In John 6, Jesus says four times “I will raise him up at the last day”?

IMG_5907.jpeg

Shemini Azeret, “The Last Great Day” of the fall feasts.

37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

John 7:37-38 KJV

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.

41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?

42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

43 So there was a division among the people because of him.

44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.

45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?

46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.

47 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?

48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?

49 But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.

50 Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,)

51 Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?

52 They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.

53 And every man went unto his own house.

It seems that Shemini Azeret is an interesting and often overlooked feast day, and I must admit I had never come across it before starting this thread!

I love this song…

From TW Tramm’s Facebook page

OCTOBER 24 marks the seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles called Hoshana Rabbah.

Like other appointed times on God’s calendar, Hoshana Rabbah has themes and traditions that point to the Rapture:

THE GREATEST DAY

Scripture calls the last day of Tabernacles, or Hoshana Rabbah, the “greatest day” (John 7:37). Moreover, the Jewish phrase Hoshana Rabbah means “great salvation” or “great deliverance.”

Correspondingly, the Day of the Lord, which begins at the Rapture, is called a great day, and a day of deliverance: “That day is great, so that none is like it … it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he will be delivered out of it” (Jer. 30:7).

SAVE US NOW

On each of the first six days of the Feast of Tabernacles, the priests would ceremoniously make one circuit around the Temple altar with palm branches. On the seventh day, however, Hoshana Rabbah, the priests would circle the altar seven times as the people recited the messianic psalm, “Save us now, Lord!” (118:25). The seven circuits around the altar recall the seven circuits that the Israelites made around the City of Jericho, when a trumpet blast and a shout announced the collapse of the walls, and the people went “straight up” into the city—a picture of the Rapture (Josh. 6).

JUDGMENT DELIVERED

Jews consider Hoshana Rabbah the last of the Days of Judgment that begin at the Feast of Trumpets. According to the Zohar, the judgment that is decreed at the Feast of Trumpets, and sealed on the Day of Atonement, is not sent out until the end of Tabernacles, making Hoshana Rabbah the day of “judgment delivered.”

AUTUMN RAINS

Hoshana Rabbah marks the climax of the traditional water libation ritual in which water was collected from the Siloam Spring and brought by a priestly procession to the Temple altar, where it was poured out before the Lord. The water pouring ceremony was a petition to God to send the autumn rains so vital for the coming year’s crops.

Prophetically, the autumn rains foreshadow Jesus’ coming: “His coming is as certain as the dawn. He will come to us like the rain, like the autumn and spring rains come on the earth” (Hos. 6:2, 3).

COME TO ME

It was on the last and greatest day of Tabernacles, Hoshana Rabbah, that Jesus stood up in the Temple and declared: “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink” (John 7:37). The water that Jesus spoke of was the “living water,” the life-giving Spirit of God that “seals” one for redemption at the resurrection–rapture (Rev. 22:1; Eph. 4:30).

Like other key elements of God’s redemptive plan, the invitation to “drink” is pictured in the constellations: Aquarius, the water bearer who represents Jesus, pours out an urn of life-giving water near the fish of Pisces, who represent the Church.

But there is more to this celestial picture in 2024. Seeing how God uses the sun, moon and stars for “signs” (Gen. 1:14), it is significant that on Nisan 1, a total solar eclipse occurred on the “Band” that binds the fish pointed toward the water bearer (Aquarius–Jesus), signifying a severing, or breaking, of the band:

To appreciate the unlikelihood of a solar eclipse occurring on the Band of Pisces, consider that the Sun is found at this location only one day each year, and this year it happened to be the day that the New Moon of Nisan eclipsed the Sun, giving the appearance of a breaking of the Band.

But it gets more interesting. Six months after the eclipse that “broke the band” of Pisces, on the first day of the current Feast of Tabernacles, the full Moon, which denotes the fullness of the Church, crossed over the same Band of Pisces, recalling the earlier sign:

Finally, seven days later on Hoshana Rabbah, the Moon will enter the constellation Cancer, the “sheepfold” that depicts the Church’s heavenly home, the place of many mansions where believers will dwell, or “tabernacle,” with the Lord after the Rapture (John 14:2, 3).

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

The seventh day of Tabernacles, or Hoshana Rabbah, is:

• The last and greatest day.

• The day of salvation or deliverance.

• The day when the people cry, “Save us now, Lord!”

• The day when judgment is delivered.

• The day when Jesus says, “come to me.”

