actually the situation between Joseph and Mary is very different than the situation between Mohammad and the nine year old (I forget her name.)No, you don't know as i gave no examples of "bad Christians". If you want to give examples of bad Muslims then do so. We both know there are more then a few out there.
The rock and glass house parable.. "don't throw rocks when you live in a glass house".. is alot like you attacking Islams prophet for having a young bride while your own Mary and Joseph is the exact same example.
In fact its a perfect example so its ironic how you try to reverse it.
As a Muslim i ask from none but God. None to intercede here. Its a direct connection. Why would i ask anything from Mary? What do you think the first commandment, "No gods but Me" means?
Is Mary alive? Can she hear and respond to you? How can the dead benefit you?
"Mother of god" is incredibly blasphemous.
namely
1. Jews waited until the girl had her period (which they believed meant she was a woman) and Mohammad consummated the marriage when the child was nine (meaning it’s very unlikely she had her period
2. Joseph and Mary never consummated the marriage, she was a Virgin through her whole life.
this is what I explained to your brethren.
the first commandment rightfully means worship no other Gods than the one true God YHWH, which is exactly what Catholics do.
once again we don’t worship Mary, we venerate her.
no one, Muslims or otherwise can get to the Father except through the Son, that’s it.
we ask Intercession from Mary because she is the Mother of Christ and she is our adopted mother. She leads all Catholics to Christ. We ask intercession from her because as a father once put it “Christ won’t turn down any request that comes from his Holy Mother”.
humans aren’t worthy to ask anything from God/Christ and so we humbly ask his mother to intercede for us.
yes Mary is Alive, she was assumed into heaven and has appeared many times on earth and spoken to Catholics. The events of Fatima for example.
Mary is the mother of Christ, so that makes her the Mother of God.
