Thats not realistic. Every serious, workable model for future trends is clear in that we need more affordable housing.
If you cap yearly rental increases to a percentage lower than the average yearly property tax increase a lot of people are just going to stop being landlords. No one stays in a business that loses money. We definately do need more affordable housing... I just don’t see that plan as written being the way to get there. If he said “yearly rental increases capped at cost increases plus 1%” or something that would make more sense.

Well, as I type both Bernie and Biden are lighting up her phone for an endorsement. Which way will she go? I do think Bernie lost votes in the northeast because of her on Tuesday. She did hurt Bloomberg, so there is that.
Who she personally is more akin to ideologically and who she ends up endorsing actually is irrelevant to what I was saying.

A lot of warren supporters are not going to automatically go to sanders. This has been noted by the media as well. I hope she endorses sanders and her supporters don’t sell out because of fear but while I’m pretty sure she will endorse him I’m not counting on the second part.

And now it starts... trump will be giving a rally in Scranton today and it’s going to take me ten damn hours to get home because of the traffic and security.

She has been pretty principled throughout her career. I do not see her endorsing someone she doesn’t believe in. And she’s been feuding with Biden for decades.

If you were working your ass off and being paid slave wages you’d be singing a different tune Lisa. But you don’t work. So it’s easy to say.

I have no idea what kind of business your husband owns but I can assure you he wouldn’t be doing it for free or if it wouldn’t provide a life for his family. Expecting honest pay for honest work isn’t entitlement dingbat.
I don’t take things for granted and am thankful for what I have. I have been poor, grew up poor, was poor when I met my husband and I wouldn’t call myself rich now..just blessed by God.

Sure, honest pay..well the employer decides what pay they will pay and the worker decides if he can do the work for that pay...so if you don’t like the pay find something else...isn’t that how life works?

It’s kinda looking like he’s going to pick warren. He put out a statement of support for her today stating she will stay in this fight and he is grateful that she is. They spoke on the phone yesterday before she dropped out. I’d be happy with either choice.. but it looks like that might be how it’s going.

If he picks Warren, first off be ready to lose to Trump because most Tulsi supporters wont stand for it and neither will many Sanders supporters either. Thats just based off of Bernie being weak and capitulating over and over last/this cycle as well as Warren being a snake and a sellout who just tried to tank his candidacy with lies a few months ago.... he has many supporters who are barely hanging on to his campaign since he seems like the best option, but that would be a sign of disrespect, weakness, capitulation and honestly a clear signal that he has no intention of seriously perusing his stated agenda.... and I dont think his candidacy would survive such a brain-dead move.

Oh my... how to unpack this?

You seem exceptionally hostile towards warren and I kinda wonder why? Her platform is near identical to sanders. She’s been fighting for decades for the same things as sanders. She’s anti war just like sanders and tulsi. They have been friends and colleagues for years and apparantly sanders has no ill will towards her at all.. see the statement he released today showing support for her (he didn’t make statements about any one else who’s dropped out).

I’m open to listening to what your complaints against her are. I just don’t see it. I’ve been following her for a very long time. In no way would I see this as a capitulation.. she wasn’t trying to tank his campaign anymore then tulsi or anyone else is trying to tank his campaign. She was running her own. She had every reason to do so.

If anything this would be uniting the progressive wing and quite likely getting more women on board with sanders who have been pretty turned off by some of his followers behavior (I would be lying if I said it wasn’t a turn off for me - it is). It would fill in his weakness - he lacks details and plans for his vision, she has them in spades. They are a good team. They balance each other.

I’m also fine with him picking tulsi. I would not be fine with him picking some establishment goon to try to woo the neoliberals. Short of that he has my vote.. in a swing state.
