I agree that in the military service, especially in the South Korean military service, junior soldiers are heavily tortured by their superiors and there is no limit of it. They are also sexually abused and they are put in a situation where they can't do anything for themselves and because of that they have a mental breakdown, which is bad and mental breakdown is not good. Besides, the South Korean military service is worse. But in Taemin's case, I don't think his mental breakdown is genuine, but I could be wrong too. I hope he is alright.

I know why you might think that but I believe his breakdown was genuine. I was still a Sh@wol during Advice era and it was clear he was dealing with some mental health issues. You could see stress lines on his forehead and temples and his smiles were fake. I remember there was one Shinee performance where you could see his hands visibly shaking at one point. During the Vlive where he announced his enlistment his body language was defensive and he didn't smile even once after they sent him to the military. I don't think he can fake things like his body language or stress lines.

The victim is a dancer called Mo, Kai-yin Lee. The giant screen is 4m by 4m and weighs 600 kg. This accident happened on the 4th of a total of 12 concerts. He survived but was in critical condition in the ICU, as of July 29. He is in danger of becoming permanently paralyzed from the neck down. There had been a series of safety issues from rehearsal to the first 2 concerts. The dancers protested but the management just brushed them aside and blamed an injury in the rehearsal on the dancers. After the accident, the concert organizer did not call off the remaining 8 concerts until the gov called it off for them. Apparently those management never thought of that the dancers and singers and fans were completely traumatized nor there was a serious need to re-check and ensure the safety of everything. This is so sad. Like, why would fans think it’s okay to show up to an event dirty and smelly. What a shame!!

I also feel like kp0p targets people who suffer with social skills and awareness too. Like a lot of fans have mental issues and other issues going on.

I’m sure that the idols that look so nice on tv are probably laughing at fans behind the scenes. I’m not saying all of them, but there’s no way these people like their fans like they say they do.
Some do also think they better because they idols and act terrible towards people. Most are nice, but some are not.

Some of the idols are r@c!st too towards fans of color. I’ve heard many stories of idols being mean to international fans and bl@ck fans.

To be honest, I felt damn weird when they donated coal briquettes because I was not expecting it and it shook me. But it is common in South Korea to donate coal briquettes to poor families in winter, who cannot afford heating costs. But nonetheless it is strange because Jonghyun was blamed for taking his own life through coal briquettes, when in reality he did not take his own life. And I don't think Jonghyun's family believes he committed suicide because a person like him can never commit suicide, especially because of depression not at all.

There are many more things they could have donated to help them to stay warm in winters instead of coal briquettes. But donating coal briquettes is very common in winter and is less expensive and more affordable than other things, especially in donating firewood and heaters. That's why donating it is most preferred.

I only shared my opinion but I agree with you both that he looked upset and scared in his pre military enlistment vlive and he was not alright. Maybe he knew that something bad could happen to him in the military, so that's why he was tense, but still he was trying to show himself strong for the fans so that the fans would not get upset. I hope he is completely alright now.
