The problem is @phipps

the same group that you bash & for good reason (the catholics set the books of the bible you are reading) so imho i probably would read what they tried to suppress and see why they did it at least. The book of enoch was removed around the 5th century so for over 500 yrs from the time of christ & since its referenced in the gospel & specially in JUDE one could logically extrapolate that it was canon for them hence JESUS also referencing it in Luke with the sermon on the mount, but then the cathos retconned it and other books i would suggest read them also and pray about.

Why just go with what the cathos want you to read? They are not the most trustworthy group of priest now are they. ;)

Why do you always forget that God is always in control Maldarker? The Bible is God breathed, All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The prophets who wrote the Bible wrote what they saw and heard in human language, but their message came directly from God. God knows which messages are His and which aren't.

God is in charge of His infallible Word not human beings. He protects it and makes sure false books do not make it in the final cut.

Again just because Jude is referenced does not make the book of Enoch the truth. The whole book must be the whole truth of God or it is false. God made sure it was taken out or there would be more confusion than there already is and that's saying a lot.

Unequally Yoked.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18:

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."

The results of the sons of God (righteous, faithful people of God) marrying the daughters of men (unrighteous, unfaithful people) sadly ended with the flood destroying all of them and their children. The Bible tells us sin increased so much so, that God regretted creating man and He decided to destroy this world with a flood (Genesis 6:4-7).

The problem was that Instead of the sons of God influencing the daughters of men, the daughters of men influenced the sons of God.

The Bible is filled with stories about the sons of God mingling with the daughters of men and the disasters that follow as a result. Samson, chosen by God, was derailed by the Philistine women. His parents pled with him to avoid marrying a pagan bride, but he insisted on having what he wanted (Judges 14:3).

Solomon no doubt believed that he could marry the daughters from pagan nations and convert them. However, those pagan daughters drew away Solomon’s heart. This is why God is so adamant about His children not marrying unbelievers. It is almost always the case that the believer is gradually transformed by the unbeliever, not the other way around.

God does not want His children marrying the unconverted or the unbelieving, even if they have a pretty face, the nicest disposition, or a passionate belief in another religion. It makes no difference; God says that relationship will have problems.

Same could be asked of you so don't go there - I know he is in control - And you just said all scripture is GOD breathed but yet scripture that was used and quoted for a along time until cathos decided that they should determine what is or isn't of use to YOU OR ME should again give you pause - and question it.
So GOD is now the roman catholic church? They are the ones that picked what went in to the bible what you are using today. Again you miss the fact that its 500 yrs later they decided to remove things doesn't that bring you pause? At least it does me. Why should i accept what they are claiming is what should be canon? when they are the ones that changed the sabbath & other things? Its like going back to an abuser and going i trust you but i don't very strange imho.

BTW according to your logic i guess for want of a better term: You say this -

"Again just because Jude is referenced does not make the book of Enoch the truth. The whole book must be the whole truth of God or it is false. God made sure it was taken out or there would be more confusion than there already is and that's saying a lot."

He referenced it and GOD is not the author of lies or confusion so if what jude referenced was going to bring confusion or lies because according to you its an all or nothing then it wouldn't have been quoted or kept in scripture to begin with. But there it is. So...

And you never addressed the question on why your ok with the roman church of that time setting the books that are in it today.

You think too highly of the Catholic church. They distorted God's Word but thanks to God through the Holy Spirit we still have His true Word to be able to discern between truth and lies. That's how we know what day the true Sabbath is and what isn't.

Satan through the Catholic Church has tried to distort God's Word foe millennia. During the Dark Ages, only the clergy were allowed to read the Bible. The common people would be put in jail or even killed for having a Bible and sharing its teachings. We know from history that the reformers violated the laws and studied the Word of God for themselves. And because of their actions, many of them were burned at the stake. Despite the efforts to completely eradicate the Bible, it is the best-selling book in history.

God picked what would go in His Word, not the Catholic Church. Just as He decided which people He would use to write the Bible, translate it in the different languages etc etc. Many prophecies in the Bible have been fulfilled. There are over a hundred prophecies in the Old Testament about Jesus that predict events that would happen in His life centuries before they happened.

Don't forget there is more to God's Word. His Word has power. Its the same Word He used to create this world. The Bible tells us God spoke the heavens and earth into existence (Psalm 33:6-9) for example. The Bible also tells us Jesus is the Word. We are led to that truth through the Holy Spirit If we are receptive to Him then our lives will begin to be transformed from the inside out. Sadly most people are not receptive and Satan uses that to confuse them with distorting God's word and in other ways of course.

Yes, God is not the author of lies and confusion which the book of Enoch is. Whether you accept this truth or not, the book of Enoch is not in harmony with the Bible. That is why God made sure it would not be part of biblical cannon.

The Bible as we have it today with 66 books is down to God not human beings.

In these end times, the Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in opening our eyes to the spiritual truths that the natural eye cannot see.

Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come" (John 16:13).

The Spirit reveals the deep mysteries of God's kingdom and helps us to understand the things of God, which the natural man cannot perceive, "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14).

