Speaking of the Titanic, there's a theory that it wasn't sunk at all, but was an insurance scam by sinking its sister ship the clapped-out Olympic instead.
Apparently the scammers replaced the Olympic's nameplate with the nameplate 'Titanic', but i'm not sure I buy the theory.
Oh wait...
In recent years a remote diving submersible spotted the letters M and P on the nameplate as if in 'OLYMPIC'-
