The human mind is still developing and easily influenced at those ages. Teenagers in high school are still quite mentally undeveloped.
I guess you would also take offense to seniors who call 18 year olds “babies”

I just believe it's creepy because when people say teenagers are children- 13-19 years of age ESPECIALLY 16-19 year olds, I'm thinking that they must believe actual children 1-12 are the exact same as 13-19 year olds which isn't true. So it's like when you look at teens, do you also see 5 year olds? Do you treat them like that? It's just off to me, but you know it's natural for older folks to see younger folks as children. My aunt calls my sister who is a grown adult "child" simply because she's decades older, so I guess that's just how it is.

You're right, teenagers are underdeveloped, but that still doesn't equal child? They're still more developed in all areas as opposed to an actual child.

I don't know, I just hope people who see teenagers as children don't treat them as if they're toddlers who are incompetent. That's when it would start to get creepy- to me at least. I remember seeing a video of a father treating his 16 year old like a literal 3 year old. That's why when people say teenagers and young adults are children, it feels disturbing.

for me, i'm turning legal next year, i just turned 17 last nov. i dont feel like im pushing adult hood, but i wouldnt say im immature for my age. I've been told I'm quite mature.

Well, brain development wise you're immature. But you could very well be mature in your personality! I don't understand why people stereotype teenagers to be immature, petty and that's it. There's more levels to it. I used to get so upset when I was a teenager and people underestimated me on many things but I proved them wrong.

You're overthinking my comment but I get where you're coming from.

Yes, there are different levels (baby, child, teen, young adult etc...) but the underlying theme is being undeveloped.
This is not to say that we shouldn't treat a person based on their age group. Teenagers would be treated with a different understanding than a literal child.

Lurch will be revealed as a serial killer. Since this is Netflix anything is possible.

At the same time, with two examples: if men do not help women at home. She will be too exhausted and too busy to work. Or even when she works, they are paid less. If the women are not helped, don't be shocked, that the women take money from their husbands, to buy, for example, food. While she could bring herself back, the money. You do realise the show is literally called "Wednesday," so she's the main character right? It shocks me how males freak out when the very same thing done for eons (considering 7.5/10 main characters are males), where the men portray narcissistic, brutish, selfish and entitled brats... has been thrown in our faces as a daily digestible! They all get a pass and worse still are celebrated because they're powerful and in control. Yet when the shoe is on the other foot, you boys scream like a banshee. As soon as it's a female protagonist, the 2.5 in 10, you lot lose your minds. Get a grip and some self-reflection/critical thinking!
I don't for one agree that two wrongs make a right, but the second you're faced with the very same treatment that has been rammed down female throats all our lives, you guys freak out. Sucks doesn't it. And it's been done for so long, no wonder the Jezebel spirit is rising, women are foolishly feeding it with their rage, and a woman's rage is particularly personal.
