It's so interesting to see the first few posts of this thread from 2018 and what this has become now, not meant as a snarky comment. Many people do mean well and show interesting insights. Some are just fans and just sharing any old update or announcement related to BTS..

I think I may look around skim through the comments, through the pages, first 4, page 500, page 800, page 2000 etc. just too see how this thread has evolved.

Coldplay divides K-Pop fans after ditching BTS for TWICE...
Coldplay announced TWICE as special guest in Seoul concert during Music of the Spheres World Tour...

Note: All Coldplay concert dates (2024-2025) are sold out...except for Seoul, South Korea... for a 6-day concert schedule... looks like not a lot are buying tickets...

I agree. I wonder if Maggie.ca. Who originated this, ever pops in. I would love their take on what they were thinking when they started it.

It seems that this BTS thread was "inspired" by the creation on the KPop Illuminati thread...with particular focus on the Jonghyun suicide in December, 2017...and its possible links to the theories of "Illuminati" sacrifice...and symbology associated with BTS and some of their songs...

Here's Maggieca's first post in the KPop Illuminati Thread...

thank you for making this thread. I found a lot of interesting comments on that Jonghyun article
Like this one:

"The truth is that Jonghyun was the Illuminati sacrifice to signal the handover of the globalists’ support of KPOP from SM to BigHit. BTS released an album called LOVE YOURSELF, which is clearly about suicide. BTS’s V released a tweet about his new dog, named COAL BRIQUETTE. 4 hours later, Jonghyun committed suicide by means of COAL BRIQUETTE carbon monoxide poisoning. BTS goes to Jonghyun’s funeral, completing the ceremony"

What do you guys think??? I admit when I saw the reason from his suicide the first thing I remembered was V's tweet from the same day.
It could be a coincidence but it was still weird
***********************************************
Note: V's dog is called Yeontan...the Korean translation of coal briquette...

Who knows. Maybe certain higher ups just wanted to see what bts theories fans come up with in a certain guided way so they incited situations to create it. It seems they put quite an effort to maintain it. They seem to have lots of fun and giggle seeing fans to get mentally screwed in this giant web of regulated craziness.

Always think that Bang send them to Jonghyun funeral like a threat ,if you guys didn't follow the rules you would ended up like him..
There were many kpop artists there, which was very odd. They made a huge show of it and personally to have his actual family alongside coworkers and fans, there was definitely a ritualic aspect to it. It was also all filmed. Meanwhile some artists pass and nothing is even said about it from people they worked with. They were all told to go there and look as sad as possible. Who knows what really happened. Before his passing he looked very different and had gotten a lot of plastic surgery. He acted very sad as well. I was surprised others were surprised he did it because he seemed like the typical hollywood star going down a spiral and dealing with mental issues. Kpop is different though they don't see artists as people at all. They don't even imagine they could be dealing with trauma. Kpop fans are mentally and emotionally immature and therefore its so easy for the controllers to manipulate. Sadly even if it was spoonfed that something sinister was going on many will just continue to watch cute videos of fanservice.

They can't ditch BT5, since most of BT5 are in the military.

Also, Coldplay can collaborate with whoever they want. This sounds like that schoolyard nonsense when somebody refuses to let their friend have other friends.

Well, they're referring to BTS Jin and JHope who are now "available...." especially Jin who previously collaborated with them 2 years ago...

Their "mindset" appears parochial and tribalistic...lol! I guess Coldplay will have to adjust their western orientation to understand this kind of "culture..." :)

His voice deteriorated too between 2016-17. Some vocal coaches who used to make vocal analysis of Kpop idols at that time said he was smoking heavily which affected his voice and he wasn't able to hit high notes like earlier. Yes you are right his face changed a lot after 2015. His cheeks became hollow and he started to have huge eye bags under his eyes. He was clearly going through something but he was still doing concerts until early December and was supposed to release an album in January 2018 which was then released posthumously. It's weird how publicised his funeral was because there are still videos of his funeral uploaded online. Whole if you search about Sulli, or Goo Hara's funeral online you won't find anything except few short clips of idols on that day. Not only the funeral they sold DVDs of SHINee's first concert after Jonghyun's death in which all the members were crying and remembering Jonghyun. SHINee were really back to promoting as a group 2 months after his death and they held concerts and released 4 mini albums in 2018 which was weird because why were they publicising the tragedy so much?

Maybe it’s just me, but the “I am so handsome” shtick feels so overplayed at this point. Originally it was a joke (to him). Now it comes off as arrogant and entitled. Its like he drank his own kool-aid.
Yep...it's overplayed to the point of boredom...lol! It's getting corny as the days pass by...Also notice the paradox in his shoots where he's supposed to promote "happiness" but he barely smiles in his photos & videos...

All things aside, Jin certainly knows how to package and promote himself...and please his own fans...

Hmm...so BTS activities might be "delayed" 'til 2026...or perhaps no group comeback after all.. lol!

I'm willing to bet there won't be a comeback at all. Now that other groups are making money for Hive, the company doesn't have to rely on BT5 so considering YG's controversy, the fact that the group brings in enough money with solo projects, they'll likely push the group into the background.

That's basically what happened to 2NE1.
