The Life Boat.

Someone asked, "Why would a good God send people to hell"?

Someone answered: God doesn't send people to hell. Actually we're already on our way to hell, so what God did is he gave us a way out.
It's like being on a ship that's sinking and someone says, "Hey, there's a life boat". You can choose to get on the life boat. But if you reject the life boat you automatically go down with the ship.

It's the same thing. Our sin was already taking us to hell, and God gave us Jesus and said "this is the life boat". But if you reject the life boat you are automatically going where you were already headed.

God didn't send you there!

Heaven is entered by choice. Hell is entered by choice.

We need no help from God to go to Hell. But we do need God's help to go to Heaven.
