I refuse to spend money or time on a group that doesn't cater to me. If that makes me entitled, fine. I'm American. We have many options, some a lot better than kpop. I absolutely resent their entry into our music industry and demands to break the system more than it is already. Cater to their Korean fans, but don't expect me to pay for expensive tickets, merch, or extras when we can't even get proper fanmeets. Japan gets fanmeets. So does Indonesia, the Philippines, and a lot of other Asian countries.
They despise Westerners, so no American dollars for them. I left the Hive plantation and now listen to a group that's bothered to learn English, Indonesian, Thai and doesn't cater exclusively to their home fans. They eat foreign foods, sightsee and don't look ready to sh.t themselves if a fan touches them.
Enough coddling of these groups. They're not uneducated or illiterate. Most idols come from wealthy families that look down on the normal Koreans. They know that they have to cater to them, but despise them too. Idols aren't anything special and if they can't sing or dance, the least they can do is learn English or how to hold a conversation in interviews. Sorry if I'm too harsh, but kpop has begun to disgust me. Tired of the industry, the fans, and the enablers of oppa and unnie.
