Did the Thief on the Cross walk with the Lord? Serve Him? Preach the Gospel to all creature? Keep all the laws?Since nobody is understanding it, allow me to put it into more detail. If you believe in God and repent, that's good but will it get you saved? Yes, IF you have FAITH in your HEART. If you're repenting just to have proof he exists, then that doesn't count as being saved. THAT was what I was trying to explain. Not only do you have to believe and repent but you have to have faith. You can't just repent WITHOUT faith. So I was actually just trying to add on to it, not much changed.
Now if you don't serve the Lord correctly, and you hardly do his will, or just stop then your name WILL in fact get blotted out the book of life. The "once saved, always saved" thing ain't true. I just want to INFORM people who WANT to know Christ that they had better have faith, and make sure their walk with the Lord is good. OF COURSE we are NOT perfect, so yes we ALL turn lukewarm and/or cold sometimes but as long as we repent with God seeing our TRUE intentions in our hearts, we will be fine. I'd also like to add you can't repent just for the sole purpose of getting a happy ending, you have to TRULY want a relationship with Christ.
So for any lukewarm and/or cold Christians here I advise you look at how your relationship with God is and make sure you become HUMBLE and admit your sins, hide from God no more and lower your pride. If you do not repent, your name will no longer be in the Book Of Life, and you already know what that means.
So all of this above was a more detailed add on, and also a warning. If you cannot understand, then I don't know what's going on with you.
Nope! He didn't have to do anything to show for his salvation other than recognizing who Jesus is and believe.