Having noted how the themes of Hoshana Rabbah evoke the Rapture, we understand that “no one knows the day,” not even the angels (Matt. 24:36). Nonetheless, the timely signs in the heavens should be read as confirmation that Jesus is coming quickly. So, “let the one who hears say, ‘Come!’ Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life” (Rev. 22:17).

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: No one knows the day or hour of Jesus’ return (Matt. 24:36). However, a convergence of biblical signs and timelines suggests that it is near. To escape the judgment reserved for a God-rejecting world, one must know Jesus as Lord and Savior. If you have not yet done so, call on His name and believe that He is the Son of God who died for your sins and was raised from the dead, and you will be saved (Rom. 10:13).

From T.W. Tramm’s Facebook page…

HALLOWEEN is growing more popular each year. Next to Christmas, it is the largest retail holiday in America. It is also the second most celebrated holiday among Millennials, beating out Thanksgiving.

Despite its popularity, few are aware of Halloween’s true origins.

The standard explanation is that the spooky celebration derives from the pagan practices of the Druids and Celts. The Celtic festival called Samhain, meaning “summer’s end,” marked the end of the harvest season and the start of the darker half of the year.

The Celts believed that during Samhain, the boundary between the physical and spiritual world was thinner, and spirits could more easily traverse the realms. The visiting spirits, thought to be degraded versions of the ancient gods, had to be appeased to ensure that people and livestock would survive the winter. Thus, food and drink “treats” were left out as offerings.

Another Samhain tradition was to hollow out turnips or beets to make lanterns. The vegetable-lanterns, often with grotesque faces carved into them, were placed on windowsills to ward off evil spirits. As an added measure of protection, people would wear costumes, or disguises, to avoid being recognized by the spirits.

A clue that Halloween’s roots extend beyond the traditions of the Celts, however, is the fact that ancient cultures worldwide, from the Aztecs of Mexico to the Aborigines of Australia, have similar traditions about a day of death and departed spirits around the end of October:

• The Aztecs observed the Day of the Dead in November.

• The Assyrians had ceremonies for the souls of the dead in October–November.

• The Peruvians ended their November new-year celebration by placing food and drink on the graves of the departed.

• The Hindu ‘Durga’ festival of the dead was originally linked to the new year in November.

• The Persians called November (Mordad) “the month of the angel of death.”

• The early Anglo-Saxons called November “blood month.”

• The aboriginal Australians would, around this time, paint white stripes on their arms and legs to look like skeletons.

What is fascinating is that equally as prevalent as the autumn festivals to the dead are traditions about a flood that nearly wiped out the whole human race. Dating back to the latter part of the Stone Age, accounts from virtually every continent and island chain, from the Americas to Asia, describe a deluge sent by a god or gods to destroy civilization as an act of divine retribution. A common thread in the flood myths is that the destruction of humanity inaugurated a new era, or cycle, that will similarly end in destruction.

Diverse traditions around a common theme, a world-destroying flood in October–November, suggest that such an event actually occurred. According to the most historically and archaeologically accurate ancient book in existence—the Bible—the flood that wiped out nearly all of humanity in the month of Cheshvan (October–November) is the Flood of Noah.

Thus, the holiday associated with disembodied spirits, known by different names and celebrated in various ways around the globe, is actually a remembrance of the dead who perished as a result of God’s judgment.

That Halloween pays homage to the wicked destroyed in Noah’s day sheds a revealing light on this macabre holiday and explains its exploding popularity as we near the day of Jesus’ return.

“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man” (Matt. 24:37).

. . .

NOTES:

1. It is significant that the Celts believed the visiting spirits to be degraded versions of the ancient gods. According to Genesis, in the days before the Flood, a group of rebel angels took human wives and begat a hybrid race of giants, “the mighty men who were of old, men of renown” (Gen. 6:1–4). The resulting corruption of nearly all flesh is why God sent the Flood. According to the extrabiblical Book of Enoch, the spirits of the bloodthirsty giants who perished in the Flood still roam the earth. While pagan cultures have historically worshipped them as gods, informed Christians understand them to be demons.

