Another example of how KPop fandom can be criminally toxic...
"Troye Sivan says he won’t “publicly crush” on a K-pop star again..."
"I almost got murdered," he joked
I know it's played off as a joke but he's not wrong. Kpop Stans can't argue properly so they'll intimidate you through cyber-terrorism.

This should be no surprise since people here were concerned about her blonde hair.
when an idol go to an hiatus for health reason or anxiety , that sound fishy, did Itzy album flopped or what ?I remember that Jyp really pressured them for this comeback..

The opinion on the recent album was mixed. I don't look at sales/streaming charts since stans place way too much faith on them. Itzy's appeal has been wavering since Wannabe and it began to crack with Loco and especially Sneakers. My thought is that people have moved on to newer and more viral :)rolleyes:) artists.
JYP has destroyed whatever branding among their girl groups. I can't help to think that it might have to do with them pandering to Americans.

i shared this story awhile back and no one cared
I cared and that's stuck with me since. I hope their family got compensation and they didn't suffer too much. That story showed me how bad work conditions are in the Asian entertainment industry and is part of why I started to pull away from kpop. The same thing almost happened to On3w years ago.

Not exactly K-pop but do you guys follow J3nny P@rk? She's a 16 year old mixed model for SM apparently. I'm not that tuned in with her content but l've seen some of her videos. She seems to be growing in popularity recently or at-least she's being pushed out more with bigger names from what I see. Could be an international thing idk. Either way I'm making this post because the way her mother is allowing her to dress is crazy, especially with her mother supposedly being Korean and living in Korea (aka she knows the social norms and perversions). J3nny's figure is curvier because of her genes yet her mom lets/has her dress so inappropriately. Even in ads, she'll be in clothes that aren't age appropriate, with the same hairstyle that she’s probably doing herself, and she’ll be flirty with the camera or twerking? Long story short, who ever her guardian is, they are capitalizing on her "exotic-ness" in a culture that s3xualizes it. But at the same time, when you compare an 3unchae and the clothes they put her in, it's also terrible. I just feel bad for these little girls. They are the real children, unlike idols in their mid twenties being infantilized.

Nooooo, I love Jenny Park and I hate to see this. But yeah, she's meeting all these idols now, got to go to Korea Fashion week, etc...... yeah I think so as well that she's being groomed unfortunately, and it sucks because she is so positive and seems so sweet.

EDIT: Well guys, she's signed to SM Entertainment so..........yeahhhhhhh _-_

His death was a tragedy and very hard on his loved ones and fans. The industry saw him as a liability. Kurt didn't want to sell out to the industry and he was miserable living life that way. A lot of people don't know who owns the rights to Marilyn Monroe's intellectual property. It's not a family member. Strangers own her image and name. The industry has a secret. Some celebrities are worth more dead than alive because of insurance and licenses.
Yes, I know his death was a tragedy and was damn hard and painful for his loved ones and fans.

But why did his fans never demand a re-investigation into his case despite the many loopholes and lack of valid evidence of suicide?

I wish his fans had demanded re-investigation into his case, then perhaps he would have got justice. 29 years have passed and still his murderer is living her life happily and freely as if she has never done anything wrong, which is really heartbreaking.

Unfortunately, it is the ugly and bitter truth of the world that "death is considered more valuable than life because of property and insurance". Just like "dead people receive more flowers than the living ones because regret is stronger than gratitude".

I too didn't know that Marilyn Monroe's intellectual property was not owned by her family, but actually by strangers, so Thank you Dear for letting me know this.

I wonder why they didn't fight harder. People rolled over an accepted the narrative. The private detective didn't believe her, no one did. His fans were kids, so not sure what they could do. The American industry doesn't take fans seriously. You're welcome. I was sad to find that out. I thought at least her family had that.
