Indian film-maker sparks fury with suggestion that 'r*pe without violence' should be legalised and women should carry condoms and 'co-operate' with sex attackers
  • Daniel Shravan, in now deleted post online, said that 'r*pe is not a serious thing'
  • He added that: 'If you are about to get raped, hand over a condom to the rapist'
The film-maker, in a series of now-deleted posts, said that 'r*pe is not a serious thing, but murder is inexcusable' adding that 'the government should legalise r*pe without violence for the safety of women.'

This comes AFTER body of vet Priyanka Reddy, 27, found after she was raped in India

I'm not even sure that attempting the re-educating of the population and trying to change a whole nations outlook on r*pe is going to happen either.
I was going to post something related to this. A friend of mine gave me a insight about India's situation. While the caste system isn't officially applied anymore this is still deep integrated in india's culture, plus some parts of india follow a dharmic religion so if people are born poor they stay poor and without help. I really would like the opinion from someone that actually is from India to confirm this.

Of course, this is not the proper way to deal with this crime, or any other heinous and murderous crime.

I was alarmed at the three present comments on the article too.
The article says the dudes tried to escape at the scene.... if this account is accurate, wouldn't that be the dudes own faults?

Not disagreeing with your point, but the fact they weren't even handcuffed when taken back to the scene of the crime, raises the possibility that it was planned by the policeman that shot them?

The porn industry is just more controlled social conditioning. The fact that it is not regulated on the internet and widely available to anyone regardless of age, proves it serves a purpose. That purpose is to normalize debauchery, sodomy, incest, infidelity, p***philia and bestiality. It's also there to make men weak physically, mentally and spiritually. The ultimate goal is to destroy the family, destroy our God given unique male/female identity and blur the lines of sexual age appropriateness.
I agree. I am an alcoholic and porn addict. its completely ruined my life and mt state of mind.,

Can we distinguish between normal porn and abnormal porn? If you make no distinctions and treat all porn as equally spiritually disfiguring, generations of people will tune you out. If you want a campaign against the bad porn to work, you're probably going to have to acknowledge that some porn isn't that bad. Asking people to reject all porn will fail, will only give more life to the worst porn and people's worst impulses.

Does all porn necessarily put the viewer in the POV of a cuckold watching other people have sex? Well, maybe, but not POV porn. Are all women in porn exploited? Many, sure, but not all -- believe it or not, some women really are exhibitionists who love sex. Does the most popular porn normalize aggression? What are we defining as aggression? Hair pulling, a little spanking, some naughty words? If you can't distinguish between that stuff, which is fairly normal, and sadomasochistic torture porn, then you have no chance at convincing the public that some porn is dangerous.
There aint no such thing as "normal" porn. It aint normal off the jump, and once you have seen some perversion, odds are the person will search out more extreme stimulus to feed the increasing desire for more extreme (and harmful) materials.

Filming people having sex and putting it on the internet for the world to see is already pretty abnormal imo.

Our biggest hang up with porn is how widely available it has become for people of any age. A decade ago it wasn't the case.
That's why it's not just harmless entertainement, there are tons of studies about the damages the "normal" porn you're talking about does to an individual.
If it can mess up an adult this bad, imagine what it does to kids who grow up watching it?

Eh. We evolved in small groups in the wilderness with little shelter and almost certainly fuc...had sex in front of each other quite a lot. In a vacuum, it's normal to be interested in seeing other people have sex, just out of curiosity alone -- as long as you're not a peeping tom. Casual voyeurism? Normal. Exhibitionism is less normal, but there are enough of them in a world of 7 billion people, just a minuscule fraction would suffice to create all the porn ever desired.
We've evolved enough as a species to know it's indecent and uncivilized to do certain things in front of others.

Anyway, I should have said relatively normal. Compared with some of the paraphilias out there, there is most definitely such a thing. A couple just simply screwing is way, way, way more normal than gangbangs, scat, bondage, r*pe, incest, etc.
Just sounds like you're trying to rationalize your porn consumption to feel better abt yourself.

I dont believe we evolved as you present here. Our human nature is still animal in some respects, and even animals dont generally just hump in the open. People are in a vulnerable state when doing so, and self-preservation instincts lead to a search for privacy when copulating. I also dont think its "normal" to desire watching others have sex. True, there are some tendencies that may be hardwired into us for whatever reason.... but Im concerned w/my own sexuality and sexual satisfaction, not others. Wish everyone a happy, healthy sex life, but other than that it really aint none of my biz.

