In the meantime, it doesn’t hurt to take in both sides of the question, so just as I once studied the “other sides” arguments, as someone interested in truth you have nothing to lose by researching material unfavourable to an evolutionary account.

I was watching Focus on Israel on a Christian network and the presenter has an organisation that holds these conferences with invited speakers. This particular episode had 6 speakers, the first being John Bolton and the last was a Reverend who unequivocally stated that "what you do with your life is optional but what you do with Israel isn't optional".(Sorry, i tried to locate the video of the episode but failed)
While watching, i couldn't help but ask myself why any christian would have people like Bolton for fellow travelers. I guess that the end justifies the means and as long as Bolton is doing "God's work", what does it matter?

What an enlightening article. It certainly exposes this forum's resident CZ poster's MO. As intellectual as they try and come across , if they have bought into this evangelical end times madness then it's wisdom which is lacking. Quote from the article....

He doesn't seem to understand the cataclysmic nature of the Deluge-- the world did not turn into a big swimming pool in which animals could float to the top and tread water, as he said they should.

Pressurized water from beneath the earth's crust pretty much exploded upward, and the water, mud / sediment quickly overtook and buried everything in its path. Js.

If the people who hate Jews don't want Jerusalem to be a fulfillment of prophecy -- a burdensome stone and a cup of trembling -- they should put their weapons down and walk away from it. They should stop talking about Israel at the UN. Stop the marches. Stop BDS. Stop it all, if you don't want Jerusalem to be a big deal.

The secular outrage over the status of the holy city of Jerusalem should be a big clue that there's something supernatural happening.

So what's all this it rained for 40 days and 40 nights business then? If the water came up it didn't come down. No doubt there have been cataclysmic geological events before but linking it all to God takes one hell of a lot of blind faith. Just because it's written in a Bible it doesn't make it true does it?
