In direct, truthful answer to the OP is: Ibn Hisham (who died c. 834 A.D.) and Muhammad al-Bukhari, etc.
Ibn Hisham allegedly based his "biographical" writings on the works of a previous and notorious liar named Ibn Ishaq (who died c. 750 A.D.). However,
NONE of Ibn Ishaq's work survived, so we are supposed to take Ibn Hisham's word for it that these alleged biographical writings existed, and buy into the notion that these alleged writings, which no one can prove even existed, can be trusted.
And whose biography were these writings supposedly based upon? The alleged life of an Arab man named "Muhammad".
IF we look at the Koran/Quran, and believe that the Quran is the inspired Word of God, then why do so few even wonder why God chose to provide us with virtually no biographical details about the individual referred to as "Muhammad"? Why are there only 4 direct references to Muhammad in the Quran?
And
IF we are to assume that God wanted Ibn Hisham to tell us a story about an Arab man named Muhammad that reportedly lived in the late 6th century and early 7th century A.D., then why would God not tell us in the Quran that He was sending that information, and that we should look for it? Further yet, why would God not have preserved the work of Ibn Ishaq if it was true and accurate, so that everyone could see where that work originated?
Instead, God told us that the information in the Quran was
COMPLETE, when read and studied with the Old Covenant/Testament and the New Covenant/Testament which came before it.
Sura 5:4. Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat (
Lev. 22:8,
Deut. 14:21), blood (
Lev. 3:17,
Lev. 17:10-11), the flesh of swine (
Deut. 14:8), and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than "I AM" (
Num. 25:1-3); that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal (
Lev. 22:8); unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form) that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject Faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not, but fear Me (
Matt. 10:28).
THIS DAY* I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for YOU, submission to My will, as your religion (Matt. 6:9-13). But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, "I AM" is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
*This leaves absolutely
NO wiggle room for men to fabricate additional sayings allegedly attributed to Muhammad
AFTER the Koran, like the alleged non-existent works of "Ibn Ishaq" or Ibn Hisham or the fabricated works that Muhammad al-Bukhari “compiled” over 200 years after the alleged death of Muhammad.
Anyone choosing to believe there is such a thing as an "authentic" hadith is choosing to believe in the made-up stories of men
INSTEAD of believing and worshipping God.
