You want EVIDENCE and think that the video tape of the encounter wasn’t even enough to fire the cop let alone criminally charge him. Try having consistent standards Lisa. Also.. try answering a question. What is your source for these claims?
Looks like the police chief is talking about it..

I’d like to see the whole thing go down..and then decide from there..that context thing again.

edit: will need to add an a to the word r*pe in the link for it to work.

I edited the post to remind people that they will have to fix the word r*pe when they go to the link because of the editing VC does at this site with that word.

I read your police chief article... a three fold increase is a bit excessive to even claim. And I could see tons of motive for making false claims in this situation. It’s also highly irrational that one station closing Out of numerous stations means cops can’t Function all of a sudden. There’s a police station on every corner in nyc. I’d imagine other cities aren’t as excessive but also have a lot of presence.

That is the source for the articles. She is the chief of police and black..you’re not saying the black chief of police is lying are you?

I'm not sure about all jurisdictions. Either way, criminalizing drug abuse as you say is just not done often. It's too hard to prove a drug case without the criminal actually possessing the drugs or some other sort of paraphernalia. Like a pill bottle, or pipe. In any case, toxicology reports don't prove intoxication, just that the drug was present in someone's system. Plus reactions to drugs can vary widely case by case, and there are false positives.

What sort of confirmation do you need? The only area I feel giving at all is what Floyd's killer and accomplices should be charged with. This is at least murder 2. And quite frankly, there's a pretty good argument for murder 1. Look, man, if a cop needs to choke a dude out in the middle of a chaotic brawl, I get that. Or if said cop is getting wailed on and has no choice but to start grappling I'm fine with that too. Floyd's case is way past that line of self-defense, this is like butchering someone.

If a dude gets chopped into pieces you wouldn't show up and be like, but what about the drug screen and underlying health conditions?
Bit of an extreme analogy. I think it's highly likely Chauvin will be convicted of at least involuntary manslaughter, because if it wasn't for the cops' restraint methods, Floyd would probably still be alive, but we still have to arrive at the actual convinction first. According to Baden's autopsy, Floyd also had internal spinal injury which means that it could've been the combination of Chauvin and the cop sitting on his back, which complicates things further. Baden didn't possess Floyd's medical records or the toxicology report either.

We were talking about established crime. The only one so far is Floyd resisting arrest, and in my opinion his use of fentanyl and meth, but I won't insist on the latter.

The US is a clash of cultures and the protests are amplifying our differences. Between urban vs. rural people, black communities vs. white, young vs. old. The VC forum is a microcosm of these perspectives. @vancityeagle was saying this- life's events are nuanced and take understanding to process correctly.

Police are usually good guys but with lower IQ and (more importantly) EQ's. In many ways they're unequipped to handle the power they have over the public's life and death. They've been trained in a culture of over-policing to feed the prison industry, criminalizing mostly low income people for drug offenses and property crimes. I believe they mean well but the the system we're all under breaks down communication. The root problem every time is economic. If good paying jobs were available then we could all have pride; crime would plummet.

There are some odd elements to the timing of the protests in the middle of a pandemic(?) but the sentiment of the leftist protesters/activists is very real. They have some legitimate arguments; past wrongs must be made right. There are deep seated illnesses in America which will never be healed until they're dealt with. I have no problem removing statues of Columbus, General Lee, or wicked old George Washington.

Whose Chaz? Awe u really are a kind loving person. I love u *hugs*
I’m sorry, I don’t know what Chaz is, I have no tv, never read news, or pay attention to political stuff, so forgive me for my blissful ignorance and no I’m not in Chaz and never will be. I’m perfectly content at staying at home. I don’t do politics and never will, just not my style. Politics has never been my thing and it never will be, just not my thing. I can feel the love of the Holy Spirit coming thru from u. Man U are so Holy Spirit filled. I just love christians so much!!! <3
calling out idiocy doesnt mean im not a loving person especially when it concerns defending truths of faith. So well tried, but try again.

Resisting arrest.. all you have for that is the cops words. He was handcuffed and at one point in a police car. If he was in fact having a medical problem then you lack the intent necessary for a crime. If they dragged him out the car to rough him up a bit and claimed resisting arrest you have a whole other can of worms. Must be nice to be able to live in denial about what American cops actually do

I don't think it was an extreme analogy.

Either way, dude can't be dying from fentanyl and heart disease and legitimately resist arrest. Those 2 things just don't work well together. So you are going to have to pick one.

Like I said, it's probably going to be homicide. But I won't be deciding that.

I suppose this Carol Baker is that special kind of white. The one they assume when it serves their interests.
elites don't share the same fate as people at lower levels of the triangle (black, white or jew).

Jews also die when they don't want to enter the triangle.

or Jay-z is at the top of the triangle, not white Americans.

I have no problem removing statues of Columbus, General Lee, or wicked old George Washington.

Couple of things I'd like to add to this whole equation.

1. The tearing down of statues, while I think is a good thing, is merely symbolic and really does absolutely nothing to solve the problem. In fact I think it simply enrages the other side. The banning of Confederate flags at Nascar is only supported by around 30% of Nascar fans, and I've seen one Nascar driver say he is quitting over this. So I'm not convinced that this isn't simply another bit of fuel to the fire. Then we have useless and frankly cringe pieces of symbolism like bandaid now producing dark brown bandaids instead of pink, black bachelor, and Nanci Pelosi kneeling in African Kente cloth. Like wtf ? How does any of that help race relations or the economic and social plight of black people ?

2. I'm also not convinced that all these people have not been drawn out to protest for the very purpose of mass spreading Covid, perhaps a more deadly strain. It would seem to make sense, especially considering you would be targeting primarily black people and white liberals. Two demographics of people the deep state would certainly not mind dwindling down in population.

Didnt you say the pilgrims felt they werent wrong so they werent wrong? Sounds like they were holding themselves not guily...
What should they have been guilty about?

Was the land really unoccupied if certain tribes moved to different parts of the land depending on the season?
Were they on the land at all times? If not then the land was unoccupied...

Just because you steal something that doesnt mean its actually yours. And it also doesnt mean the people or their descendants, dont own it anymore...
They don’t own it anymore...they can’t pass down something they don’t own.

Legally, he does as long as his father doesnt decide he doesnt...
His dad decides if he will inherit or not, but if Bill doesn’t own it anymore..than the son can’t inherit anything.

If its stolen from him, that means his son doesnt deserve it even if Bill Gates wants him to have it?
If he loses it all...he doesn’t own it anymore..his son doesn’t get it because daddy used to own it.

Yea the sad thing is that it was stolen from them. The good thing is they'll get it back...
I think you should live your life instead of living in jealousy and bitterness...hoping to get things you didn’t earn and don’t deserve to have just because you think your entitled to it all. That’s not how life really works.

Maybe you should take some pointers from this guy?
