If the global response was consistent and coordinated, you might have a point, but not all of us are on lockdown. Today I ran some errands, got my oil changed, went for some medical tests, then went and got my sister and brought her to my place for dinner. If this is lockdown, it doesn’t feel like it.
I went grocery shopping this afternoon and took my dog out for a walk. We’re not locked down but we also cannot be in groups no more than 5 in public.
Essentials are still open. Wal-mart, grocery stores, gas stations, home depot, lowes etc.
I enjoy the break off of work, but it’s not fun when movie theaters, restaurants, gyms and barbers are closed. Pretty much all my leisure is shot lol.
I’m surprised nobody has brought this up about italy and spain is that they are social countries. Italy is real intimate in greeting people like hugs and kiss on the cheek type stuff. It’s their culture.
Same with spain where I always hear people have social lunches and always meet up at cafes etc. Just their culture.
Just food for thought. Since this virus is ever so contagious, maybe that social/intimate culture is spreading stuff.

Just one thought.
There’s a lot of tangibles that can be why this spreads. But again. Just saying
