I have had some answered prayers, I can look back on my life and see how God has intervened.
I can see how the churches I have been attending have been exactly what I needed at the time.
I can recognise why I am at this particular tiny town church that many big city folk would find very hard to stay at long-term.
These people LIVE their beliefs, they don't pretend.
The size of the church means a mask of righteousness comes off pretty quickly.
I could post more excerpts here, but instead, if you continue reading The Way home book, then you will get to the parts where it talks more about how privately to hear from God as well as how it works. It says that in order to hear from God, we have to pray to Him in private. So like Jesus said, we should "go into our closet" (find a private spot somewhere: a closet; or bathroom; the countryside; a garden; a lakeside; or the seaside; or anywhere in peace and solitude).

Yes it is, the Nation-State concept was created in the 17th century and started being shipped globally in the 18th century through the impact of the Declaration of Independence of the USA.

States functioned completely different throughout history prior to this. You are speaking through a modern and proto-modern (by 2 centuries) lens and projecting it back onto past history and making your claims from that.
Nonsense.

If you want to pretend that temples (church) and kingdoms (state) haven't existed for thousands of years, during which time these institutions have been forcibly used to control the masses, then you simply aren't being honest.

The "Code of Hammurabi" spawned in Babylon almost 4000 years ago, codified 282 rules that governed not only the legal system and courts of the time, but trade in a market driven economy, banking (including records of interest-bearing loans), etc. And these legal and business affairs were transacted in their TEMPLES (i.e. churches), which served as their official government buildings. That same "code" became a template for the surrounding nations that did business with Babylon, and continued later in the Assyrian Empire, the Neo-Babylonian Empire, the Medo-Persian Empire, Greek Empire and in the Roman Empire. And from the Roman Empire, those same systems have been installed and are in use in virtually every country in the world today.

Leviathan - church (synagogue/mosque/temple, etc. with their priests, pastors, rabbis, imams, etc.), i.e. all organized religion (Job 41:1; Ps. 74:14; Isa. 27:1) and

Behemoth - state (Enoch 59:8)

Babylonian/Roman "law" (aka "civil law"), Babylonian/Roman "case law" (precedents), Babylonian/Roman banking principles, Greco-Roman medical-pharmaceutical industry, and the Babylonian/Roman business of organized religion, proliferated throughout the world today as Talmudic Judaism (hatched in Babylon), Roman Catholicism (hatched in Rome, after the Babylonians migrated there and became the Romans), Islam (hatched in Baghdad, within the former Babylonian Empire), and all of the Eastern/Dharmic religions as well (all Babylonian offshoots).

The "lens" that people need to stop looking through is the one that cons them into believing that these same BUSINESSES and institutions haven't been around for thousands of years in similar forms and/or that they haven't been refined over that same period of time into what we have today, where people mistakenly believe they are free from their influence.

"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free".

- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Here is a great suggested video I received this morning on YouTube!
I immediately thought it would be relevant to this thread, since AJH says we should communicate 24/7 with God.

Hearing from God comes from seeking God through the BIBLE.

Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God

Only those who believe in Jesus Christ .....

Romans 10:9-13 is the very familiar Gospel passage.
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The following verses are neglected too much:

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

....... therefore only people who have heard, believed the Gospel and have genuine faith in Jesus Christ will hear from God through the word of God [scripture].

P.S. There are differing opinions on whether Christians sometimes directly from God in special circumstances etc. but that is worthy of a separate thread!

Back to JAHtruth's "The way home or face the fire" ebook:

3:33 A short period of time after the baby’s birth, it undergoes a change, and suddenly has recognition and awareness. THAT is when the soul has entered the body, along with the Holy-Spirit and the Devil (the enemy-within).

Here Anthony John Hill starts to reveal he completely contradicts the bible about the Holy Spirit and the Devil (Satan), suggesting that the Devil is only our sinful/ flawed human nature.