All those freakshow fetishes you listed are the new norm for porn, not bow-chicka-wow-wow-groovy-harry-hippie 70s porn. That world of porn is dead and gone, and I feel its important to note that those (by comparison of modern materials) seemingly harmless in hindsight productions are what paved the way for where we are now. Its a degenerate form of prostitution/pimping and social engineering. Point blank.

They paved the way, but was the traffic that followed inevitable? No. That's like saying Elvis paved the way for Billie Eilish. Yes, in a sense, the 50's squares who thought rock and roll would unleash the devil were ultimately right, it just took a while. You can, if you want, draw a straight line from Elvis's pelvis to Eilish's demonically-possessed eyes. But it wasn't inevitable. The moral extremes of rock could've plateaued at Naughty. How? Precisely if people hadn't resisted the naughty but had drawn an unbreakable line at, say, overt devil worship. To say that one inevitably leads to the other is to concede the whole game to Satan.
Elvis wasnt performing in the nude my man..........

After a small search I agree that humans have never copulated in public. Among Native American tribes, when a couple wanted privacy they would go off far in the woods. Cool, huh? Voyeurism is not normal or healthy in any way. I'm willing to guess that every spiritual teacher who's ever lived would be against watching other people have sex.

@RainDownPlane makes a good point,- how do we begin a conversation as a society about the prevalence of pornography, that it could at least be dialed back? The industry is so far out of control, it has to be reigned in. If it exists then let there be some type of oversight. The groups speaking at colleges and educating the public is a great start. I hope more people will start questioning the individuals who make or finance porn. They will be called out as people become more informed. E.M. Jones has a few strong opinions but he brings up some important parts of the history :

"Over the course of the 1980s, Americans witnessed the simultaneous de-criminalization of usury and pornography. Usury and pornography go hand in hand. The ultimate result of the moral deregulation which took place beginning in the 1970s was massive student loan debt and massive addiction to pornography, which the Cato Institute justified to distract newly enslaved college graduates from the fact that they will never pay off their debts.

In 1986, the Meese Commission made significant inroads in trying to stop pornography, but government could not keep up with the combination of technological innovation and libertarian ideology which used free speech to justify pornography. In 1989, Reuben Sturman ended up going to jail after setting up a series of pornographic film houses, but the film loop he pioneered became obsolete with the invention of the VCR, and VHS tapes became obsolete with the opening up of the Internet. At that point Hollywood produced two pro-porn propaganda films—Boogie Nights and The People vs. Larry Flynt—and the government under the direction of Bill Clinton, a man who had difficulty controlling his passions, passed the misnamed Communications Decency Act, which effectively ended government efforts to prosecute obscenity.

Contrary to the freedom which Larry Flynt and the libertarians promised, the result of the de facto decriminalization of pornography was, as St. Augustine could have predicted, an exponential increase in addiction, which is the modern term for slavery to sin. Predictably, the media outlets under oligarchic control said that addiction to pornography was a myth. Reporting on “Fascinating, rigorous new research,” Psychology Today announced that there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that “sex addiction is real.” That claim flies in the face of the fact that a Google search of the terms “porn” and “addiction” yields 67,000,000 results."

I made a thread abt the rise of stds and the difference between america and the uk is staggering. Sex education and cultural differences play a major role in that. Another poster from the uk expanded on it.
You americans preach abstinence only, yet yall have the highest rates of teen pregnancy amgst christian communities and your std rates are skyrocketting. Clutch your pearls at nudity, yet have the largest porn industry in the world. So there is smthg to be said there.
That's why I mentionned sex education earlier on this thread, not to say kids are stupid but if you teach them early on to associate sexuality with sin, they're not gonna grow up to have a healthy relationship with their bodies or explore their sexuality in a healthy way.

Also misogyny is a huge element in porn. The goal of patriarchy is to repress women, porn is about male domination.

Ironically in the places where they are the most adamant in the suppression of sexuality is where it comes out in its most debased, most deviant forms.

Also misogyny is a huge element in porn. In porn you see the woman's body being ravaged and brutalized. When the human body, especially the female body is wrapped in shame and is considered profane in nature. The goal of patriarchy is to repress women, porn is about male domination.

Ironically in the places where they are the most adamant in the suppression of sexuality is where it comes out in its most debased, deviant forms.
Although I agree with much of what you are saying I'm going to have a hard time taking you seriously about the treatment of women until you change your avatar picture...LOL!
