Government Media Office in Gaza:
—
The "israeli" occupation army deliberately targeted Al-Jazeera channel crew for the fourth consecutive time, committing a crime that is fully constituted and violates international law.
The targeting and injury of colleague Wael Al-Dahdouh, Al-Jazeera correspondent, and colleague Samer Abu Daqqah, Al-Jazeera channel's cameraman, are part of an intimidation and scare tactic against journalists and a failed attempt to obscure the truth and prevent them from exposing the occupation's crimes against children, women, and civilians.
During the war on Gaza since October 7, the occupation army has killed 89 journalists, arrested 8 journalists, and injured many others, indicating that journalists and media personnel are in the crosshairs of deliberate killing and targeting.
We demand all journalistic unions, media, legal, and human rights bodies to condemn this crime and denounce its repetition by the occupation. We also call on them to restrain the criminal occupation and pressure it to stop this criminal war against journalists, civilians, children, and women.