3:34 The Holy-Spirit, or g(o)od voice, is planted inside the human animal-body, with, and connected to the soul.
That is an absolute heresy. Again, if any self-declared Christian sees no problem with the above claim - YOU are either NOT a Christian, an incredibly new convert who needs to study with a mature Christian/ do bible studies online NOW, or your minister is downright useless [to put it politely].
What does the bible say about the Holy Spirit - openbible
Who is the Holy Spirit - Bible study tools

[I am leaving it there, as I know here A Freeman [and any sympathisers] would like to take the thread completely off -track via "the Trinity doesn't make sense" tactic as usual. I am saying up-front I am determined to keep on the unique contents/ subjects of the ebook. ]

It is the soul’s telepathic connection with God.

Telepathy is not a biblical concept, and I doubt it is an Islamic one either [any Muslims reading, please give your viewpoint and correct me if I am wrong about Islam's opinion about telepathy].

From Wikipedia's series on the PARANORMAL:

Telepathy (from Ancient Greek τῆλε (têle) 'distant', and πάθος/-πάθεια (páthos/-pátheia) 'feeling, perception, passion, affliction, experience')[3][4] is the purported vicarious transmission of information from one person's mind to another's without using any known human sensory channels or physical interaction. The term was first coined in 1882 by the classical scholar Frederic W. H. Myers,[5] a founder of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR),[6] and has remained more popular than the earlier expression thought-transference.[6][7]

The websites that are sympathetic towards telepathy are built upon New Age or Occult belief systems.

To try to simplify things, for you to be able to understand more easily; if you can think, for a moment, of God, as being like a mastercomputer and memory-bank (fountain of knowledge); with the Holy-Spirit, as the soul’s connection and personal computer terminal, linked to the master one; by which, each soul is told and taught privately, individually and personally, what is good and what is evil, by the Lord; then you will have a better understanding of how things work.

God communicates with every soul, including believer and non-believer?!

God gives people a conscience - YES. A direct contact line with God - NO.

Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another,
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Here is a great suggested video I received this morning on YouTube!
I immediately thought it would be relevant to this thread, since AJH says we should communicate 24/7 with God.

What a ridiculous video!

One spiritually blind couple critiquing another spiritually blind guru for 53 minutes (Matt. 6:8). Wanna know what's wrong with the Catholics? Ask the Baptists. Wanna know what's wrong with the JW's? Ask the Lutherans. There are over reportedly 3000 different denominations that call themselves "Christian" fighting each other over their doctrinal differences (the traditions of men), even though Christ said through the mouth of Jesus that He is THE Way home (John 14:6), to Father, which art in heaven (Matt. 6:9).

Let's use the Scriptures to debunk this silly video in few seconds:

1 Thessalonians 5:17 PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.

Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; CONTINUING CONSTANTLY IN PRAYER;

Ephesians 6:18 PRAYING CONSTANTLY (without ceasing) with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all holy people;

Establish Constant Prayer (40)

Sura 2:277, 4:77, 4:162, 5:13, 5:58, 6:72, 6:92, 7:170, 8:3, 9:5, 9:11, 9:18, 9:71, 10:87, 11:114, 13:22, 14:31, 14:37, 14:40, 17:78, 20:14, 20:132, 21:73, 22:35, 22:41, 22:78, 24:37, 24:56, 27:3, 29:45, 30:31, 31:4, 31:17, 33:33, 35:18, 35:29, 42:38, 58:13, 73:20, 98:5

Compare with: 1 Thess. 5:17, Eph. 6:18

Praying in private/secret, not to be seen by others (Enoch 56:5, Matt. 6:5-6).

Sura 4:142, 7:55, 9:107-111, 33:33, 107:5-6

Pray facing JERUSALEM (the City of Peace and Mother of all cities) NOT Mecca (Gen. 22:2-3, 14; 2 Chron. 3:1 & 6:20-21; 1 kings 6:1-2, 11-14 & 8:29-30; and Isa. 56:7).

Sura 2:126, 2:144, 3:96, 5:98, 6:92, 9:108, 14:35, 17:1, 22:6, 27:91, 42:6, 95:1-4

So The Way home or face The Fire by JAH has it correct AGAIN and in PERFECT agreement with Scripture, as usual.