In these last days, the god of this world, Satan, has blinded the minds of unbelievers, but the Holy Spirit helps us see the truth, "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them" (2 Corinthians 4:4).

As we face the deceptions of the end times, Jesus warns us to anoint our eyes spiritually so we can see clearly, "counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see" (Revelation 3:18).

With the rise of false teachers and widespread deception in the world (Matthew 24:11-12), the Holy Spirit is more essential than ever to help us discern the times and hold fast to the truth. Let us rely on His guidance to see beyond the physical and stand firm in our faith, especially in these days of prophecy fulfillment.

I have. God has always preserved His Word in all its tumultuous history. There were always a minority of faithful believers who had either partial or full transcripts of the Bible and preserved it. This in itself is a miracle that testifies to its trustworthiness!

So we are going to have to disagree on this subject. God has preserved His truths in all the ages since creation and now we have a fully compiled Bible with 66 books which is the infallible Word of God. Whoever compiled the Bible, Catholic or not, God was working through them and He made sure the Bible was His truth not man's. God saw to that not human beings. Its teachings guide, comfort, and transform us as no other book can.

I mentioned the prophets to show there is a power to the Word of God that we see what was written being fulfilled and it all matches too and then it was all compiled together in the Bible for us to see it was His hand that did this. We can have confidence and trust that the Bible as it is, is God’s Word.

God bless.

a minority of faithful believers such as the coptic/orthodox christians? They believe the scripture of enoch unlike the cathos - again like i said you are going to trust the same group you don't trust? IDK bro sounds like load of BS - I would at least study it and other scriptures they rejected your taking it at face value that what they said is well "gospel"

All Scripture Again i repeat all scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”

you would have been better off stating that the reason the other books aren't in the bible is because they lacked apostolic authorship or shallow in spiritual content and have been debated over not that they aren't important but not central to the message of the gospel per se.

Good point --
First Enoch has always been a part of the Ethiopic Bible. Whether it is canon or not, I consider it a valuable resource. The intro is significant imo, considering its resurgence as of late:

The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed.

And he took up his parable and said--
Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come.

Agreed. The origins of the Nephilim are disputed, but appear several times across other books as giants or Symmachus- translates "the violent ones. Some view them as the offspring of rebellious angels and humans. Others view them as descendants of Seth and Cain. This reference to them is in Genesis 6:1–4, & Numbers 13:33, ten of the Twelve Spies report the existence of Nephilim in Canaan prior to its conquest by the Israelites. A similar or identical Biblical Hebrew term, read as "Nephilim" by some scholars, or as the word "fallen" by others, appears in Ezekiel 32:27 and is also mentioned in the deuterocanonical books Judith 16:6, Sirach 16:7, Baruch 3:26–28, and Wisdom 14:6.

According to the Bible, Enoch and Elijah are the only two people God took to heaven without their dying. Genesis 5:24 says, “Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.” Second Kings 2:11 relates the earth-to-heaven translation of Elijah: “As they [Elijah and Elisha] were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.” Bible doesn't say why.

Enoch was a seventh-generation descendant of Adam through Seth. He was the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah. Genesis 5:24 describes Enoch as a man who walked “faithfully with God” (NIV) or “in close fellowship with God” (NLT). The name Enoch may originate from a Semitic word meaning “to dedicate, initiate.” Enoch was 365 years old when “he disappeared, because God took him” to heaven (Genesis 5:24, NLT). Some scholars believe Psalms 49:15 and 73:24 are references to Enoch’s story.

Elijah lived many centuries after Enoch during the reigns of kings Ahab and Ahaziah when Israel existed as a divided kingdom. Elijah was a worker of spectacular miracles, including the calling forth of drought and rain (see 1 Kings 17:1, 17–24; 18:16–46). He was perhaps the most powerful of God’s prophets in the Old Testament. Elijah rather fittingly means, “My God is Yahweh [the Lord].” Elijah spent his prophetic energies proving that Yahweh was superior to the false god Baal. The Bible says Elijah was walking and talking with his understudy, Elisha, when the two prophets were separated by a chariot of fire pulled by flaming horses. Suddenly, Elijah was carried up into heaven in a whirlwind.

Yes-- the Bible alone supports the existence of the Nephilim, as the result of the Sons of God and the Daughters of Adam... I think that's what you're saying. :)

You may be familiar, but if not and you're interested-- skip to the 3:10 mark. He breaks down the error of the Sethite theory and etc.

Only 7 min. total.
Oh... iirc, they're also called the 'earth-born.'

