Let me enjoy my on grid lifestyle whilst I can

Do you know about the cow shit, grass, milk, cow shit cycle???Like I said, if people want to eat food grown in krap, good luck to them, but my survival group will be slinging it into the river (nature's sewage disposal system) to be carried away by the current.
In a post-apoc world where 99% of humans have been wiped out by a plague or whatever, we remaining survivors will be too few in number to contaminate or pollute anything.
My 'Doomsday Hall' group will have one survival rule only to stay alive, namely- "No rules in a knife fight"..
Naw naw.
1- I'm not a gardener but i've seen how people do it on TV, they plant their seeds, water them, then eat the produce..
there is no doubt in my mind that the farmers and homesteaders will open the doors for you, with all of your online experience farming and online survival skills. youll be able to grow so much online food! it will be of utmost importance for them to have a guy such as yourself who knows how to cut and paste pictures on forums. maybe you can cut and paste a some seeds and then post a vegetable.2- Homesteading in peacetime is fine, but it can quickly turn into a survival matter for us poor slobs in the cities when the taps run dry and the grocers shelves run empty tomorrow, welcome to the Apocalypse where the last people standing will be the farmers and homesteaders..
Do you know about the cow shit, grass, milk, cow shit cycle???we all eat shit, all the time.
Psst, they prefer Inuit or Inuk these days. "Eskimo" is a racist term that other tribes (mine included) used for them...it just means "raw meat eater".eskimos make due with eating raw seal fat. if they just moved south just a little bit, they could have some evergreen trees near the taiga region and have pine needle tea for vitamin C.
The nutrients stored in the seed run out eventually, and need to be substituted for what the roots pull in...As far as I know, I don't eat veg grown in human excrement..
Call me fussy, but even if it was proven to be 100% safe, I still wouldn't do it, yuk, and it hasn't been proven to be safe by a long chalk.
This from the net-
'Human faeces can, and is, being used as fertilizer. This has to be sewage that’s been treated to keep disease risks to an absolute minimum
Human faeces is a very rich source of nutrients but there are worries about contaminants that are present in human sewage including those from pharmaceuticals and a variety of heavy metals. Anything to do with human faeces must be managed with extreme caution.'
Anyway, do plants really NEED any kind of fertiliser?
Look, I once plonked this grass seed on a piece of damp tissue, kept it moist, and within a week it'd sprouted quite happily without any added nutrients. And in the bottom pic notice how its cleverly sent out thin root filaments across the tissue to soak up the water, bless its little cotton socks..

"Eskimo"...means "raw meat eater".
You'll need a lot of land if you plan to eat only wild plants...Thanks, but I can't help remembering that plant life managed quite well for millions of years without humans to fertilise or tend or manage it in any way..

Naw, the "planet" isn't millions of years old. Thanks, but I can't help remembering that plant life managed quite well for millions of years without humans to fertilise or tend or manage it in any way..

Well, I actually believe, so I don't need a bunch of atheist sodomites to explain away everything. God created EVERYTHING.Good thinking mate, otherwise all that molten stuff and volcanoes and hot springs would have cooled down by now..
Thats fine.As far as I know, I don't eat veg grown in human excrement..

You can let crap rot for fertiliser or not.
But please don't throw it in the river.
Burying it is far better.
