Will you be doing business with people that have replaced humans with robots?

What about AI integration nowadays? Is this fair human replacement? It’s definitely a tricky subject. While robots and AI can boost efficiency, for example, in areas like warehouse storage software or even self-storage security, there’s a real concern about jobs being lost in the process. Automation’s cool, but I get that a lot of people value the human touch, especially in customer-facing roles. That said, when it comes to industries like logistics or even indoor storage business operations, AI seems to be doing more of the heavy lifting without the same ethical dilemma. Maybe it’s more about finding a balance—using automation for tedious tasks while still keeping people where they matter most.

It depends on the business. I know some people are suspicious about using AI and robots, but in general, they can ease, fasten and even enhance the process. I've recently dealt with the extensis hr customer service that combines tech support with personal touch. They make managing HR tasks easier without losing the human element, making it a win-win situation.

Another question- would you be happy working under a robot boss?
Personally I wouldn't be happy and neither would Worf..:)
In one episode Picard is away somewhere and made Data the captain in his absence but Worf grudgingly resents it, for example Data makes a decision and Worf mumbles under his breath "about time", so Data takes him to one side and reprimands him.
To me, Data is not a person or a "he" he's just an "it", a computer on legs, and I'd ask for a transfer to another ship rather than serve under "it"..:)

I believe it depends on the context. I see the value in using robots for efficiency, but the human touch is irreplaceable in many areas. However, tools like chatgpt for user interface design https://dworkz.com/article/chatgpt-for-ui-design-all-benefits-and-drawbacks/ can enhance creativity and streamline processes. Striking a balance between automation and human input is essential for achieving the best results in any business.

I've been an online computer wargamer for many years, and although game producers like to boast by saying "It's got "one of the toughest AI opponents around", I can still run rings around it, so AI doesn't impress me one bit..:)

PS- in the real world, AI is just as dumb..:)-

(Technical note- flares decoy heat-seeking missiles, and chaff bundles (short aluminium strips) decoy radar-guided missiles.
So when the pilot gets an 'incoming missile' warning, he hits the 'Decoy' button to make the plane pop flares AND chaff bundles)

Many airliner crashes happen because the pilots relied too much on automated AI systems (browse youtube crash vids), so if I was an airliner pilot I'd disengage the autopilot and everything else and take manual control at the first sign of trouble..:)
Sully did that after hitting the flock of birds and all sorts of alarms started going off, he switched them off and said to his co-pilot "My aircraft" to indicate he'd taken manual control.

Apollo 11 was under AI computer control during its descent to the moon's surface, what could possibly go wrong?..:)
