About two years ago we had a guy claiming he was Michael the Archangel, the anti Christ - you can look him up in the old posts. His user name was King David. If you can go read through those old posts and threads then you will understand why this is a doctrine that does a lot of harmI thought youwere responding to what Yahda said.
I know Professor Walter Veith doesn't agree with everything with the SDA Church. Neither do I. A church made up of people is not perfect and can veer off the written word of God sometimes.
You don't have to agree that the Archangel is Jesus if you're not convicted yet. But He is our Saviour. He has different roles in the Bible. All I know only god can resurrect people. No angel can and ever will.
What has the Jews waiting for a Messiah got to do with what the Archangel message?
Ok no problemAgain I thought you were replying a post s/he made, I didn't know it was about Yahda.
Then clearly he was lying. The Archangel cannot be the Antichrist. All Christians well versed in reading the Bible know that.About two years ago we had a guy claiming he was Michael the Archangel, the anti Christ - you can look him up in the old posts. Matthew 16:27"The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first" (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
Yes but do you think this verse cancels out 1 Thessalonians 4:16? It harmonises with it and the rest of the Bible about Jesus' second coming.Matthew 16:27
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Hebrews 1:5, : "For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?Yes but do you think this verse cancels out 1 Thessalonians 4:16? It harmonises with it and the rest of the Bible about Jesus' second coming.
Here is a verse that harmonises with 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
"And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Matthew 24:31. Here Jesus has a trumpet that He sounds and the angels are sent to gather the elect, Just as He has sounds the trump to resurrect the dead in 1 Thessalonians 4.
What I'm saying harmonises with the whole Bible. The Archangel is Christ Himself.
I agree with the above verse because its true and harmonises with the rest of the Bible and what I've posted. And I've read the whole Chapter too.Hebrews 1:5, : "For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?
Its called a theophany but you insist in downgrading God to an angelRevelation 12 7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Michael must be some sort of commander of angels.
Like this one...
Joshua 5 13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?”
14 So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.”
And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?”
15 Then the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.
Who among God's good angels accept worship ? And who else said those words... take your sandal off your foot for the place where you stand is holy ?
Who is this being ? Who is this commander of God's angels ? Who is this Michael ?
There is only one correct answer.... and if you don't know it... just be still.
Michael is the commander of God's angels who accepts worship. Its called a theophany but you insist in downgrading God to an angel
It is said in Daniel 10:13 that Michael is the first of the chief princes. And in Daniel 10:21 Gabriel said nobody helps him except Michael the prince of who ? The prince of Daniel and Israel !It says Michael is the first of the chief princes of God:
Daniel 10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, the first of the chief princes [of God], came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
This is the entirety of what scripture says of Michael.. No commander or worship mentioned..Michael is the commander of God's angels who accepts worship.
Who among God's angels accept worship ? Nobody !
Therefore Michael is God !
One really doesn't need that much understanding to come to this correct conclusion.
You have in the Script found the dots about Michael... but you have not connected those found dots. This is the entirety of what scripture says of Michael.. No commander or worship mentioned..
Daniel
13But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
Daniel
21but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth. (No one supports me against them except Michael, your prince.
Daniel
"At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people--everyone whose name is found written in the book--will be delivered.
Revelation
Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.
Jude
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