And how many "Christians" gather in a church -- where Father (God) said He does NOT dwell (Acts 7:48; 17:24) on Sun-days, the day of Babylonian sun-worship (Exod. 31:13-17) to IGNORE the words of Jesus by mindlessly repeat the above passage in that public setting, LIKE THE HEATHENS AND THE HYPOCRITES DO?

Matthew 6:5-8 (the verses immediately preceding the Lord's Prayer)
6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt NOT be as the hypocrites [ARE]: for they love to pray standing in the churches (synagogues, mosques, temples, etc.) and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward (they have been seen by men, but God will not answer them).
6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and WHEN THOU HAST SHUT THY DOOR, pray to thy Father in private (Enoch 56:5; Sura 7:55); and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly (by answering you).
6:7 But when ye pray, use NOT vain repetitions, as the heathen [DO]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
6:8 Be NOT ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, BEFORE ye ask Him.

Hearing from God comes from seeking God through the BIBLE.

Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God

And anyone who seeks God through the BIBLE will KNOW that The ONLY Way it is possible to DO His Will (Matt. 6:10) 24/7 (i.e. constantly) is through SELF DISCIPLINE/SACRIFICE (Matt. 10:38, Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23, Luke 14:26-27, Gal. 2:20, Sura 6:162, Sura 92:18-21) and OBEDIENCE to God and His Law ONLY (Matt. 5:17-20; John 7:16-17; Sura 3:1-3; 6:153-157).

How could we BE Perfect, as our Father in heaven IS Perfect (Matt. 5:48) unless we stay in CONSTANT communication with Him?

P.S. There are differing opinions on whether Christians sometimes directly from God in special circumstances etc. but that is worthy of a separate thread!
Someone who does the exact opposite of what Christ COMMANDS, e.g. refusing to keep God's Law and going to church, like the heathens and the hypcrocrites do, clearly hasn't heard nor received the True Gospel Message, and obviously doesn't know Christ, nor Love Him.

John 14:15 If ye love me, KEEP my COMMANDments.

John 14:21-24
14:21 He that hath my COMMANDments, and KEEPETH them, HE it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
14:22 Jude saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will obey my words: and my Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
14:24 He that loveth me not obeyeth not my sayings: and the Truth which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

The perversion of the Gospel in the immediate wake of Christ delivering it:
Galatians 1:6-10
1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel (christianity):
1:7 Which is not another (because they "call" it christianity); but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the [True] gospel of Christ.
1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you (to be "True to The Covenant" - "Covenanters"), let him be accursed.
1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
1:10 For do I now persuade men, or [does] God [through me]? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet PLEASED men, I should NOT be the servant of Christ.

almost one-third of the global population is pleased to call themselves "Christian", having perverted the True Gospel of Christ

Here is what the Apostles were preaching to others:

Acts 5:29-32
5:29 Then Peter and the [other] Apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
5:31 Him hath God exalted with His right hand [to be] a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
5:32 And we are His witnesses of these things; and [so is] also the Holy Spirit, whom God hath given to them that obey Him.
1 John 2:1-5
2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2:2 And he is the atonement for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, IF we keep His Commandments.
2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth NOT His Commandments, is a LIAR, and the truth is NOT in him.
2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

The ONLY Way to hear God is to prepare your temple (you, NOT some heathen temple/church - 1 Cor. 3:16) for Him through "self" discipline/sacrifice and obedience, as it says repeatedly throughout Scripture. The traditions of men (silly religious rites and rituals) make the Commandments of God of NO effect (Matt. 15:3, 9), which prevents someone from obtaining the spiritual eyes and ears needed to see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3-7) and to listen to His Still Small Voice of Reason (Ps. 46:10; 1 kings 19:11-13).

Only the Devil (Satan) could con someone into believing verse 3:33 cited above from The Way home or face The Fire by JAH isn't straight out of Scripture.

Genesis 2:7 And the "I AM" God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became alive and was given a soul [spirit Being] (human+being).

Note well: man (the human) was formed from the earth FIRST (born into this world), and then given a Soul (a spiritual-Being placed inside of the human).

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell-fire.

