I also do evening shifts sometimes (15:00-23:00) and I absolutely hate it,lol. Telephone ringing every two minutes,guests checking-in in hordes,a constant buzz from the main street outside...a nightmare Night shifts are super, not much to do other than some late guests and the arrangement of the day's cashier. It's me,my laptop and plenty of interesting stuff to read and watch

Try swapping shifts with somebody who hates doing night shifts..

Incidentally, a post-apocalyptic world might sound bad, but this group in 'Survivors' (1975) have set up in a big country house after a plague has wiped out most humans and amazingly they seem to have adopted the right mindset pretty quickly and are having this after supper singsong to the light of paraffin lamps and acoustic guitar, it's almost as if they're glad they don't have to haul themselves out of bed tomorrow to go do boring jobs in the world.
Their choice of song is very telling because they know the old noisy rat-racing world has gone forever and doesn't matter any more..
