I think it is clear that Gabriel is the chief "messanger angel" and Michael is the chief "military angel". Neither of these angels are eternal in the sense that the Son was with the Father in the beginning.

Michael is the only one who helps Gabriel. Are you thinking or feeling that God does not help His angels ?

Michael is the prince of Israel.

Michael and his angels as the Script says... that is the commander of God's angels whom Joshua worshipped.

Now, just add to it what He told you in John 20:17 and in Revelation 3:12 and get rid of the catholic nonsense and you will be much better off.

Jesus plainly said that the Father is greater than Him.

Fathers usually are you know. But the Father has put the Name of Jesus above all names and all created beings must bow to His Son their Maker.

Yes, but people still choose to believe the catholic dogma rather than just believing The Lord.

Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
2:10 That at the name of the Saviour every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;
2:11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Christ Jesus [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the Beginning of the world hath been hid in God, Who created all things by Christ the Saviour:

Therefore Michael is God !
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Does this sound like God to you..?

John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the Will of the Father which hath sent me.

There is only one Archangel spoken of in all of scripture. He commands the angels (Joshua 5:14, Revelation 12:7), stands for God's people (Daniel 12:1), and His voice raises the dead(1 Thessalonians 4:16, Jude 9). No angel has such power no matter how highly ranked or Satan would be able to do these things because God did not strip him of his powers. He was a highly ranked angel as the Bible tells us. Michael is Jesus Christ.

Is it explicit anywhere that the Archangel Michael receives worship from people, and that he accepts it?

Am I right in concluding that you interpret the “Angel of the Lord” in the OT as being Michael?

Jesus appeared to people in different roles as an angel. He appeared to Abraham, Jacob and Joshua, Gideon etc. He is the one who spoke to Moses at the burning bush. And He is Michael, Michael the Prince and Michael the Archangel.

Michael is 743. archaggelos (from 758 /árxōn, "of the first order, chief" and 32 /ággelos, "angel") – an archangel; an angel of the highest rank

The highest rank angel is still an angel...
Men assume Michael is an angel.

But Michael is the commander of God's angels in Revelation 12 and that commander is clearly God in Joshua 5.

Are you not aware that Jesus Christ have more than 12 legions of angels at His disposal ?

Scripture tells us that Prince Michael is an angel.

Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

So Michael didn’t dare to accuse Satan but instead appealed to a higher authority to rebuke him - I.e. The Lord.

Logic would dictate that Jesus cannot be both a being on a level and infinitely superior to Satan simultaneously.

Can you not read? I already posted about this very topic before. I'll post it one more time and if you want to read it in context here is the full explanation about the Archangel.

Did Michael Rebuke Satan?
"Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but saith, The Lord rebuke thee"
(Jude 9).

The text says that "he durst not bring against him a railing accusation."

Satan is the "accuser of our brethren." (Revelation 12:10) Because of his character, Christ does not deal in railing accusations. However He did rebuke Satan! The very next phrase says "but said, the Lord rebuke thee."

Apart from Jude's account, the only scriptural reference to the burial of Moses is Deut. 34:5, 6, where it is recorded that the Lord buried His faithful servant and that his grave was not known to men. Jude now reveals that the dead body was the subject of dispute between Christ and Satan. It is evident that the Lord triumphed in His contest with the devil and raised Moses from his grave, making him the first known subject of Christ's resurrecting power. (Matthew 17:3). Moses appeared with Elijah on the Mount of transfiguration.

What does "railing accusations" mean? Why would Jesus do what Satan did/does? If you disagree there is nothing more I can say. I know this is the truth.

Whatever Jesus does He does to save us. He is still God whether He is an angel or a human being.

Jude
1:8 Likewise also these [filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise Dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Matthew
3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
4:5 Then the devil taketh him up into the Holy City, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the Temple,
4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him ONLY shalt thou serve.
4:11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

James
1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted by God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man:
1:14 But every man IS tempted, WHEN he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed (seduced by Satan - into doing wrong).

Matthew 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air [have] nests; but the Son of Man hath not where to lay [his] head.

Numbers 23:19 God [is] not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do [it]? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

@phipps - There is a chasm between reading a response and finding it convincing.

Serious SDA Errors

  • The Mosaic Law is still to be followed, except for things such as animal sacrifices and new moons.
  • Can't eat unclean foods in the Old Testament.
  • Soul-sleep: People who die are not conscious again until the final Judgment
  • No Hell, but annihilation: All of the times Jesus spoke on Hell they believe people misunderstood.
  • The Little Horn is Jesus, not the Antichrist in Daniel 8
  • Water baptism is essential to salvation.
  • Jesus is Michael the archangel, but they say an archangel is not an angel.
  • Easter and Christmas are considered bad.
  • Racism in the teachings of Ellen G. White.

So you're not going to respond with what the Bible says? I don't base my beliefs on what SDA's believe. I studied my Bible and have done for years. They so happen to be the religion that preaches the truth of the Bible. If you think they are wrong prove it! Challenge me on all those things you've posted and show me where they are wrong biblically or else don't waste my time!

Like Daciple you've gone to a site right now that is against SDA's and posted lies about them too. You do not know anything about SDA's to just believe what you've posted without first checking them out. This is very lazy.
