Healthy people wearing masks and social distancing haven't done jack shit to save the vulnerable populations.

All we have done is forced sick people to die alone. Robbed children of birthday parties and education. And alienated everyone from ourselves. The politicians who put these orders in place should get their asses kicked to the curb. They have mishandled the whole thing since the word go.

Like oh, let's make half the country "essential". Because that's probably going to work. Let's have half of us self quarantine, while the other half puts up cell phone towers, and busts kids for smoking pot. Genius!

I like the mask mandate. People are fucking stupid and don't cover their mouths when coughing and sneezing. It's not even a Covid concern, it's just disgusting that they're coughing and sneezing all over the place.

I am not sure what’s up with the numbers today and yesterday but they are significantly lower then what the mayor of ny announced in his press conference... and he only gives confirmed. I’ve never noticed this problem before. It’s always either exactly what he says or ends up higher by the end of the day due to presumed..

What is everyone's thoughts on the new virus infecting children? They do not know what it is quite yet but are relating it to Kawasaki Disease and of course saying it's because of Corona. It's possible it is a new mutation, but it seems like a scare tactic to me because Covid 19 has been around since November and primarily affected the elderly, they are just now reporting this?

My thought: People are becoming less scared to go out, so to really scare them into isolation we'll use their children's health as a tactic. We want the best for our children and typically would do anything to keep them safe, so it is a good psychological tactic to fear monger people into submission.

I can only guess at to what this means but maybe all poison in cigarettes prevents the virus from taking hold.

Sure...only smoking makes you vulnerable to other things like cancer...but not to covid...sure.

Stranger things have happened, and there isn’t enough data to make a determination either way, or to say that smoking is the reason for what seems like lower hospitalization rates. Again it does seem that if there is a severe infection that smoking makes it worse.

I don’t know what’s so unbelievable about it, I mean you believe Noah’s Ark was a literal event.

Maybe more black people should smoke then? That might be able to limit their getting it. I just don’t believe that a virus would skip the smoking person...just like I don’t believe that its more likely to get the black man.

I knew a lady that went as a missionary to Africa where the Africans tell stories about the flood.

This is of personal interest to me. Now it does seem to indicate you have less chance of hospitalization if you smoke, but that if you are hospitalized with it, smoking makes it worse.

Keep smoking but refuse to go to hospital.
Best of all possible worlds.
