Did you guys catch the wizard of oz theme throughout the whole music video??
yeri(I think that’s her name?) is in that room with a woodsy scenery behind her which looks like the path Dorothy took and met up with those three characters( the lion, tin man, and someone else, I don’t remember) they are stuck but Dorothy helps them break free from their bonds so they can go meet the wizard.
Joy grabs Wendy and runs away with her but it looks like wendy is in a trance or daydreaming so Joy snaps her out of it.(breaking the bond)
I think the symbolism for joy cutting the red string in the music video shows she’s trying to get the members out of a trance.(breaking another bond) You see two members with Red yarn(or whatever that is) After that the members start rebelling Since they are Being woken up out of their trances by Joy. They are waking up to the awful things they are being put through to be idols, like mk ultra, occult rituals, sacrificing etc or they are starting to see the industry for how it really is.

to me this symbolizes that she is aware of her other personalities. the alter is seen turning around and looking at her other self. This really shows that this girl has more than one alter and she’s becoming aware of them.
these girls are waking up from a “spell”and want justice for all the horrible things done to them which is exactly like the wizard of oz!
irene is being shown in the music video as someone who has control over the members. I actually watched a lot of their music videos and Irene is always the one who’s tricking her members. In one scene of a different music video she’s the puppet master controlling the other members like puppets! so Irene is the evil one and joy is the innocent one since she’s shown in the previews of psycho that she’s trying to warn the members of the evil And breaking the bonds of the girls who are in a trance.
in one scene of the music video Irene pricks her finger on the sowing machine which you see that symbolism a lot in music videos( usually with roses) So that symbolizes to not judge a book by its cover. Just because it looks good on the outside doesn’t mean it’s good once you get in. The industry looks good on the outside but its Actually evil. She’s waking up the harsh reality of being a kpop idol And the things you have to do. She’s trying to change her reality but accepts it in the end since the ending scene shows them happy with dresses(being blinded by materialism) they are starting to like their lifestyle only because of the fame and money That comes with it. Which is why they call themselves psychos. They are willing to do evil things for the life they have.

i don’t think Irene is necessary bad in real life Or joy is good. I think they are trying to play roles of the good and bad parts of themselves and people(yin and yang). Idols are innocent when they first enter the industry(usually)and they turn into evil by doing the occult rituals. Even if you have good within(innocence) still left, it’s only trapped because you have to be an evil person to do things they do And there’s evil people in power that use their idols like puppets(which is what Irene represents). This whole video just shows the duality of black and white. Representing the good and the bad but also so they can’t fully integrate their minds leaving them dissociated and lost and can only see in black and white. Living in a fantasy of fame and wealth.