2. Ancient flood traditions are ubiquitous:

3. Catastrophic nature of the Flood: Geological evidence worldwide, such as fossilized plants and animals found at the wrong latitudes, and misaligned magnetic orientations in lava flows, suggests that at the time of a worldwide flood, the earth tilted on its axis. The tilting of the globe to its current axis of 23.5 degrees accounts for the drastic change in climate after Noah’s Flood, including the beginning of the hydrological cycle, the ice age, and the seasons. What is awesome to consider is that Scripture foretells a second tilting of the globe around the time of Jesus’ return. Isaiah describes the earth being moved exceedingly, turned upside down, reeling to and fro, and every landmass being moved out of its place (Isa. 13:13; 24:1, 19, 20; see also Ps. 46:2, 3). Luke and Revelation describe roaring seas, strange tides, and the heavens receding like a scroll (Luke 21; 25, 26; Rev. 6:14). That the earth will again be turned on its side lends another layer of meaning to Jesus’ words: “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man” (Matt. 24:37).

4. Americans spend roughly 12 billion annually on Halloween.

From T.W. Tramm’s Facebook page

CHESHVAN, the month of Noah’s Flood, begins November 3.

Here are nine reasons Cheshvan could be pivotal for America and the world:

1. EIGHTH MONTH

Cheshvan is the eighth biblical month. The number eight is associated with birth, new beginnings, and resurrection in Scripture (Gen. 17:12; Matt. 28).

2. AUTUMN RAINS

Cheshvan marks the beginning of the autumn rains that portend Jesus’ return: “His coming is as certain as the dawn. He will come to us like the rain, like the autumn and spring rains come on the earth” (Hos. 6:2, 3).

3. TEMPLE DEDICATION

Since Cheshvan is the only month with no festivals or special observances, the rabbis teach that it is reserved for the time of Messiah, who will inaugurate the ultimate Temple in this month.

4. JUBILEE FISH

In Jewish mysticism, Cheshvan is linked to the letter Nun. The numeric value of the letter Nun is 50, the number of Jubilee or redemption (Lev. 25). Moreover, in Aramaic the word nun means “fish,” a symbol of believers, or the Church.

5. JUDGMENT CONSTELLATION

Cheshvan is when the Sun enters the constellation Libra, the ‘weighing scales.’ The scales of Libra signify judgment, as when the handwriting on the wall declared God’s verdict on Babylon: “You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting. Your kingdom is divided and given to the [enemy]” (Dan. 5:26–28).

6. DAYS OF NOAH

Cheshvan is when the Flood of Noah began and ended (Gen. 7–8). This is significant because, speaking of the timing of His return, Jesus says it will be “like the days of Noah” (Matt. 24:37).

7. ECLIPSE ANNIVERSARY

Cheshvan 1 this year marks seven months since the American solar eclipse on Nisan 1. The American eclipse was considered a major biblical sign because:

• It occurred above the world’s sole superpower and head of the Gentile nations.

• It occurred above the nation that is home to roughly half the world’s Jews, and which is Israel’s chief ally and protector.

• It crossed the path of the 2017 American eclipse to form a giant ‘X,’ the symbol of cancellation or termination, across the US.

• The crossing point of the giant ‘X’ was America’s Little ‘Egypt,’ the nation synonymous with God’s judgment (Ex. 7–12).

• The path was 120 miles wide, evoking the 120-year limit set on corrupt humanity in Noah’s day (Gen. 6:3).

• The path crossed over the only US city named ‘Jonah’ and multiple locations named ‘Nineveh,’ evoking the biblical account of the prophet who was sent to warn the Ninevites of God’s impending judgment.

8. ASTEROID ‘FLOOD’

Between September 11 and November 5—America’s terror anniversary and election day, respectively—an asteroid named ‘4220 Flood’ is found between the horns of the constellation Taurus, the bull that depicts Jesus as the coming Judge. Significantly, 2024 is the only year between 2015 and 2030 that asteroid Flood appears in Taurus during the Flood month.

Bolstering the Flood connection, Taurus is home to the Pleiades, the star cluster from which God is said to have borrowed two stars to initiate Noah’s Flood (Berakhot 59a). What is fascinating is that the annual Taurid meteor shower, which coincidentally peaks beginning on Election Day, is thought to be responsible for meteor impacts related to a mass extinction event in earth’s distant past. The only mass extinction event recorded in Scripture is the Flood of Noah.

Another coincidence is that asteroid Flood initially entered Taurus on Tammuz 17, the anniversary of when Israel was punished for worshipping the golden calf (Ex. 32). From Tammuz 17 to the anniversary of the Flood is 120 days, again evoking the “120” limit set on corrupt humanity in Noah’s day (Gen. 6:3)

9. ASTEROID ‘AMERICA’

Finally, continuing the judgment theme, on the 17th of Tammuz, or 120 days before the Flood anniversary, an asteroid named ‘916 America’ entered Capricornus. The half goat, half fish of Capricornus symbolizes the atoning sin-offering (goat), and the people (fish) for whom the atonement is made (Lev. 16:5–10). The number assigned to the asteroid, 916, correlates to Strong’s #916 (Greek), bareó, which refers to a burden, or weighing down, due to sin.

