I accept that Muslims, and Arabs, such as Ibn at-Tabari, are as capable of writing their history as Jews, such as Josephus and the Biblical author of Kings and Chronicles are of theirs. It’s why the Kurdish Revolution in Rojava scares the piss out of extremists, women demanding their freedom. May God allow this revolution to spread to every corner of the Islamic world.

Well, it hasn’t come up till now and I’ve been back awhile, so I think its hardly an obsessive hatred.

I think killing people and being nice are not really the same types of things are they Orwell?

Looks like a tent to me, an oppressive person deleting, hot, black prison. Makes me sad for the women who have to wear them. And I think it goes with the op...no regard for the desires of women. Women don’t really desire to wear such a thing.

It bothers me because I see a prisoner not someone who is liberated. It makes me terribly sad that anyone has to live like that. She only wears it in fear that if she doesn’t she will be raped anyway...the women of Western Europe are learning about that now.

The issue, to me, is this: by forbidding female infanticide, Muhammad saved more women's lives than anybody on this board probably ever will. The rest is academic, and worth discussing, no doubt, but that point stands on its own.