John 3:6-7
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh (human, and of this world); and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit (a spirit-"Being"/Soul) - (together forming a human+Being).
3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

3:34 The Holy-Spirit, or g(o)od voice, is planted inside the human animal-body, with, and connected to the soul.

That is an absolute heresy.
Who cares? Are you here to defend Roman Catholicism and their satanic dogma, or are you here to LEARN from Christ some child-like humility?

Are you not a human+Being? Have you never bothered to think about what that means?

Again, if any self-declared Christian sees no problem with the above claim - YOU are either NOT a Christian, an incredibly new convert who needs to study with a mature Christian/ do bible studies online NOW, or your minister is downright useless [to put it politely].

Why are you promoting more nonsensical Roman Catholic dogma? THERE IS NO TRINITY, a fact proven by hundreds upon hundreds of verses making that point crystal clear, if the very fact that the word "trinity" nor even the concept of a 3=1 god is NOT found ANYWHERE in Scripture.

The Holy Spirit is NOT some third person in some pagan Babylonian/Roman triad/trinity; the Holy Spirit is our CONNECTION to Father (The God and Father of our Lord Christ, the Saviour), which is given to those who OBEY God instead of men.

Acts 5:29-32
5:29 Then Peter and the [other] Apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

If you are hoping to be able to introduce, promote and defend satanic Roman Catholic dogma here as supposed evidence of "heresy", and believe you should be allowed to get away with promoting that TOTALLY UNSCRIPTURAL doctrine, you are sadly mistaken.

It is your ERRANT and TOTALLY UNSCRIPTURAL viewpoint that you should be questioning instead of questioning Christ and His True Teachings. The Roman Catholics openly mock the Protestant denominations, which they have CONNED into accepting their TOTALLY UNSCRIPTURAL doctrine.

“Our opponents sometimes claim that no belief should be held dogmatically which is not explicitly stated in scripture ... But the Protestant Churches have themselves accepted such dogmas, AS THE TRINITY, for which there is no such precise authority in the Gospels,” — (Assumption of Mary, Life magazine, Oct 30, 1950, p. 51)

Source: http://www.trinitytruth.org/the-trinity-doctrine-exposed.html#Part15

From the Athanasian Creed: "Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith. Which faith unless every one do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly. And the catholic faith is this: that we worship one God in Trinity...

...This is the catholic faith
; which except a man believe truly and firmly, he cannot be saved."

"The doctrine of the Trinity is the central Catholic Dogma, that Catholics are obliged to believe.

“He therefore that will be saved, let him thus think of the Trinity.”
-the Athanasian Creed"

It is the soul’s telepathic connection with God.

Telepathy is not a biblical concept, and I doubt it is an Islamic one either [any Muslims reading, please give your viewpoint and correct me if I am wrong about Islam's opinion about telepathy].
What do you think PRAYER is if not telepathic communication with God? The Bible and the Koran (Quran) are literally FILLED with references to prayer, and that we should be praying CONSTANTLY, i.e. remain constantly in contact with God, our heavenly Father.

You come in here promoting Roman Catholic dogma out one side of your mouth while citing The Lord's Prayer out the other side, which specifically tells us to pray to FATHER, which art in heaven, and NOT to some pagan "trinity". The same Father and God of Christ (Matt. 27:46; John 20:17; Rev. 3:12).

Do you have the phone number to heaven? What channel on a two-way radio do you use to get through? Morse code perhaps?

Prayer, i.e. communicating with Father, is obviously telepathic. It doesn't even require moving the body's lips; all it requires is THINKING, which can be done in the privacy of one's mind.

How do you suppose God via His Holy Spirit can teach, guide or warn any of us about anything if not by thought-transference?

No wonder Christ said the spiritually blind are completely satisfied to be led by the blind into The Fire, having no desire to WAKE-UP and experience the amazing God-guided LIFE that awaits those who strive to get to know Him all day long every day.