Asteroid ‘America’ lingers in Capricornus (sin offering) until the eve of Cheshvan, when it enters Aquarius, the water bearer who pours out a flood from a giant urn.

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

Cheshvan:

• Is the month of new beginnings.

• Is when the autumn rains that portend Jesus’ coming begin.

• Is when the rabbis believe the ultimate Temple will be dedicated.

• Is linked to the number 50 (redemption) and fish (Church–believers).

• Is when the Sun enters Libra, the weighing scales that signify atonement or judgment.

• Is when Noah’s Flood began and ended.

With the judgment themes in view, it is significant that Cheshvan 2024 is seeing a convergence of judgment signs:

• Cheshvan 1 marks seven months since the American eclipse.

• Between September 11 and Election Day, asteroid ‘Flood’ is in the horns of Taurus, the judgment constellation.

• The Taurid meteor shower associated with Noah’s Flood begins to peak on Election Day.

• Asteroid ‘Flood’ entered Taurus (judgment), 120 days before the Flood anniversary.

• Asteroid ‘America’ entered Capricornus (sin offering) 120 days before the Flood anniversary.

If we are reading the signs correctly, America is ripe for judgment.

Will Cheshvan mark a turning point?

Time will tell.

From T.W. Tramm’s Facebook page:

JESUS said that when He comes to gather His followers, it will be “like the days of Noah” (Matt. 24:37).

Here are 12 ways that Noah’s Flood foreshadows the Rapture:

1. DATE CONNOTATION

Noah’s Flood began on the 17th day of the 8th month, Cheshvan (Gen. 7:11; Ex. 12:1).

The numbers 17 and 8 are associated with resurrection: Jesus, the “firstborn from the dead,” was raised on the 17th day, which was also an 8th day, the day after the Sabbath (Col. 1:18; Matt. 28).

2. AGE OF MAN

Noah was 600 years old when the Flood began (Gen. 7:6).

Humanity will be 6,000 years old when Judgment Day begins (2 Pet. 3:3–8; Barnabas 15:7–9).

3. BIRTH PARALLEL

The Flood began when earth’s “water broke,” via the bursting of the underground springs (Gen. 7:11).

At the Rapture, the earth will “give birth” to the dead (Isa. 26:19–21).

4. BUSINESS AS USUAL

When the Flood began, people were involved in regular activities (Matt. 24:38).

When the Rapture happens, people will be involved in regular activities (v. 39).

5. THE RIGHTEOUS ESCAPE

At the Flood, the righteous escaped judgment by being caught up in the Ark (Gen. 7:7).

At the Rapture, the righteous will escape judgment by being caught up to heaven (Luke 21:36).

6. MANY ROOMS

Noah’s Ark contained many rooms (Gen. 6:14).

Heaven, the destination of the raptured saints, contains many rooms (John 14:2).

7. THIRD LEVEL

Noah’s Ark had three interior levels (Gen. 6:16). The third (top) level is where Noah and his family resided (Gen. 8:6).

The third level of heaven is where believers are “caught up” to (2 Cor. 12:2).

8. THE DOOR IS SHUT

After Noah and his family boarded the Ark, the door was shut (Gen. 7:13–16).

In the Parable of the Virgins, after the “wise” enter the wedding, the door is shut (Matt. 25:10).

9. LET US IN

When the Flood rains began, the people outside the Ark cried out to be let in. But they were not let in (Jasher 6: 18, 21, 24).

In the Parable of the Virgins, the “foolish” who are locked out of the wedding cry out to be let in. But they are not let in (Matt. 25:10–12).

10. ALL FLESH DESTROYED

Noah’s Flood destroyed nearly all flesh (Gen. 7:21).

If the Tribulation were not cut short, no flesh would survive (Matt. 24:22).

11. THE RIGHTEOUS RETURN

After the Flood, Noah and His family descended back to earth (Gen. 8:4).

After the Tribulation, the raptured saints will descend back to earth (Rev. 19:11–16).

12. ONE DOOR

Noah’s Ark had only one door through which to enter (Gen. 6:16).

There is only one “door” by which one can enter heaven at the Rapture, the person of Jesus Christ (John 10:9).

