I may get eaten alive for this observation, but I find it interesting how in light of Yoongi’s DUI situation, both of his stage names- “Agust D” and “SUGA” seem to relate to the event. He drove “drunk” and received a “DUI” in “August” and he has the stage name “Agust D”. Furthermore, “DT SUGA”, which is Agust D backwards, reminds of both alcohol and alcohol abuse. “Suga” reminds of sugar, and alcohol is a type of sugar. “DT” reminds of “delerium tremens”, a severe form of alcohol withdrawal.
Also, on a list of kpop stars who have received DUIs and whose BAC is known, Suga’s BAC is the highest of all- twice as high as the 2nd highest. This further makes his 2 stage names seem “fitting” in a way.
It sure is interesting how life works out sometimes.
