What is sin according to the Bible?

Not according to the Bible, "...sin is the transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4). The law is God's ten commandments.
Every individual's Bible need not necessarily be the same.

What I mean is, nobody interpret things the same way.

What works for one may not work for the other.

Not according to the Bible. There is only one truth to any subject in the Bible that the Holy Spirit will lead/leads Christians to. For example the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week which is Saturday. God blessed that day and set it aside for His people to rest and spend time with Him. So Christians cannot just choose any day and call it the Sabbath because they feel that Sunday or Tuesday works better for them for example. God created all the days of the week and chose one day out of seven for rest and for all mankind to spend it with Him.

So biblically there is no such thing as a different message for different people on the same subject. All the lessons and messages will always harmonise with biblical doctrine.

Biblically Christians are not supposed to pick and choose what works for them and then discard what doesn't.

Well, we Muslims bow down to God five times a day.

Early to bed, early to rise, makes man healthy, wealthy, and wise.

Before sunrise
After midday
Before sunset
After sunset
Before midnight

We bow down and prostrate to God all over the world, and so do all the fishes in all the seas, all the birds, reptiles, and mammals, and even insects obey God and perform their set duties, and so do all the trees bow and their leaves, branches, and fruits.

Even Jesus fell on his face and prayed to God.

Jesus is the son of Mary, and Mary is the greatgranddaughter of Adam and Eve who in turn are the arch great grandparents of each and every human being to have ever existed.

I don't see how this is connected to what we are discussing but I will respond any way.

Bowing down to God shows reverence to God. Christians kneel down while praying which is also reverential to God. All mankind should be reverential to God but they should have a close relationship with God which in Christianity is praying, studying the Word of God etc. Showing reverence without having a close relationship with God is pointless.

What do you assume to know about the relationship that I have with God?

I am not assuming anything. The point I made was about all of us as humans not just you. Revering God without being close to Him is pointless.
I would say it is a start nonetheless.

The human being starts by believing, revering, and then the relationship of closeness to God builds over time and is maintained by constancy in good deeds, daily glorification, and nurturing that faith and building it until it blossoms towards the highest pinnacles of glory for the human soul, His Property.

Not biblically. Biblically when the Holy Spirit is working within us and converting us, the first thing we are to do is repent our sins and turn away from our sinful lives, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). There is no point in bowing or kneeling down to pray to God when one's heart is not converted. A genuine conversion is when we recognise we are sinners and need Christ and then we begin to change from our sinful tendencies. The Bible says, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). As we get more and more converted, as our faith and relationship with God grows, we will naturally revere Him.

Our hearts have to be converted first. We cannot repent, obey God, do any good deeds according to God without being converted from the inside out.

I don't believe you've ever cornered me. We are at complete opposites with our beliefs, so sometimes I choose to bow out of conversations that are not going anywhere. Why? Because I know no answer I'll give will satisfy the person for example a Muslim whose beliefs are so far taken from mine.

I've had a lot of disagreements in these threads with Christians too because what I post is biblical doctrine and unfortunately a lot of what is taught in Christendom is not biblical doctrine for example Zionism. I got tired of the arguments so I avoid them.

I post what I post hoping that it can lead to at least one Christian to find the truth and then study the Bible further and find out more of God's truths.

Everything I post on the Bible I know about mostly. What I posted on Islam (which I know is what is bothering you) is true and I've actually held myself back by not saying a lot more out of respect. I might post more on that but will not enter any conversation or argument with any Muslim about it because it will be pointless.

So if that makes you think I'm a coward, go ahead. It won't change how and why I post.
Respond to post #33 that Infinity posted. They put to you some good points which if you follow the one true God, you should be able to explain and clear up.

The thing that bothers me is you’re quite clearly a deceitful person. I responded to every point you made when you referenced those really sad excuse for Christians (how embarrassing that you take knowledge from them) and you couldn’t counter because there was absolutely nothing you could say to what I posted. I have absolutely no issue with people who have misconceptions and questions about the Quran or Islam. I’m happy to try and clarify their concerns or views. My issue is when you intentionally ignore what it clearly says in the Quran or in Islamic literature in favour of anti-Islamic Christian preachers who aren’t even well versed in Arabic or Quranic literature. That’s why I call you out specifically. You’re afraid of Islam and you spend an awful lot of time on these forums exposing yourself for the ignorant little man that you are.

Let me tell you what I'm interested in so that you stop making these false statements about me as though you know anything about me and why I do what I do here.

I am not interested in unbiblical truths whether they are from Christians or not. I believe a truth has to go hand in hand with biblical doctrine. Its the reason I don't comment much on Islamic threads for example.

What I post is the truth whether you agree with it or not. And I will continue to do that. If you don't agree with it or like it, tough!
No problem continue with your blind faith but don’t misrepresent Islam with your lies. You know nothing about it. I don’t claim to know your Bible and take what Christians say as what it is (even though you get a 100 different answers).

