Photo is too big apparently, but it's late lunch of two thin pork chops, apples, butternut squash and spinach. Seasoned with salt and pepper, little mustard seasoning and oregano. It's not bad.
Tried this again minus the spinach but sauteed all in apple cider vinegar and a little bit of dijon mustard. Much better! :)

Today I ate a pot noodle...
I feel ashamed.

They banned this ad, which is funny, because its the most honest ad I have ever seen.

Looks like ramen noodles, which I don't miss. The sodium filled diet of a poor college student. We had little hot plates to cook them on. :p

My wife made lasagne yesterday, but she didn’t cook the sauce down long enough, nor did she bake it long enough, and then she didn’t let it rest before she cut into it. So we’re having lasagne soup.

It’s delicious.

As long as it tasted nice, who cares what it looks like!
That’s actually a picture of the sauce as it was cooking. The lasagne is delicious, and really not that runny. :)

Are you going to post some pics of the Somali dishes you’re making? I’m dying to see. Is it anything like Ethiopian food?

Ah i see!

Oh I will, but the past few days we've just been having fish dishes and homemade pies, nothing too interesting.

I'll be sure to post something Somali in the coming days and yeah it is very similar to Ethiopian food but we are more generous with the meat and spices ;)

Why don't you post your Michelin standard food?
I didn’t know that was only the sauce and not the lasagna for one. And second he did it was soupy. It didn’t look like lasagna to me and it wasn’t..just the sauce.

Do you mean hot spices, because I’ve had Ethiopian food that left my mouth in flames. Not that I minded.
Not hot spices but things like cumin, ginger, garlic, coriander etc... we have this spice mix called Xawassh with a ton of spices (no chilli!) and it is usually the base of most sauces and curries.

The good thing about Somali food is that a chilli sauce is served on the side so you add it to your food to taste. I'm not a huge fan of chilli so I rarely add it to my food...

I think as a chef, you may like xawassh spice mix as it goes great with lamb, chicken, beef...pretty much anything...

Have a look and if you're interested maybe you could try making it at home with some fresh herbs and spices. Since all we have now is time lol may as well experiment.

Well there are no pasta sheets present in the image so that was a huge clue.

I just don't appreciate how you make little side comments or remarks which are completely unnecessary, then get defensive when called out.

Anyway, hopefully you'll post some tasty food on this thread too.

He said it was soupy..I guess that means different things to different people.

All I said was O my...I don’t think that was mean and I thought it was a picture of lasagna soup.

I already made two posts.