Lastly, with the Flood–Rapture parallels in view, it is interesting to consider a correlation in the stars.

REDEMPTION CONSTELLATION

Scripture teaches that the Sun’s path through the stars “reveals knowledge” (Ps.19:1–8). With this in mind, it is significant that during Cheshvan, the Sun passes through the constellation Libra, the Scales that signify the price of redemption.

The price of redemption was paid by Jesus, who assumed our debt and paid it with His life (Col. 1:14). When we acknowledge His atoning purchase, we are sealed for bodily redemption at the Rapture:

“When you believed, you were marked …with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption” (Eph. 1:14).

“We … who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we await eagerly … the redemption of our bodies” (Rom. 8:23).

“When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your [bodily] redemption is drawing near” (Luke 21:28).

Since the Sun is God’s heavenly pointer, and Libra signifies the price of redemption, it is conceivable that the consummation of the redemption—the Rapture—could occur while the Sun is in Libra.

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

Jesus said that when He comes to gather His own, it will be like the days of Noah.

The Flood and Rapture are similarly:

• Evoked by the numbers 17, 8, and 6.

• A type of birth.

• A surprise event for nonbelievers.

• An escape via a single door, to a place with many rooms.

• A shutting of the door.

• Followed by a descent back to earth.

Bolstering the Rapture connection, the Sun is in Libra, the redemption constellation, during the Flood month, Cheshvan.

Despite the above correlations, we understand that “no one knows the day, not even the angels” (Matt. 24:36). While the Lord could appear on a date that seems fitting to us, there are verses that suggest He may not (vv. 42–44; 1 Thess 5:1, 2).

So be ready always!

. . .

NOTES:

1. In Noah’s day, the eighth month (Cheshvan) was called the second month (Gen. 7:11). Later, when God reordered the months (Ex. 12:1), the second month became the eighth.

2. Other coincidences related to 17:

• 17 is the seventh prime number after 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, making it a number of perfection or completion.

• 17 is a factor of 153, the number of fish who were “caught up” and brought to the Lord (John 21).

• 17 is the number of shekels that Jeremiah paid for a field, because the Jubilee, or year of redemption, was near (Jer. 32:10).

3. Libra signifies redemption:
See also Bullinger, ‘The Witness of the Stars,’ and Seiss, ‘The Gospel in the Stars.’

4. Bolstering the Flood connection, Libra contains the oldest known star in the Universe (HD 140283), known as "Methuselah," the name of Noah’s grandfather who died shortly before the Flood.

5. The Sun appears annually in Libra between November 1–23, corresponding to the better part of Cheshvan in 2024.

6. Significantly, a decan, or subdivision, of Libra is Corona Borealis, the Crown constellation that depicts the crown worn by King Jesus, and the crowns awarded to believers at His coming (Rev. 3:11; 4:4; 14:14). The Crown constellation is home to the much publicized “Blaze Star,” T Coronae Borealis, which is expected to go “nova” at any moment—a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence that will give the appearance of a bright new star in the heavenly crown.

7. Summary of celestial alignments on Cheshvan 17 (November 19), 2024:

• The Sun, a symbol of the Lord, is in Libra, the redemption sign.

• Venus, the “Morning Star” that symbolizes Jesus, is in the head of Sagittarius, the triumphant conqueror, going forth.

• Jupiter, the “King Planet” that symbolizes Jesus, is in the horns of Taurus, a picture of the coming Judge and Ruler.

• Asteroid (4220) “Flood” is near the horns of Taurus.

• The Moon, a symbol of the Church–Bride, is in Gemini, the wedding sign.

THE Book of Jubilees is a Jewish apocalyptic text that was well known to the early Church.

While not considered to be inspired, Jubilees contains fascinating details not found in Scripture. For instance, in chapter 3, the date of the fall of mankind is given:

“In the second month, on the seventeenth day, the serpent came and approached the woman, and the serpent said to the woman, 'Hath God commanded you, saying, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?’” (Jub. 3:17).

If Jubilees is correct about the date of the Fall, it would explain why God later sent the Flood, the judgment against the corrupted world, on the same date:

“On the seventeenth day of the second month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened” (Gen. 7:11).

Taking it a step further, if the Fall occurred on the 17th, leading to the Flood on the 17th, one could reason that the redemption of man, via the resurrection–rapture, might also occur on the 17th.

The Rapture occurring on the anniversary of the Fall, which is also the anniversary of the Flood, would add meaning to Jesus’ statement, “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man” (Matt. 24:37).

