I suppose that's fair enough.A matter of reason. For example, I am against the sculptures as I see them as idolatry (Shirk in Islam). But BLM doesn't show a sane and consistent reason for this.
I blame the institutions though. These are clearly cases where capitulating is more cost-effective, plus removing a statue means an institution doesn't have to hold any *person* accountable. I think that's what BLM really wants anyway, people held to accountability.
People don't advertise their corruption though. In fact, people will fight for their right to be corrupt.
