learn The Way home or face The Fire.