John 3:16-21
3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life.
3:17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18 He that believeth him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
3:19 And this is the condemnation, that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil.
3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the Light, neither cometh to the Light, lest his deeds should be revealed.
3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the Light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Matthew 5:44-45
5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

God gives people a conscience - YES. A direct contact line with God - NO.
Hebrews 1:1-4
1:1 God, Who at sundry times and in diverse manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the Prophets,
1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [His] Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;
1:3 Who being the brightness of [His] glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by The Word of His power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of His Majesty on high;
1:4 Being MADE so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Matthew 7:24-27
7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and DOETH THEM, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a Rock (the Truth):
7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a Rock (the Truth).
7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them NOT, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

It must be horrible to be so terribly confused that you've been conned into believing the LIE that our loving, patient, merciful and long-suffering God hasn't been speaking to all us for thousands of years, to give each and every one of us the opportunity to repent. The difficulty has NEVER been with God's Guidance; the difficulty has always been with our stiff-necks, hardened hearts and closed minds, i.e. our unwillingness to LISTEN and to LEARN.

Amen.

Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of The Law [are] just before God, but the DOERS of The Law (The Torah) shall be justified.

Here is a great suggested video I received this morning on YouTube!
I immediately thought it would be relevant to this thread, since AJH says we should communicate 24/7 with God.

It’s a great shame for the church at large that people gave ground on the higher critics over 1 John 5 5-7…

And then there is its intriguing title, Philopatros. It is Greek for ‘love of the Father,’ and is powerfully reminiscent of John’s repeated allusions to the love of the Father which appear in his first epistle (throughout but particularly in 1John 2:15; & 3:1). Clearly, and on this ground alone, we may conclude that Lucian of Samosata was familiar with the first epistle of John, very familiar indeed. But there’s more – much more. Remarkably, and out of all the verses of the New Testament that he could have parodied, Lucian satirises for us our disputed verse, 1 John 5:7. He puts his own satirical slant on it, to be sure, but he has clearly taken 1 John 5:7 and made it the focus of his parody. Even after he has done his work, the close resemblance between the contents of what Lucian has written and 1 John 5:7 is truly remarkable, and leaves no room whatever for any notion of coincidence or happenstance.

One wonders why the critics never mention it.20 But let’s see how Lucian deals with the verse. 1 John 5:7 has: “For there are Three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these Three are One.” (King James Version)

Satirising the verse, Lucian has: “The mighty god that rules on high, Immortal dwelling in the sky, the son of the father, spirit proceeding from the father, three in one and one in three. Think him your Zeus, consider him your god.”21

Interesting, isn’t it? Lucian’s satire (by which he meant to mock the Word of God) contains not just Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but he even tells us that these Three are One, exactly as John does in the 7th verse of his first epistle’s 5th chapter, though in parody, thus unwittingly – I should say Providentially - vindicating the Word of God in one of its most controverted statements. Why, he even uses the neuter gender for ‘three’, as does John, a usage which Porson and so many of his ilk have needlessly and foolishly choked upon. Lucian could not have copied his material from any early 1 John 5:7 apologist, for the earliest of those (Theophilus of Antioch) did not appear on the scene for another fifty years, and the verse was not to be publicly challenged by the Arian heresy for a further 300 years; which leaves only one possible source for his satire, namely John’s first epistle. How else could he have made use not only its content and unique turns of phrase, but also its grammar?

[7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. [8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

The Holy Spirit quickens the Word of God to our spirit if we are born again. The best antidote to deception is to fill yourself with the true words of God through the Bible and to have an experiential faith where you learn to recognise the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

People who are not born again are in a “paint by numbers” understanding of the Bible, and people who trust only their feelings are like blindfolded artists.

Does 1 John 5:7-8 have Added Text?

Some person or persons in centuries past were so zealous to find support for their belief in the trinity that they literally added it. There are numerous Scholars in fact that inform us that this passage has a spurious comment which has been added. The textual Scholar Bart Ehrman described this forgery as follows: “…this represents the most obvious instance of a theologically motivated corruption in the entire manuscript tradition of the New Testament.

Thus the scholarly consensus is that this passage is a Latin corruption that found its way into a Greek manuscript at an early date while being absent from the THOUSANDS of other manuscripts. This addition is so famous and hence so well known that it has even been given its own name and is called the “Comma Johanneum.” Comma means a short clause.

