The plans say vulnerable individuals should continue to be sheltered but idk how you decide if your a vulnerable individual or how you prove you are.. just a question.
OK, I found what you're talking about. Good question. Maybe Gov. Polis will write in protections for anyone that feels vulnerable? I really don't know.

Since my county had enacted orders before the state, I'm more anxious to see what my county does.

I have MS does that make me a vulnerable individual? And if it does how do I prove it? I haven’t been to a doctor since 2013 because I haven’t had health insurance... lots of questions.

Do state orders supersede local?

Let's quickly pop over to see how our heroic front line staff are coping with this terrible virus.

Yes and no. As an example, when my county did it they said cities could make rules more strict but not less. I imagine it works the same way from state to county.

Conversely, when the county raised the smoking age, cities could opt out.

Jurisdictional law gets muddy.

In this country (UK) the government sent letters to vulnerable people telling them they were vulnerable.
That's how they knew.

I believe that the government got their lists from the NHS. People who were being treated for certain conditions, and local doctor practices sending lists of their vulnerable people.

In practice it seems a bit random.
People you would expect are not on the list, people you do not expect are.

But this is just my personal observations and opinion. Maybe they have an ultimate DNR list and they used that.
Or maybe they grabbed names out of a hat.

Doesn’t work in America where so much of the population doesn’t go to the dr because they can’t afford to. Like I said, questions..

No, it will not kill cash. The black market and under the table rely on cash.

The way people have panicked over this virus..I could see cash as becoming one more thing to panic over while people look at us as a suspect way of catching the virus.

I don't think cash people fall into the panic group.

75k by the end of August is what the latest projections are. I guess anything less than 100k will be considered “winning”
this was a fun little toy. Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard made a simulator that makes predictions based on current conditions, more strict lockdowns, and lifting restrictions entirely.

there was no real difference made when conditions were changed from shelter in place to more strict lockdowns.

There was no real difference between 8 weeks at current conditions and 12 weeks. They come to about what your saying if I remember right.

but when you change conditions to 4 weeks or no restrictions at all between now and aug 31, the numbers start jumping a lot.

With no restrictions when I looked at states individually, they were basically a .5% mortality rate when compared to the population of the state as a whole and somewhere around 1% when compared with the predicted number of positive cases.

so it will be interesting to see how this goes. At this point, I’m just like people can do what they want. If they want to reopen, let them reopen. I’m probably not going to change much in the next 8 weeks myself, but I did have a different situation to begin with and have been working. So I understand the money thing. I would just prefer that we were giving people money to make it 8 more weeks, but that’s just me.

No restrictions works out to about 1 million deaths by aug 31, but if people have no problem with that, then let’s just go ahead and test this whole thing.

Yes. I can see how it would be different in your country.
I sympathise with your situation. It seems very confusing.

But is is certainly weird for someone just to get a government letter labelling them as 'vulnerable', and under different rules to the rest of the population.
It makes me wonder what other lists they have.
What other labels have been applied.
