Kpop already reached its peak, and is at it now. But clearly it already hit a wall, that is why the fat man want to make western pop music instead. Maybe if they focused on quality they could survive longer, but that is not the case. They just keep pooping out more uncharismatic groups with limited talent and release noise music or rejected songs but western musicians. I read somewhere that Korean boys are not even auditioning to become kpop stars anymore because they see no appeal and the boygroups are all flopping.
The only kpop artist to become a real gp hit was PsY. BP come in second as their songs have gone viral and are more recognized than other groups. Oh there was also that cupid song, a one hit wonder. Bt$ fans likes to pretend they are the shit, and they had a big fanbase which earned them the most money but they are not anything for the gp.
imho there were no western groups at the time bts came to the west so they had thought it out well but had poorly executed the kembers for example their lack of decent singing skills absolutely shouldve ended the groups careers years ago somehow they managed to not only delude their fan base but keep their momentum going until military service whether their next comeback would succeed, i kinda beg to differ as of now they seem to be relying so much on poorly made solo songs for the small amount of fans that are still clinging onto the group. blackpink also fell off the rails they cant sing nor dance in synch so i dont know why they still wanted to sign with another record label. lets face it most of the idols have to be slightly narcissistic bc they want to be seen as perfect kings or queens with high end branded garbage in their wardrobes as they offer next to nothing that western artists also havent been able to offer but the repetitive overhyped underproduced junky entertainment that the world will have to deal with for god knows how long

Kpop is oversaturated with groups and hardly any of them has at least, one talented member. All looks, dances, playback and brand deals, disposable songs that no one really cares about.
It's significant to note that, older groups having comebacks and gp be more interested in that than in newer groups. Also, the dancing whatever program reuniting people like Hyori, Uhm Junghwa...... had a great success.

Im against the existence of the music industry but I agree.

"I read somewhere that Korean boys are not even auditioning to become kpop stars anymore because they see no appeal and the boygroups are all flopping". Could it be the reason that the majority of them are rich brats who got into there by connections? Surely it's not a myth that someone with a rich background can only rely on his/her wealth as opposed to someone from the lower middle class who is obligated to have even a bit of talent. I won't blame the rich kids though bc the fault is on whoever is their parent. Not for using their connections but bc they put their offspring in the most dangerous places.
But since we're talking about connections I heard that some use it unfairly like taking someone else's spot. Like in iz0ne or allegedly a3spa (gizelle whose aunt is lsm's gf I think). From an outsider's pov it sounds so irritating and humiliating but I don't feel sad for them since you're kinda free from all the hassle of debuting and se x ualization. That is if they let you go and not buy your freedom on top of it and sell you to sponsors.

The group 5050 that sang cupid, I wonder if something more than what we see happened with them. Bc someone mentioned that a more powerful agency or authority had a hand in bringing them down.

That's why I believe the g@r@m of lsfm fiasco is a whole theatre play from A to Z. At the time the groups who debuted were kinda the talk of the kpoppies town. Other than the bully case, they rely on se x ualizing their products so much and especially the youngest as usual.

This is so silly.. i hope you guys have a good laugh... This is what unesco said about Collab with svte
" Their performance is more than just entertainment, it’s a call for youth empowerment and collective action. As prominent influencers in the global arena, SEVENTEEN's participation highlights the vital role artists can play in global dialogues, inspiring millions of youths to engage with pressing issues and drive meaningful change."

And you know what, they spoke about members more than about inspiration and change.... June litreally said when I met veronn i was stunned by his handsomeness..
So these are global dialogues inspiring youth lol ... it is nothing but mini concert.... Waste. No kpop star has guts to speak on real issues but to promote means they will say love yourself, trust yourself, be the change blah blah blah.
And hosi posed with horange style in pic you know silly and foolish it looks, u can say they don't have seriousness and fans are saying it's cute ....

never really liked nor cared for the beatles tbqfh. cant even avoid them through the media in this useless country, dont bother visiting liverpool either cause the beatles are everywhere there

The Beatles were great musicians and songwriters but they had serious character flaws, for example Lennon and Harrison made fools of themselves by attacking christianity, and McCartney was money-obsessed, and Ringo was dull as dishwater.
And of course they sacked Pete Best as drummer because they were jealous of his good looks and his army of girl fans, they didn't even have the guts to tell him themselves and left it to manager Epstein to sack him.
But in fairness to them, nearly ALL 'celebrities' are flawed in some way and are always in and out of drug and booze rehab clinics, and having to see shrinks to sort them out, all of which sets a bad example to kids.

You're welcome. A YouTuber had a video about the jobs CEOs send their ex trainees and idols to. It's really messed up and sounds more like they're setup to fail, and the job was the real reason they're recruited. Top idols or nugus, they all end up in that type of work. One of the former members of Tr@inee @ is now working in a cafe. Reading this, I wonder what happened to the rest of the members. Two are trying to get into music on their own, but the rest have disappeared. I've seen the word Tenpro and didn't know what it meant. Now I'm going to be racking my brains trying to remember where I saw it. Thank you for sharing that.
Do you know which member? I know most of the members haven’t been seen much since.

Many of the "scandals" related to bullying either were a lie or ballooned. For what? Who knows......Publicity? or to harm the group's image?

Few differences between groups, members look more or less the same, it's hard to differentiate. Irrelevant songs that need to pay payola and few talent. No wonder the latest song of Red Velvet is charting high even if it is average.

Some older kpop groups could actually sing live. Now lipsyncing or singing over a loud prerecorded playback is the norm. Their music is also written and produced by western artists so nothing new there. A group like Bt$ showed the whole industry that bad vocals can take you really far so why invest in in talent or quality? Have you seen their alleged star now come to be known as fraudkook try to sing? They want this JB wannabe mid to compete in the western market with his trashy music. I say they lost the plot. Kpop is famous because of other aspects like visuals group performances, weird parasocial relationships and fanservice, not exactly quality music or innovation.

'Celebrity' Matthew Perry died recently and the media has been full of "outpourings of grief", but I'd never even heard of him and had to look him up in Wiki and see he's just another drugs-and-booze-riddled loser.
The only good thing to come out of his death will be to show kids what happens if you wreck your body like that.

It's sad, but it's also true.