Modern Bible translations come from two manuscripts called the Codex Sinaiticus, which has more edits than any other manuscript in Biblical history (14800 edits), and the Codex Vaticanus which comes from the Vatican. Neither of these two manuscripts contain the Comma Johanneum and why this added text is not found in modern Bible translations other than the NKJV where it was added only to match the KJV.

The King James New Testament on the other hand was compiled from over 5000 copies of copies of the original manuscripts which have long since perished. Now please take careful note that this added text was found in only ONE of the 5000 plus manuscripts. THAT MEANS ADDED! And so there is not one major theologian that does not acknowledge this fact. And yet considering all the irrefutable facts, it is amazing that there are still some who go into denial rather than acknowledge this well-known corruption that is so famous that it has even been given its own name!

The English King James Bible translated in 1611 AD retains this Trinitarian forgery, but none of our modern translations have it except the NKJV where it was added to match the KJV. The King James Version reads as follows, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” 1 John 5:7-8

Thus the words in red are found in the KJV, NKJV but are missing from almost every other translation. Thomas Nelson and Sons Catholic Commentary, 1951, page 1186 states, “It is now generally held that this passage, called the Gomma Johanneum, is a gloss that crept into the text of the Old Latin and Vulgate at an early date, but found its way into the Greek text only in the 15th and 16th centuries.

1 John 5:7-8 was added to the Bible

Here is how 1 John 5:7-8 reads from the NIV and most other Bible translations. “For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

How did the Comma Johanneum first get added?

Comma Johanneum 1 John 5:7-8 Codex 61
It began with Desiderius Erasmus and his “Novum Instrumentum omne” which was the first New Testament in Greek to be published. This Greek text is also referred to as the Textus Receptus. Erasmus did not include the infamous Comma Johanneum of 1 John 5:7-8 in either his 1516 or 1519 editions of his Greek New Testament with very good reason. But it made its way into his third edition in 1522 because of pressure from the Catholic Church. After his first edition appeared in 1516, there arose such a furor over the absence of the Comma that Erasmus needed to defend himself. He argued that he did not put in the Comma Trinitarian formula because he found no Greek manuscripts that included it. Once one was produced called the Codex 61, that was written by one Roy or Froy at Oxford in c. 1520, he reluctantly agreed to include it in his subsequent editions. Erasmus probably altered the text because of politico-theologico-economic concerns. He did not want his reputation ruined, nor his Novum Instrumentum to go unsold. Thus it passed into the Stephanus Greek New Testament in 1551 (first New Testament in verses), which came to be called the Textus Receptus, and became the basis for the Geneva Bible New Testament in 1557 and the Authorized King James Version in 1611. To the left is an image of the Codex 61 with the added words underlined in red.

Scripture translator Benjamin Wilson gave the following explanation in his “Emphatic Diaglott.” Mr. Wilson says, “This text concerning the heavenly witness is not contained in any Greek manuscript which was written earlier than the fifteenth century. It is not cited by any of the ecclesiastical writers; not by any of early Latin fathers even when the subjects upon which they treated would naturally have lead them to appeal to its authority. It is therefore evidently spurious.

Adam Clarke's Commentary on the Bible. Adam Clarke, LL.D., F.S.A., (1715-1832) explains in more detail.

Adam Clarke on 1 John 5:7

It is wanting in every MS. of this epistle written before the invention of printing, one excepted, the Codex Montfortii, in Trinity College, Dublin: the others which omit this verse amount to one hundred and twelve.

It is wanting in both the Syriac, all the Arabic, Ethiopic, the Coptic, Sahidic, Armenian, Slavonian, etc., in a word, in all the ancient versions but the Vulgate; and even of this version many of the most ancient and correct MSS. have it not. It is wanting also in all the ancient Greek fathers; and in most even of the Latin.

The words, as they exist in all the Greek MSS. with the exception of the Codex Montfortii, are the following: -

“1 John 5:6. This is he that came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness because the Spirit is truth.
1 John 5:7. For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one.
1 John 5:9. If we receive the witness of man, the witness of God is greater, etc.”

