Maybe I just hit the stores at the right time. There was plenty of bread as well but what we are seeing now are meat shortages. Smithfield meats are at a halt and there are other packing comoanies seeing issues. Hamburger is no longer cheap. I have some local farmers nearby who always have eggs but they jacked the price to 3 bucks a dozen. I have been impressed that we never had a water shortage,
Guy work at Publix told me TP usually lasted for about 30-mins on the shelf, so I believe you were there at the right time. They seem to always be out of Chicken Breast for whatever reason.

Nah, I live just outside of a large city in what is called the country and we have like one independent pizza place which sucks and is Paris expensive. But I can drive to get takeout most anywhere in less than 20 minutes.

It really does help to take little breaks from this thread here and there. Our psychs are fragile and we are like drug addicts facing what we were addicted to in life and how we were suddenly cut off in many cases. I have not met anyone untouched from this as of late. I just fear what we might accept as the new normal.
It is good to be on here and looking at this info. Yetz we also need to do things that ease and relax our minds. Going out for a walk, just being outside can help.

Bill 10 has also increased the maximum penalty for disobeying the Public Health Act from $2,000 to $100,000 for a first offence, and from $5,000 to $500,000 for a subsequent offence.

But after reading some of the comments below the article, I can see that a LOT of people are waking up to what we have been saying here for a long time and is no longer in the realm of "conspiracy theory."
I'm noticing that a lot now in comment sections. I checked out Tom Petty's video for Don't Come Around Here No More (someone mentioned it in VCs recent article), a lot of them noticing what it portrays.

We disinfect everything that comes from the grocery store. Then leave it untouched for a few hours before putting it away.
Looked like the neighbors across the street do that..my husband saw them washing down things they got delivered to their house..can’t say if they left it untouched after that though.

German virologists explicitly explained that the virus cannot be transmitted unless an infected person coughs on the object. The research was done in the most affected villages in Germany.
They tested door knobs, phones and so on. No active virus was found.

Loads of people pick things up in shops then put them back on the shelf.

That’s true as well and I mentioned that a long time ago..especially in the beginning of this when there was no quarantine happening.

@justjess and others, just looked up where to report price gouging and saw the recommendation to report it to your state's attorney general. Have the name of the store/vendor and address and date, time, price of when you saw the product.

I would've thought Dept of Commerce?

Hope this helps!

It was a good point make.

But you don't wipe down your tins and packets and stuff yourself?

I am trying to take sensible precautions without going OTT.

I have never wiped anything down and have kept the plastic bags to use as trash bags around the house..
In fact, before the quarantine I went to Disney World, went to the dentist twice, came back from Disney World with a cold that cleared up by taking emergenC, didn’t get any sicker though some guy on the plane was coughing up a lung. Went to the store multiple times they week we returned because I kept forgetting to buy this or that. Have gone out for take out on the weekend and ate from the same box/bag the food was served in. I’m fine, my family is fine. So...if it were really that easy to get than me and my family should have gotten it a looonnnggg time ago I would think but we didn’t so that’s why I think something else is going on.

Glad to hear you and your family are staying well.

Something else is certainly going one. But wether it is as well as a disease, or instead of one, I don't know.
So I will take a few basic precautions. I think its a good idea anyway.
I bet loads of people scratch their asses and then touch the tins.

I still handle my mail normally. No disinfect or anything.
Kinda carrying on as usual around the house. Only thing is no school for the kiddo, wife works from home, no leisure like gym, theaters are open. Shopping we have to pick a time, which is hard cause I still work and by the time I get out all the non essential stay at home wankers get dibs on everything.

*sigh*