ASTRONOMICAL COINCIDENCE

While researching the above connections, I happened upon a seemingly related astronomical alignment. Seven days prior to this year’s Flood anniversary, on Cheshvan 10, an asteroid named “6461 Adam” entered the belly area of Virgo, the first constellation of the Zodiac, which is associated with birth and new beginnings (Rev. 12). Significantly, this alignment will not occur again until 2032.

Furthering the Flood and new-beginnings themes, asteroid Adam was discovered at the beginning of a Sabbatical week (1993), during Cheshvan, the month of Noah’s Flood.

But the most striking thing about asteroid Adam is that when we add the numbers assigned by the International Astronomical Union (6 + 4 + 6 + 1), they amount to 17—the date of Adam’s fall and Noah’s flood.

OTHER CORRELATIONS

Adding to the eschatological intrigue around the 17th are various other correlations:

• Noah’s Flood, which began and ended on the 17th, is by itself a clear foreshadowing of man’s redemption at the Rapture: https://tinyurl.com/5ctw45uv

• Joseph was age 17 when he was sold into slavery in Egypt, echoing how in Jubilees, humanity was ‘sold into bondage’ on the 17th.

• Jesus, the “head” of the Church, was resurrected on the 17th, making it a logical date for the “body” of believers to be resurrected.

• From Jesus’ resurrection on Nisan 17, to the Church’s conceivable resurrection on Cheshvan 17, is 7 months, denoting completion or a perfect period of time.

• Jacob lived in Egypt, a picture of the corrupted world, for 17 years, before passing on to be with the Lord (Gen. 47:28).

• 17 is the 7th prime number.

• 17 is the sum of the two perfect numbers, 10 and 7, signifying double perfection.

• The 10th day of the 7th month, or “17,” is when the Jubilee, or year of redemption, is declared (Lev. 25:9, 10).

• Jeremiah paid 17 shekels for a field, because the year of redemption was near (Jer. 32:10).

• 17 is a factor of 153, the number of fish who were “caught up” and brought to the Lord (John 21).

• Cheshvan 17 is when the UN, the organization whose “peace-and-security” motto portends the Day of the Lord, was founded (1 Thess. 5:3).

• Cheshvan 17 is when the Sun, a symbol of Jesus the Bridegroom, is in the constellation Libra, the Scales that signify the price of redemption (Ps. 84:11; 19:5).

• The date of mankind’s fall appears in verse 17: “In the second month, on the seventeenth day, the serpent came and approached the woman…” (Jub. 3:17).

• The rapture–redemption is described in verse 17: “We who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thess. 4:17).

Finally, it is interesting to note that according to the biblical chronology, Adam died as a consequence of the Fall 930 years after Creation, which is 726 years before Noah’s Flood in 1656 AM. That there are 726 years between Adam and the Flood is significant because Strong’s #726 in the Greek New Testament is the word harpazó, which is translated “caught up” in the Bible’s rapture verse (1 Thess. 4:17). Thus, via the chronology in Genesis, we have a connection between the Fall, the Flood, and the Rapture.

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

According to Jubilees, the fall of mankind occurred on the 17th, the date that God later sent the Flood.

Since Jesus compares His coming to the “days of Noah,” it is conceivable that the redemption of man could also occur on the 17th.

The redemption occurring on the 17th is supported by numerous biblical types, including the Flood itself, and the resurrection of Jesus.

With the Fall/Flood/Redemption correlations in view, it is significant that 7 days prior to this year’s Flood anniversary, Cheshvan 17, an asteroid named Adam, whose identifying number adds up to 17, entered the belly area of Virgo, the constellation associated with birth and new beginnings.

Having shown how Cheshvan 17 is a logical date for the Rapture, we understand that “no one knows the day, not even the angels.” While the Lord could appear on a date that seems to add up, there are verses that suggest He may not. So, “Keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” (Matt. 24:42).

5. Asteroid 6461 Adam: https://www.universeguide.com/asteroid/9662/adam

6. Also noteworthy is that 6461 divided by 7 is 923. “9/23,” or September 23, is the date associated with the autumnal equinox, and the Revelation 12 alignment that occurs annually in Virgo.

7. Asteroid Adam lingers in the belly of Virgo until December 5 (Kislev 4), 2024, when it conjuncts with one of the main stars in the constellation called “Heze” (zeta Virginis). Adam will not again enter the belly of Virgo until 2032.

Wider context on the season…
