Apparently not.

Even when I was a child I felt like I was faking any worship I was obliged to join.
As soon as I was old enough to refuse to join in, I refused.

I would rather admit that I believe nothing, than pretend to believe something.
It was once said that God has no grandchildren. I think that was pretty wise. We each need to make spiritual choices for ourselves in the end. Parents sometimes don’t help, especially if they try to guilt trip you into church and youth groups etc. I know because I grew up in a Christian home and pushed against it (and even more, certain people I didn’t like at church) with both feet at 18. How God dealt with me is another story...

You may have been at a dead church, Salvation is a personal relationship with Christ. But He will always be there if you ever get to the point where you have no one. If you would, Read Isaiah chapter 53, That will describe Christ.

Now having a personal relationship is unbiblical and a false doctrine? what the heck. Ive never heard such ridiculousness in all my life. You keep holding to your RELIGION then.

"personal relationship" is newage nonsense you've swallowed up, nowhere in the Bible does it say that Jesus is your personal friend that you can talk to and who talks to you. More paganism.

u wouldnt get it.

why does Jesus to say not to pray as the heathens do? and to pray from ur heart. Ur concept of God is just weird. God is a personal being, who desires to have a relationship with you...not a distant one that wants u to chant vain repetition but keep on with that.

Your beliefs are incoherent. Whatever you believe in though, it doesn't even seem to be a form of Theism, it's something else.

It was a very active church.
My family was very active within it.

Bit too active in my opinion.

Yes, thanks. I will read that.

Yeah preach it!
You're just assuming things, I don't believe that God changes. You want to defend your idolatry with the idea that God could cease to be God. Defending the blasphemy of the incarnation with the idea of God 'humbling himself' is unconvincing to anyone. You limit God and believe that God can't forgive without sacrifice, you limit God by believing that God incarnates into the body of a man. You practice paganism by believing you can have a relationship with that man (who lived 2000 years ago).

God is the most loving being in the universe and you think he doesnt want his creation to talk to him, or does he talk to us?
God's creation of the universe was an expression of transcendent love. God sends Prophets and Messengers as a further expression on this, God has been consistent since the beginning of time to what salvation is, you've perverted it and turned it into idolatry.

Prayer and the heart are both central in Islam.

You quoting that site and those verses are entirely irrelevant to your belief in a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS. Which is entirely unbiblical. You've dodged the topic, again

I have been accused of not giving a good testimony myself...about how I drive people away from accepting Jesus because I’m too confrontational...citing different verses telling me I’m wrong...while they try the nice guy approach to reaching the lost and think that’s the better approach. No wonder then that I think this video interesting. Personally, I think the nice guy approach is too neat and if your trying to please man, you really aren’t pleasing God. If the people you are trying to reach are comfortable with you...perhaps you are doing something wrong?
Yes you're not a good salesperson for the Jesus cause when your ignorant not only of the religions you are trying to sell your snakeoil to but you're also ignorant about your own. Not only that but most of the stuff you post sounds like the ramblings of a very antireligious person.

Prayer is like weight-lifting, spirituality is something that takes discipline and practice. You cannot drive a Boeing 747 without first training and education. Prayer is not simply saying a few things you feel to yourself, it's a discipline. This will likely be a very new and alien idea to you. Protestantism has no idea of any of this.

If you think Prayer is about just saying a few things on your mind, then you miss the point entirely.
