You're recollection must be pretty bad.
You are correct! Got my wires crossed between the goofy flat-earther thread and the 'grind my gears' thread when Koncrete Mind showed up here and you back-patted each-other's 'lying scientists are liars' posts; managed to get you confused with the fellow who was advocating the same premise back in the flat earther thread. Sorry about that.

P.S, pick a profile pic! Bad at names, good with images. :p

I do wish everyone would pick a profile picture. I know it's not required, but, even if it changes occasionally, it makes it so much easier to keep track of convos when everyone has a personal image associated with them.

Evolution.. or Devolution?? That's the real question. I haven't read the majority of the posts on this thread so I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but we are certainly "volving", I'm just not sure if we are "e-volving". Most likely we are "de-volving". Evolving assumes that we are advancing, progressing and becoming more like gods. Devolving assumes we are getting increasingly more stupid which appears to me to be more correct.

I have to agree with you there, I mean, self-improvement seem to be something of the lost art, I could think of all the insane things that people do that make one wonder, but I don't suppose that there is the idea that we're just evolving in the different way, even if we don't agree with some of the choices that people make, that's one way of looking at evolution.

You are seriously going to debate evolution on a forum where bunch of people think gravity means air and earth is flat, justin bieber is a shape-shifting lizard lmao
It shouldn't take 2 seconds for any religious person to see that since Adam and Eve were black with brown eyes, and yet we have pale skin blue eyed ppl, somewhere along the line microevolution/mutation did occur. If it can happen at a smaller scale, it can happen at a larger scale

Our minds can definitely devolve. It's called regression, and we can all display such symptoms. The real question though, is whether this is happening on a larger scale, to the entire civilized race. I believe that it is. And I further theorize that at some point the human mind just didn't know what to do with all the useless information it absorbed. With our minds being deliberately overloaded by stimuli like T.V and Internet the only way our minds could cope is to cling to few things and deem them more important than everything else.

The hands of the "Gatekeepers" come to mind here. Like our minds are a castle, and we have been tricked into only guarding the front gate.

When you say "evolution" do you mean the whole came from monkeys thing? No I don't believe that but I do believe we've evolved slightly over the past thousands of years and that has to do with genetic mutations, environment, etc.

Yeah, I think in my personal opinion we should decide if the information we're looking at is useful to us or not, I believe that would be a good guideline for any truthseekers who want to know what's going on, point being, we should educate ourselves on topics such as this.

When did I say anything about Adam and Eve? What is it with people and tryna force you into false dilemmas. Like either you believe in evolution or you're a fundamentalist Christian. That's like saying I must be a Democrat if I don't like Trump. I'm none of the above.
Jesus as an ancient 1st-century Jew must believe Adam & Eve were literal humans.

Evolution is a process that takes thousands of years. That people have been dumbed down in this latest western generation is hardly an evolutionary trend, and is inflated in our perception massively by the fact that the internet provides everyone an anonymous forum, allowing idiots to unite and loudly spout idiocy without embarrassment, and thus making idiots seem far more numerous than they actually are.

The big misconception you have here is that we're evolving toward some predetermined destination; that we're all progressing toward some higher state of being, some god-like state. The rapid advancement of our understanding of the world and our ability to apply that understanding to create increasingly complex, magnificent tools isn't in itself evolution; evolution unlocked our cleverness, but the vast majority of human knowledge has been learned and applied only in the past few thousand years, the most complex stuff only in the past few hundred. You can easily confuse our advancing understanding of the world and technology with the evolutionary process, but they're by no means one in the same. One just facilitated the other.

Well, I do have some kind of idea that we're suppose to evolve to, well, god-like beings, my guess is that exactly how we're going to evolve depends on the choices we make, of course, people do confuse the evolutionary process with technology, I have to agree with you on that.

What is a god-like being and how does that work that we evolve to be one?

I meant that in the sense we can become like creators, I believe that we just evolve naturally.

Creators of what? And how would that make us God-like? You could say that people create now...doesn't make them a God.

True, I just like to talk about different ideas of evolution, the one I was talking about is the higher state of being.

How does a higher state of being equal being called God or God-like? I've kinda of heard of this but I'm not sure what this entails. And you think this can naturally happen?

Well, it doesn't have to be god-like, actually, I believe many of us evolve quite well, we learn stuff, we do good things and everything.
