His blood IS the blood of God, since he is God in human form, but his genealogy comes from his mother.

It’s a great book for understanding the sinless nature of Jesus’s blood.

Btw, both Mary and Joseph’s lines are of significance to Jesus. It goes right back to the “Seed of the Woman” prophecy in Genesis.
