I'm sure most have seen it but I thought this writing at the PC was great:

Secret of Shejaiya – The ‘Brave’ Gaza Neighborhood that Israel Cannot Break

...Shejaiya is one of Gaza City’s largest neighborhoods. It is located immediately to the east of the city and is divided into two areas, the southern area, known as Turkman, and the northern area, known as Jdeidah – the latter built during the Ayyubaid era – founded in the 12th century.

...Shejaiya’s military significance has been apparent for hundreds of years, partly because of Tell Al-Muntar, a strategic hill which lies in Shejaiya and is considered the gate to Gaza. Those who control Al-Muntar Hill have visual and strategic access to the entirety of Gaza City.

This is precisely why Napoleon Bonaparte fought to control Al-Muntar, and ultimately camped along with his invading army in the vicinity of the hill.

There, too, thousands of Allied soldiers, many years later, died near that very hill, which explains the World War I Graveyard in Gaza, one of many historical sites that tell of a much bigger story than Israel’s war and Tel Aviv’s declared objective of wanting to ‘eliminate Hamas’.

...Shejaiya’s story is one that is rooted in history, connecting the peoples of that whole region – Arabs, Kurds, Turkmans, Muslims, Christians, and Jews – thus accentuating the significance of history in how Palestinians, collectively, perceive themselves and their valiant Resistance.

When Israelis claim that the only ‘solution’ to Gaza is displacing the Palestinians, they do not seem to have much knowledge of that history. If they knew that those young fighters of Shejaiya are the descendants of the great armies that have defeated the Crusaders, fought the French and the British, they might have paused for a longer time before thinking that Shejaiya will fall in a day, a week, or thousand years.

Hindu good luck charm or Kabbalah bracelet?

Rishi

Kabbalah Bracelet

It is common here at subcontinent side, even in Pakistan. We have Hindu minority here. Some Muslims also wear it without understanding, but just because it was a custom once. I believe all kinds of good luck charms is rooted in belief ie animism, vary from culture to culture. If you see Iran/turkey side, they wear those one eye symbol to save themselves from evil eye, this symbol is especially popular in jewellery designs . Its all due to polytheistic culture which was once dominant in that area.

Reports from Al Jazeera,

Israeli bulldozers crush sick, wounded Palestinians outside Gaza hospital

"Anas al-Sharif, our colleague at Al Jazeera Arabic, is reporting from the ground in Gaza that Israeli bulldozers have trampled over the tents used by Palestinians taking shelter outside Kamal Adwan Hospital and brutally crushed them.
“A terrifying massacre and unspeakable scenes. What the Israeli occupation did inside Kamal Adwan Hospital is a horrific crime against citizens and medical staff,” al-Sharif said in a post on X.
“Dozens of displaced, sick and wounded people were buried alive. The occupation [Israeli] bulldozers trampled the tents of the displaced people in the hospital yard and brutally crushed them.”

I'll update if and when a fuller report emerges

Israeli forces shot and killed 3 Israeli hostages today in Gaza. Despite being unarmed and non-violent, the IOF assumed they were Palestinian and killed them accordingly. The IOF expressed regret and sadness - something they haven’t done when the civilians they murdered were Palestinian.

• The chief of the Mossad (Israel’s equivalent of the CIA) will meet Qatar’s Prime Minister this weekend to discuss resumption of a new hostage exchange deal. This is the first such effort since the the 7-day truce ended earlier this month.

• Official ministry death toll in Gaza reaches 18,800

• Israel killed 3 civil defense workers while trying to rescue civilians trapped at the Farhana school, Khan Younis

• Palestinian journalist Ramy Budair was reporting from the frontlines in Khan Younis when he was targeted and killed today. This makes him the second journalist Israel kills in a single day, after cameraman Samer Abudaqa.

Seriously horrifying, I've just seen the footage shared by Anas Jamal. Animals are feeding off the dead body parts. I don't understand, why UN is not intervening after that emergency meeting? How many more horrific crimes are going to be committed? Shame on Arab world for being silent.

I suspect we might see a ceasefire agreement over the period of Christmas day. Can't have us westerners eating Turkey and cracking crackers while the news shows dead children.

As horrific as it is can you post it?
It's on Instagram.
Anas is the only journalist who is covering at North, that's why many reports don't come forward. He was covering it despite being threatened by Israhelli army, they targeted his dad last week. He is describing the scene here, that the bulldozer ran over wounded people and now the smell is unbearable. He is Arabic speaker, that why he has less following.

I really haven't got the heart to read through the content of this thread anymore. The horror of what is going on is just too much for me to take in. I have to try and protect my mental health and I feel reading through all the content posted here will have an overall detrimental effect.

I applaud the posters who are still trying to expose the crimes of Israel as it's something I'm unable to do myself.
I think we can all relate. I'm here on this thread for the long run. No matter how badly i feel i just keep reminding myself that what i feel is nothing compared to what the heroic people of Gaza are feeling. No bombs dropping on me, no dead children to pick up piece by piece. I have clothes, food, water, a roof over my head. I should be offering them courage but instead i find that it is them who offer me courage.

I posted this the other day by Caitlin Johnstone i'll link you to it in case you missed it I Will Not Look Away.

You take care of yourself.

@delusion.everywhere @Haich If you guys are struggling don't be afraid to take time away.. You have already done yourselves proud.

And see Wael.el.doudh is back at duty despite being shot yesterday, these are the chosen people. The world is witnessing it, who are the people of extreme endurance, nobody has seen something like this. Here when everyone whines with their victim mentality, I feel disgust. They don't even have time to mourn.
Their courage and humanity shines through the darkness

Tbh,we are privileged to not going through something like that. They did not choose this for themselves. All we can do is to tell their story, the sheer injustice.. Atleast we can feel, I feel pity for those who just don't understand, what is going on. On top of that supporting it and thinking we are going to heaven, is amusing to me in a dark way, it would be fun when they'll land ...well with whom their allegiance is.