The words that are omitted by all the MSS., the above excepted, and all the versions, the Vulgate excepted, are these: -

[In heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one, and there are three which bear witness in earth].

To make the whole more clear, that every reader may see what has been added, I shall set down these verses, with the inserted words in brackets.

“1 John 5:6. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
1 John 5:7. For there are three that bear record [in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one.
1 John 5:8. And there are three that bear witness in earth], the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and these three agree in one.
1 John 5:9. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater, etc.”

Any man may see, on examining the words, that if those included in brackets, which are wanting in the MSS. and versions, be omitted, there is no want of connection; and as to the sense, it is complete and perfect without them; and, indeed much more so than with them. I shall conclude this part of the note by observing, with Dr. Dodd, “that there are some internal and accidental marks which may render the passage suspected; for the sense is complete, and indeed more clear and better preserved, without it. Besides, the Spirit is mentioned, both as a witness in heaven and on earth; so that the six witnesses are thereby reduced to five, and the equality of number, or antithesis between the witnesses in heaven and on earth, is quite taken away. Besides, what need of witnesses in heaven? No one there doubts that Jesus is the Messiah; and if it be said that Father, Son, and Spirit are witnesses on earth, then there are five witnesses on earth, and none in heaven; not to say that there is a little difficulty in interpreting how the Word or the Son can be a witness to himself.

So Adam Clarke's Commentary on the Bible makes the issue very clear as to exactly what was added. The square brackets have been bolded to make them clearer and easier to see what was added.

Bible Translations for 1 John 5:7

One might ask why this text is missing from almost every single Bible translation apart from the KJV and the NKJV. And why did the NKJV translators use this added text anyway since it is absent from the manuscripts that they translated from? Does the fact that the translators of the NKJV Bible being Trinitarian have anything to do with that?

(A Conservative Version) “Because those who testify are three:
(Analytical-Literal Translation) “Because three are the Ones testifying:
(An Understandable Version-The New Testament) “For there are three who give their testimony [about Jesus]:
(American Standard Version) “And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
(Bible Basic English) “And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is true.
(Contemporary English Version) “In fact, there are three who tell about it.
(The Complete Jewish Bible) “There are three witnesses -
(Common Edition, New Testament) “And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
(Darby) “For they that bear witness are three:
(English Majority Text Version) “For there are three that bear witness:
(English Standard Version) “For there are three that testify:
(Good News Bible) “There are three witnesses:
(God's Word) “There are three witnesses:
(Holman Christian Standard Bible) “For there are three that testify:
(The Hebrew Names Version) “For there are three who testify:
(International Standard Version) “For there are three witnesses-
(Living Oracles New Testament) “And it is the Spirit who testified; because the Spirit is the truth.
(The Message) “A triple testimony:
(New American Standard Bible) “For there are three that testify:
(New Century Version) “So there are three witnesses that tell us about Jesus:
(NET Bible) “For there are three that testify,
(New International Reader's Version) “There are three that give witness about Jesus.
(New International Version) “For there are three that testify:
(New Living Translation) “So we have these three witnesses -
(New Revised Standard Version Bible) “There are three that testify:
(Revised Standard Version) “And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
(Revised Version) “And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
(The Scriptures 1998) “Because there are three who bear witness:
(Twentieth Century New Testament) “It is a three-fold testimony--
(Updated Bible Version) “For there are three who bear witness,
(World English Bible) “For there are three who testify:

So we can see in the above list that only the KJV and the NKJV Bible have included the added text.

@A Freeman, I am asking* a simple question for future reference:

If a Roman Catholic says/ writes something religious, will TWHOFTF (or JAHtruth Ltd.) always contradict what they/ the church says:
YES or NO?

---
* Disclosure: yes, that was sort of a rhetorical question.

Whether it is rhetorical or not, it is a LOADED question, if you didn't know that already.

Roman Catholicism (and its harlot daughters) CONTRADICTS and OPPOSES Scripture, NOT the other way around. All Scripture is in perfect agreement with itself, when properly transcribed, properly translated and properly understood. Hence the reason the pope is referred to as the "son of the destroyer" (Satan) in 2 Thess. 2:3-12, and why the Babylonian mystery religion is exposed in Rev. 17, followed by its prophesied destruction in Rev. 18 along with all of it followers.

