There were also releasing at some time (and I think for some reason) gender bender dramas (intrigue gender) in Korea. And some of them I liked especially. But I always wondered why they released such dramas so much? For what reason? It's strange
Gender bender dramas I watched:

Sunny Management decides to overhaul boy band m2 with new members. The present members will be "graduated," but fans of m2 oppose the idea and demonstrate outside of Sunny Management's office. Sunny Management holds an audition, which Ji-Woo takes part in. Due to being nervous, Ji-Woo fails his audition. His audition video is posted on the internet. This riles up fans of m2 even more, complaining how the applicants are worse. The story of To the Beautiful You, distributed over 16 episodes, centers on Goo Jae-hee, a Korean girl who lives in the United States. She is bullied in school due to her looks and almost wanted to drop out of school. One day, she sees a track and field competition on TV, and becomes attracted to one of the high jump competitors, Kang Tae-joon. She begins to idolize the young athlete, and is then inspired to join in sports and to stand up against her foes. She eventually transfers to Korea to attend the same school that Tae-joon attends after he suffers an accident that could potentially end his career. There is a catch, however: Tae-joon attends an all-boys high school, Genie High School, so Jae-hee cuts her hair short and disguised herself as a boy to enter the school.

The drama tells the story of an unlikely romance between a tomboyish woman, who dresses like a man in order to get work, and a young food empire mogul. It contains homoerotic elements, as the man does not initially know of the tomboy's true sex.

And one was about intersexual people, not transgendered. An interesting, touching story. This is a japanese movie:
