Its even more ironic when they wear burqa for "modesty" because
i as half saudi can tell that most women there, if not all or elders, wear it as fashion. The burqas are heavily embrioded and designed etc. Not only that but Saudi women have kind of erotic way of dressing lmao, burqa is their culture not religion.

I want women to dress modestly because they love God and his commands, not because there might be a pervert down the street.
I can't speak for the rapist but I would presumed they are after young and pretty girls. I don't see why an older women need to wear a burqa for "modesty". After you hit that 50 year old mark, you can wear regular clothes? In my opinion, Muslims need to catch up to today's tradition a bit. Get rid of the burqa necessity already, that thing belong in the 7th century. Even for the hijab, why do Muslims women need to always wear it? Can they just wear it when they want to and other times put on regular clothes at the mall for a change. This is why Macy's is about to go out of business, you ladies don't shop for regular clothes. So like I said a jean and t-shirt should be pretty modest in today's culture.

Maybe Muslims shouls try and change it up like the gorgeous East Indian dresses! Modest but so beautiful!

Beautiful, stylish, very colourful and I for one admire the Indian women who wear them. They are accepted by society as well. I think Muslim women can learn a lot from these women and take a few pointers.

covering head is a different thing, there is no such thing as "Burqa necessity".
most wear it as fashion in the middle east, if old salty women want to wear it for modesty they can, just don't try to use religion to justify it, because the religion doesn't tell you to do that.

"In my opinion, Muslims need to catch up to today's tradition a bit"

Today's tradition includes stuff like walking around topless or shorts which are more like underwear.
We dress modestly and that should be the end of that. I've said it many time, abaya/burqa is cultural thing, if women do it in the west meh whatever, just don't say its religious.

Nothing wrong with these different kinds of styles that even caucasian women like to wear.

These are becoming more popular where I live among younger muslim women, I love them!

Lmao some of them probably are muslims especially the tea pink one seems Pakistani. Thats how we dress here, in Pakistan, for festivals etc. otherwise we wear normal clothes.
The first three pictures are "wedding dresses". the second one is similar to my half sister's dress who is getting married today.
The last one is definitely indian though.
You can just google Pakistani or Arabic dresses especially weddings one and they are beautiful. Even arabic abayas are fancy, contrary to the full simple black ones which are worn by Grannies etc and the so called extra religious ones

Here, we rarely see Muslims in a burqa or full covering, they wear normal western style clothes with just a head scarf, most are pretty stylish.

Same. I don't wear hijab but if i do cover my hair i just wear it like this

Thats how almost everyone wears it. Veil is for old hags or paranoid narcissists who think everyone is after their beauty

Yes they are very beautiful, I absolutely love them. I find them to be more attractive than most of the clothes we wear like Jeans and leggins/yoga pants. The material
keeps you cool so I've been told.

The jilbab and khumar are fard on the believing women and whether one covers more than that (face and hands) based on evidences that she deems to be most correct, whether she is a young mu'minah or older - that should be her choice.

More than that, it is fard on the Muslims to strictly refrain all forms of gossip and backbiting in regards to their fellow Muslims so @manama I say, I may not know you but God does, fear Him with regards to the rights of the Muslims upon you if you truly hope for His Mercy on the Last Day.

One of the worst types of gheebah and one which is most emphatically forbidden is to look down upon a Muslim and do one’s utmost to insult him, show disrespect towards him and cast aspersions upon his honour. This is a blameworthy characteristic and a serious malady; it is one of the major sins and the one who does this is subject to the warning and a severe punishment.

And Allah knows best.

Don't call things "fard" when the religion doesn't call them that.

This is why most young muslims end up hating Islam or any young religious person hating religion. Stop shoving religion down people throats pretending to be helping and taking God's name as some sort of psychological convincing.

"Fearing God" includes not adding your own beliefs into his commands.

Only recently have women adopting wearing the clothes of man. For much of human history, women have always worn long dresses. Pants and jeans were designed for men but this twisted satanic society that wants men to be women and vice versa have confused our perception. The dresses in the picture are how my wife dresses and they're cool and comfortable. She used to wear pants and whatnot but after switching her style to a more modest and ladylike fashion she doesn't want to go back.

These are attractive. Do you and she prefer this style, then, over the burqa, etc.?
If I may ask, does she wear a head covering?

Both she and I prefer it over the burqa but you have to remember that depending on the region the burqa is basically a long dress, like the one in my picture, bu in addition with a whole face veil. Also, my wife is Canadian so it's not like she grew up seeing burqas everywhere but she's smart enough to know that pants are not for women. Once she started researching Islam and Christianity she realized that women wearing men clothes have only been around for no more than a 100 years.

First off to all you other trolls, not you Lady, I wouldn't force my wife to wear something she doesn't want too but I'm fortune enough to have a wife that knows and respects herself and me to dress accordingly. Anyways, yes and no. She's still on the fence about the hijab. Of course, when she goes to the mosque she wears a head scarf and when she prays.

I thought as such. Our clothing choice gets modified depending on the situation. What I wear at home when I am not expecting visitors is way different than when I am out in public in mixed groups.

I do not like the staring eyes of men, and I notice a different spirit present when I do put on something less than modest for public wearing.

My husband is not at the same level in this, so these are my own decisions based on scripture and the Holy Spirit's inner communication with me.

Of course. I hope you don't believe that women who wear burqas and or a hijab out in public also wear it at home?

No woman who respects herself would. If you know you look good and feel good then there's no need to be dressing in a manner that will undoubtedly get the attention of men around. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the clothes designed for women today was meant to be provocative and receive all those stares. Of course, if a woman goes out in shorts and a tank top men are going to stare and I mean all types of men will and so if you don't want that type of attention wearing a long loose dress that covers everything will mitigate it. Yoga pants, skin-tight jeans, and etc. leave almost nothing to the imagination.