Here is Dr. Gene Kim -a Baptist (Bible Only/solo scriptora) preacher who studies this at length. He has several videos. They are wild and he gets into uncharted territory. Here is just one. Go to 29 minutes in for how they got really corrupt, fallen angels with women, then those giants offspring- mixing with other species? Thats where all that superhuman, succubus, mermaids, vampires, centaurs, incubus, etc...folklore comes from; when it got really wicked and untenable, murderous and violent, before the deluge. Then, God brought complete genocide flood, which seems cruel? But, he had no choice if actual original humans and our intended paradise- were being totally destroyed by these arrogant sociopathic hybrids. Noah was the first and only 'conspiracy theorist' in his era. I hope this isn't too sinful to study this stuff? God did not want us to know the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden, but Lucifer did. Why? Adam and Eve at from the tree- & huge punishment ensued for Lucifer and mortals that very day. We were punished with death. Jeez! God had to create time for mortals, no such thing in heaven or hell. Some preachers think we were not supposed to know b/c such deep, dark knowledge of evil takes us to a permanent lower vibration, since we can't unlearn it. And, others, (Freeman) believe it is b/c we are fallen angels coming here to earthly prison to learn to make our way back to heaven (The Way Home or Face the Fire), which is why Lucifer comes at us constantly hating us b/c he considers us all to be traitors. Who knows?

Then later, when Jesus came to earth born of the virgin Mary, and died on the cross, he descended into hell for three days. The bible does not mention what they were discussing for those 72 hours- what terms were they Re-negotiating about us humans? I believe Lucifer wanted to take away our free will, essentially, make us all Mk Ultra endentured tortured slaves? He's trying to do it still to this day, with those Elon Musk brain control NeoroChips.

Biblically the flood that destroyed all human beings (including the giants/nephilim) except Noah and his family happened because of sin. Not because fallen angles had sired hybrid children with human beings (that's impossible), "The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them (Genesis 6:5-7).

Man must have been so wicked because the antediluvians, rejected God completely that He said His Spirit would not be with man forever, "And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years" (Genesis 6:3). He did withdraw His Spirit from man completely eventually.

The wickedness of man was so great and had increased so much, that God was grieved that He made man. He determined to destroy man off the face of the earth. God gave man 120 years beforehand. This was their probation period before the flood. During this probationary period Noah preached to the about the coming flood while he built the ark. They laughed and mocked him and thought Noah was crazy.

One of the reasons for that is that the people had never seen rain before. The earth was watered by a mist or dew that rose up from underground reservoirs, "before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground" (Genesis 2:5-6). The antediluvians had never experienced rain and probably never knew what the flood would be like so when Noah began to preach that the earth was to be destroyed by a flood of water, the people thought Noah was crazy.

So they rejected Noah and continued on with their normal lives as though they had all the time in the world. They thought things would always continue as they were.

When God shut the door of the ark. That was probation closed. It came unexpectedly to the antediluvians. They didn’t know that probation had closed. They were unconscious of it. So when did they know? When the flood came, and took them all away. They became conscious of the judgments of God when it was too late. It wasn’t until the water was up to their necks. That they came knocking at the door of the ark saying let us in.

Sin is what separated mankind from God since the garden of Eden. Sin has always been the issue. Its the reason Jesus died in our stead on the cross. If He hadn't done that we would all die because we've all sinned. Christ died a most awful death, separated from the Father so we don't have to go through that because the wages of sin is death.

When we accept Christ as our saviour we accept his gift of salvation. Then He begins to transform us from the inside out and we become new creatures through the power of His resurrection. And at the second coming of Christ our sinful human nature will be removed, and we will be dressed with incorruptibility and we will forever be with Christ, never to be separated from Him because of sin.

Matthew 24:37, "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

Those who perished in the waters of the flood had an opportunity to escape. All were urged to find refuge in the ark; but the multitudes refused to heed the warning.

Noah preached warnings for 120 years and only 8 people were saved. The flood of water is gone. The flood of plagues, fire and brimstone is coming. Lets come entirely under the blood stained banner of Jesus' truth before its everlastingly too late for us!

Thanks~!

Dr. Michael Heiser

If you're watching Dr Kim, then you will probably love Mike Heiser. I binged watched all 4 parts over a weekend when it came out. It's remarkable.

Have you seen this already?

P.S.
There is nothing sinful about studying the Bible.
The false doctrine of the (institutionalized) religions are meant to keep us away, or at least redirect our attention to their false interpretations of the Bible.

This is the best resource imho-- Biblehub
The interlinear (INT) at the top of the page lets you look at verses word by word-- which is very helpful. They also have the LXX -> the Septuagint/ Greek OT, in English. :)

Never thought about this before:

I have always thought that Noah was safe inside the Ark because he built it according to God's specifications. I thought that perhaps it was the strength of the gopher wood and the soundness of the architecture that ensured that the waters of the flood would not come into the Ark.

But today I encountered a verse that shifted this whole paradigm. Let's read what Genesis 7:16 says, "So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in."

Don't miss this.... even after Noah had built the Ark, it was God Himself who shut him in, in order to shut out the waters of the flood... In other translations this verse says "The Lord sealed them inside."

It is not the fact that you have locked your house that keeps you safe at night, it is not your good driving skills that keeps you safe on the road, neither it's your healthy eating habits that keeps you healthy - only God can shut you in and shut out the devil that is seeking to devour you.

Only God can do so much for us.

Without Him, we are nothing.