I don't know what post you're talking about but I want to make it absolutely clear, I pick and choose what posts to respond to not you or anyone else okay?

I am not deceitful but again if you want to think so, go ahead. I wasn't looking to responses from any Muslims though. Most of my responses were to the Op of the thread not to you or any other Muslim. I know what and in Whom I believe and I am secure in those beliefs so I am not looking for any response from you because they will be lacking as they always are and won't align with the Bible.

My representation of Islam is correct whether you agree with it or not. I don't want to know anything more about it either. What I know is enough. I have never claimed to know the Quran either. I've read bits and bobs in it but I don't want to read any more because it does not align with the Word of God. So hopefully you now understand my stance.

Don’t get your knickers in a twist, you’re not nearly as knowledgeable as you think you are and you’re a very precious little madam aren’t you? ‘I’ll choose who I respond to’

Don’t be obtuse, you know the post I’m referring to. You literally asked me what post I was referring to? You can’t respond because you’re a layman in scripture just posting pages of things you’ve been brainwashed into believing and won’t reflect upon.

Yes your 3 in one God, who is one but also the son of himself? Adorable paganism.

Muslims not allowed? Oh darn, I’ll see myself out.

You are so arrogant. You know nothing about the Quran, I dare you to make a thread with all your knowledge. You’re devoid of any intellectual weight.
Your stance is not my concern. Don’t spread misinformation about things you have no knowledge of. It only makes you look weak and desperate.

I’ll use your usual passive aggressive farewell to end the matter. There’s no reason for me to contribute on this Muslim-free thread anymore.

‘BYE.’

Whether I am knowledgable or not is not the issue here is it? You're the one who has an issue with me because you're feelings are hurt about what I posted about Islam on another thread. Or is this also about what I said about Hamas as well? And yes I make my own choices about who I respond to. You can't tell me who I can and can't respond to, are we clear? You do what you deem right and so will I with the free will God created in us all!

Don’t be obtuse, you know the post I’m referring to. You literally asked me what post I was referring to? You can’t respond because you’re a layman in scripture just posting pages of things you’ve been brainwashed into believing and won’t reflect upon.
I actually don't. This is the truth, take or leave it.

Yes your 3 in one God, who is one but also the son of himself? Adorable paganism.
Wow I really hurt your feelings didn't I? And clearly you're in a mood to argue too. This will not lead me down the path of anger that you've taken. Go there alone!

And you're wrong about the Godhead. I know you posted this because you want to hurt me which is sad plus I'm sure you don't care about my feelings either. When I posted what I did about Islam (and Hamas) it wasn't because I was looking to hurt anyone's feelings, I was just posting the truth.

Muslims not allowed? Oh darn, I’ll see myself out.
Muslims can do what they want, as anyone else and I can do too. I choose not to respond to most of them most of the time.

I am arrogant because I refuse not to want to get to know more about Islam, because I believe that true Christianity is the true faith or because you deem it so?

Why would I make a thread on a religion I think is false?

If I'm devoid of any intellectual weight what is it to you? I am not sorry about what I posted and I don't care about your feelings about it either.

Your stance is not my concern. Don’t spread misinformation about things you have no knowledge of. It only makes you look weak and desperate.
It clearly is otherwise why come on my thread and make up lies about me just because of what I said about Islam in another thread? Now that I've made my stance clear, I think its best we stay away from each other. What do you think?

I’ll use your usual passive aggressive farewell to end the matter. There’s no reason for me to contribute on this Muslim-free thread anymore.
Good idea.

Goodbye.

@Haich,

I read post 33 and i agree with Infinityloop. It was a response to Douglas summers not me and I honestly did not remember the post at all.

How can you expect me to remember posts from four years ago? Its not like I go back and read them every time I post something new in the thread. To accuse me of lying about not knowing the exact post is wrong therefore.

Douglas Summers posted, "and no man can keep the Law perfectly. He never did away with the law, but we are not under the Law of Moses, but we are to uphold the law."

Infinityloop was right to say that God gave us the law and He expects us to obey it perfectly and that Jesus was more than clear on that point.

One of the things I disagree with with some Christians here is about the law and obedience to it. Some say that the law was done away with and others say that God does not expect us to obey the law fully. But the Bible is clear that we have to be obedient to all ten commandments and if we break one we've broken them all. So Infinityloop was right in his/her point on the law.

I think you did not notice who infinityloop was responding to because you clearly thought it was me. I did not need to respond to the post.

Goodbye.

There is no point trying to converse with you.

There is literally no way to make you see that to each their own and that God Is The Only True Judge.

As He Says,

@phipps

my mistake there Phipps, I didn’t realise the response was from a few years ago. I should’ve read the dates. The thread was revived and was at the top of the religious forum section so I assumed it was an on going conversation and you were avoiding responding to the post. Apologies about that. You wasn’t lying in this regard.
