A major tendency has been to limit the discussion about annexation and its potential repercussions to the West Bank, excluding other Palestinian communities in the diaspora or in the Gaza Strip.

In recent maps published by the Israeli government, the post-annexation landscape includes Israel proper, the West Bank and the Golan Heights, but not Gaza.

A new task force of former national security officials and business leaders released a proposal on Thursday to facilitate the rehabilitation of Gaza, eschewing some of the most common proposals for a post-war Gaza. Its centerpiece is a proposal for a new Arab-backed international trust that would lead the effort to rebuild Gaza.

The report concludes that most of the proposals floated for post-war Gaza — including prompt movement toward a two-state solution, near-term Palestinian Authority control, a United Nations mission, an on-the-ground Arab state mission or long-term Israeli control — are likely infeasible in the short term or practically or politically untenable. It argues instead for a new private entity supported by several Arab states to be established to both oversee and facilitate humanitarian aid and assist with efforts to establish new Palestinian governance in Gaza.

The Gaza Futures Task Force, which issued the report, is operating through the Jewish Institute for the National Security of America and the Vandenberg Coalition, and includes John Hannah, Elliot Abrams, Eric Edelman, Gary Ginsberg, Emily Harding, Lewis “Scooter” Libby and Steven Price.

To ensure security for the trust’s operations, the plan proposes recruiting troops from non-Arab states friendly with Israel, as well as vetted Palestinians like those who served in pre-Hamas Fatah police units. Failing that, the plan suggests bringing in private military contractors who have worked with western authorities in the past.

Hannah acknowledged that this proposal is likely to face particular skepticism, given the checkered history of some security contractors, which some argue damaged the U.S.’s reputation and efforts in the Middle East.

“We recognize that there are some associations, in particular, because of some of the experiences during the War on Terror with one or two companies,” he said. “But we’re pretty confident, having done significant interviews with people in the U.S. military who were deeply engaged after some of those incidents in developing a very comprehensive framework of licensing and monitoring and accountability for these kinds of private security firms that they can play very useful and effective roles.”

There were twin infants that also died, after their parents waited years to conceive and eventually went down the IVF route. Imagine finding out you can’t have children, waiting years for treatment, realise you’re having twins only for them to both die in infancy in the midst of this genocide. I don’t remember if they died due to malnutrition, I’ll try dig up the article. Actually it wasn’t even an article, I think it was a Twitter post.

The level of trauma in that region is staggering. They’re born into trauma, raised in trauma and die in trauma. Yet months on, despite the increment in aggression from Israel, nothing has yet to be done. Even if it does end or there is a ceasefire agreed before Ramadan (which is next week), the devastation is so great that the road to recovery looks bleak for Gaza.

Definitely. The zionist entity has always feared the outbreak of peace which is why they have always needed a new hitler and threat of a new holocaust. So Oct 7th was perfect for them.

I don't think it is for the gas fields though. The gas fields were discovered before they removed the squatters back in 2005. Just before the squatters were removed certain of the more fascist/insane element started shouting about how the San Remo agreement gave "Jews sovereignty and the right right to settle anywhere in mandate Palestine including Gaza". Why the need to mention Gaza as if it were a separate entity i don't know other than the borders weren't yet fixed. And now the fascist/insane element are in power....

Here's the text of the document in which the crazies claim granted Jews sovereignty over mandate Palestine.

(a) To accept the terms of the Mandates Article as given below with reference to Palestine, on the understanding that there was inserted in the proces-verbal an undertaking by the Mandatory Power that this would not involve the surrender of the rights hitherto enjoyed by the non-Jewish communities in Palestine; this undertaking not to refer to the question of the religious protectorate of France, which had been settled earlier in the previous afternoon by the undertaking given by the French Government that they recognized this protectorate as being at an end.


(b) that the terms of the Mandates Article should be as follows:


The High Contracting Parties agree that Syria and Mesopotamia shall, in accordance with the fourth paragraph of Article 22, Part I (Covenant of the League of Nations), be provisionally recognized as independent States, subject to the rendering of administrative advice and assistance by a mandatory until such time as they are able to stand alone. The boundaries of the said States will be determined, and the selection of the Mandatories made, by the Principal Allied Powers.


The High Contracting Parties agree to entrust, by application of the provisions of Article 22, the administration of Palestine, within such boundaries as may be determined by the Principal Allied Powers, to a Mandatory, to be selected by the said Powers. The Mandatory will be responsible for putting into effect the declaration originally made on November 8, 1917, by the British Government, and adopted by the other Allied Powers, in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.

The terms of the mandates in respect of the above territories will be formulated by the Principal Allied Powers and submitted to the Council of the League of Nations for approval.

Turkey hereby undertakes, in accordance with the provisions of Article [132 of the Treaty of Sevres] to accept any decisions which may be taken in this connection.

Actually, I agree the gas fields are a large part of this due to this being a WWW3 scenario...the UN World Order vs the BRICS. You have to go back, I believe, to Feb. '23 when PM Netanyahu made his argument for Greater Israel to the UN, which his ideas for the gas fields and routing the pipelines to advantage of the Western nations.

Its like Haiti without the earthquake, this is a man-made disaster: "Hey, it looks all bad but people are rallying, donating and demanding that their governments kick in as well... looks like its time for us responsible parties to step in the middle of those resources, commandeer them and enrich ourselves because charity starts at home eh?"
