Jah IS God... tbh, I'm baffled by this statement.
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
cast up a highway for him that rideth
through the deserts; his name is JAH;
and exult ye before him.
Ps. 68:4
The verse doesn't say JAH rides through the deserts; it says He rides upon the heavens or, as it is in the original Hebrew, "on the clouds".

Psalm 68:4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens (or "on the clouds") by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.
Compare with:-
Matthew 24:30
And then shall appear the Sign ("Star") of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall ALL the tribes of the Earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the "Clouds" of heaven with power and great glory.
God, Who is omni-present (present everywhere at all times) doesn't need to ride anywhere does He?
There is only One Prophet in the Old Covenant that brought down fire from heaven (on multiple occasions no less), and that is Elijah. There is also only One Old Covenant Prophet Who was taken up into heaven: Elijah. Christ made the following statement while He was here in the body of Jesus:
John 3:13
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of Man which is from heaven.
For the above statement made by Christ to be true, Elijah
MUST be Christ in a previous incarnation, because only Elijah and Christ have ascended to heaven (Enoch was "translated"). Further, Christ and Elijah are used interchangeably in Malachi 4, and prophesied to return just before Judgment Day, to either return us to keeping The Law and loving one another, or burn for our continued rebellion against God.
Malachi 4
4:1 For, behold, the Day cometh, that shall burn like an oven; and
all the proud, yea, and
all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the "I AM" Lord of hosts, that it shall leave of them neither
root nor
branch (nothing).
4:2 But unto you that fear My name shall
the Sun of Righteousness (Christ, The Light of the world) arise with
healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be
ashes under the soles of your feet in The Day that I shall do [this], saith the "I AM" Lord of hosts.
4:4 Remember ye and return to The Law of Moses My servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for
all Israel, [with] the Statutes and Judgments.
4:5 Behold,
I will send you Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the "I AM" (
Sura 43:61):
4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse (see verse 1 above for details of the curse).
There is, of course more, but if you don't already see the connection and the obvious conundrum in denying Elijah is Christ -- which would be foolishly calling Christ a liar -- then there's no point in continuing.
Further, when Christ (The Angel/Messenger of The LORD/Word of God) led Moses and the Israelites through the wilderness for 40 years, Father (God) said that His
NAME was in him (Christ/Eli
JAH).
Exodus 23:20-23
23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in
The Way (
ch. 18:20;
Deut. 11:28;
31:29;
John 14:6), and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
23:21 Beware of him, and
obey his voice (
Mark 9:7), provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions:
for My name [is] in him.
23:22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
23:23 For Mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
No sarcasm or offense intended... perhaps you were just typing too quickly to notice the wording above-- but you do consider yourself human, correct?
No error was made. It may have been baffling to you because in times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act, as George Orwell said.
One more question-- you cited Matthew 5:17:
Do not think that I have come to abolish
the Law or the Prophets; I have not come
to abolish them but to fulfill them.
What does it mean to you that
Jesus fulfilled
the Law..?
The Greek word that is being translated into English as "fulfill" is "pleroo", which has half a dozen different meanings. The ONLY one of those six meanings that doesn't render the verse and the subsequent two verses self-contradictory and thus nonsensical is
"to fully preach". ALL of the other meanings would make Christ a liar (including the meaning most "Christians" choose to apply), because you cannot say you haven't come to abolish The Law while at the same time (in the very same sentence) and then abolish it anyway.
The Gospel Message is to strive to be perfect, like God (
Matt. 5:48), through obedience and self discipline/sacrifice, following Christ's True Teachings (
John 14:15) and Example (
John 14:6).