That is why it is such an easy matter to point out your errors when you pretend that The Way home or face The Fire by JAH, prophesied to be delivered to us during these end-times (John 16:25; Rev. 10:6-10; Rev. 2:17) somehow contradicts the rest of Scripture, which it simply cannot do.

So YES, the hypocrisy and satanic rites, rituals, traditions and superstitions of Roman Catholicism, many of which the "mother church" has passed on to its Protestant daughters (e.g. the pagan "trinity", pagan holidays like Christ-mass and Ishtar/Easter, and its pagan "sacraments") will continue to be exposed by Christ during His Second Coming, and His Disciples, for everyone's benefit.

The Truth cuts through all of that nonsense "like a sharp two-edged sword".

Yes, we all know it by now.
Scripture makes sense only if AJH transcribes i.e. moulds it to his own belief systems, unique to JAHtruth.

I actually wasn't referring to RCC's position on the *Bible* this time.

I am referring to all of RCC's writings, including saints, popes and church leaders' books over the centuries. They are religious texts that are highly valued and viewed as holy because a famous Saint wrote them.
Some Church doctrines were formed over the centuries due to saints' alleged hearing from God.
Revelations then became traditions then became doctrines.

Do you believe TWHOFTF disagrees with absolutely everything the RCC teaches ?

1 John 5:7 has pagan origins
Son how did Lucian of Samasota know to satirise a later interpolation? You can’t make fun of something someone has yet to say!!!

Satirising 1 John 5 5-7, Lucian has: “The mighty god that rules on high, Immortal dwelling in the sky, the son of the father, spirit proceeding from the father, three in one and one in three. Think him your Zeus, consider him your god.

As Bill Cooper writes in the “Authenticity of the New Testament” (a must-read btw)

3:34 The Holy-Spirit, or g(o)od voice, is planted inside the human animal-body, with, and connected to the soul.
That is an absolute heresy. Again, if any self-declared Christian sees no problem with the above claim - YOU are either NOT a Christian, an incredibly new convert who needs to study with a mature Christian/ do bible studies online NOW, or your minister is downright useless [to put it politely].
It is not just heresy, it is a doctrine of demons. Jahtruth makes their followers blaspheme the Holy Spirit which Jesus warned there is no forgiveness for (see Luke 12v10), then it makes its victims believe that keeping the law saves them.
It's unfortunate to see that people easily forgets how Satan himself used the scriptures and twisted them to tempt Jesus.

Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”
Luke 4:9‭-‬12

The deception is as old as Eden where Adam and Eve got asked if God really said they shouldn't eat the tree. Satan asked ‘Is Jesus really the Son Of God?’ and it became later ‘Is Jesus truly part of the Godhead?' And because they didn't like the truth about the Word of God as explained in John 1, they welcomed a false Christ in Anthony Hill just like there are numerous other false Christs around here, someone coming in his own name who in reality performs false miracles or works in the darkness with entities in the other realm to deceive its followers .

But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?
John 5:42‭-‬44

Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; CONTINUING CONSTANTLY IN PRAYER;

Ephesians 6:18 PRAYING CONSTANTLY (without ceasing) with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all holy people;

The Lutheran couple actually did a sermon review of a hyper--Charismatic preacher who sounded exactly like AJH on many points except he used the name "Jesus" instead of Father/ God.

They made some great points e.g. how people in the bible who heard from God didn't need to get themselves in the right frame of mind, in the right setting/ atmosphere to hear from God... they actually HEARD from God without trying.

Some of us have enough faith to read/ listen to material we disagree with.....

Very interesting! I have known a number of Catholics and they do take great store by personal experiences of Mary, saints, omens and many other things that resonate with the “AJH way” of looking at things. They also have a low view of scripture (elevating the Critical Text narrative and the need for the Magisterium of ‘The True Church”) and certainly an elevated view of the pronouncements of men!

good catch Jo!
